Oden played pretty good actually, 6-9FG, 14 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks.
Well Greg Oden played about half as good as TD's first or second ever NBA game ;).

This team is always content with shooting jumpers.
It's why we've been a pretender the past two years. We're a one-dimensional, jump-shooting team. The playoff teams will be content to let us shoot ourselves out of games.
It's like Pop doesn't look at results whatsoever. He just goes with whatever hair-brained schemes he can think up.

All hail "spurms"! LOL! Spurs are better then this.
At least my fantasy team doesn't suck...
Spurs are lucky to be in this game, but they've shown some grit.
Don't mean nothing though if you can't get over the hump...
Nothing? Spurs had a lot of growth tonight win or lose...much improved defense.
People forget that there are a lot more new players this year, all who need time to adjust to each other.
This was a back-to-back and we were without our pg and leading scorer with Parker going down. Folks need to chill...this team will be rolling in march.

At least we finished strong on the road, and shorthanded at that. The loss is upsetting, but it was encouraging to see them creating turnovers.

Oh well, we lost. Manu needs to get his head out of his ass. He's nowhere near where he needs to be. I say less minutes for Manu these next couple of games.
If Tony plays the next game, the offense needs to revolve around him and RJ. I'd also like to see some high low action with Tim and Dyess.

Gritty effort down the stretch. Bogans showed a lot of positives. Not a horrible night but gotta start getting wins with the schedule easing up.
Too bad championship teams are not measured by how they do against average teams. The Spurs record against the better teams in the league is far more telling with regards to being a contender.
I want to see if they can consistently beat the top teams. Hopefully as they progress, they get to that point.

McDyess's defense is still MIA, but if he finds his jumper we may have something.
He hasn't been given any consistent court time to work out how to play in this system!
Start Dice. Start Bogans. Sit the "wide open 3pt... miss" brothers. Cross fingers and hope to hell Spurs ball turns up.

well it's still the 4th game, if Manu still gives that kind of effort in a 4th quarter in three months then I'd be worried.
His three ball is gone. I think he needs to get used to his post injury ankles.

That or sit him out entirely if Pop can. He needs to go back to the gym and start practicing his jumpshot and his handles. Boguns has a better percentage than Ginobili.

I think I'll get back to watching spurs basketball once they put a legit center alongside Tim. This small ball for 4 quarters shit is lame and frustrating to watch. We have two pieces with height, plug one of them in and get on with it.

Dice, Bogans played well. Once again, Finley and Bonner sucked! Pop the stubborn donkey needs to bench these worthless idiots! I just don't understand why he continues to play them? They just plain suck! Manu looked rusty so it's going to take some time to get in playing shape! Pinche Pop needs realized that his favorites the worthless ones Bonner & Finley just don't work! They are defensive liabilities and now offensive liabilities as well!:bang

if anything good comes out of tony going down maybe hill finally gets some big minutes and picks his game up
Do we even make a comeback with Tony out there tonight? I am a lot more encouraged with Hill's defense. I want a defensive tone set from the start. If that means starting Bogans, Ratliff and Hill then I am all for it.
TP can come in off the bench when he is back if he is that gassed after 3 games.

Like I said a few posts ago if TP is that gassed and can't play any defense at all then he needs to come in off the bench when he comes back. Does anyone notice it, but his body language looks pretty bad when we get down or when he gets scored on. I don't like that shit from TP.
I want to see a defensive tone from the start. Ratliff, Bogans and Hill. If they have to start to help set the tone then I am all for it.
