OKC with a completely different attitude on defense... Memphis was scoring incredibly easy in previous games, and they're having a hard time right now...

This Memphis team is resilient though, OKC needs to keep the foot on the pedal....

I won't deny that the outcome of this series has an impact on the Spurs, and I won't deny that I'm rooting for Memphis.

Maybe you should own up to the fact that you'd rather have the Heat play OKC in the Finals, because you know the Spurs would kick the Heat's ass.

just stop, you're making yourself look bad. lol trying to save face for your "predictions" of doom for OKC. get out of here with that shit.
Memphis starting the corpse of Tayshaun Prince wasn't a good move, and it absolutely played a part in their loss today. Durant was getting whatever he wanted, and it raised his confidence, while opening up things for everyone. That wasn't the sole reason for the loss, because their offense was nonexistent, but it didn't help. He brings absolutely nothing on offense, so he's a net negative on the floor. This was Memphis' best chance to close them out, and with Scott Brooks finally giving Adams minutes, it doesn't bode well for Memphis.

That said, I made my prediction, and I'll going to go down with the ship if need be. Memphis in 7. Mike Miller with the game winning 3 pointer.

No way the Spurs are as good as last year with Parker looking completely worn down. They're significantly worse than last season. Dallas is in no way some kind of nightmare matchup; Spurs just aren't playing well at all other than last night.

I wouldn't write Parker off because of a series where Dallas has specifically done everything in its power to limit Parker. Going under on screens to cut off drives, and sticking a 6'10 Marion on him, all of that and he's still posting 17 and 4.5 assists of 45% FG. He will improve as the Spurs advance. There has been nothing to suggest that he will have a Ginobili 2012 and 2013 post season.

The Spurs bench is superior to last seasons bench with Mills and Belinelli to replace Neal, Manu has played some of his very best basketball in recent years this season and its continued to the playoffs. Diaw is also better this season than last year. Leonard has shown he is capable of stepping up his game, given how well he played in the 2nd half of the season he could have his best playoff with extended minutes.

The Spurs defense is 4th best in the NBA. Only Indiana, Chicago and GSW are better.

I'd expect the game to be called fairly, given the extra attention. I just don't see OKC losing 3 out of 4 times in OKC. They lost just 7 times in 41 home games.

I think the Pacers will win game 7. They dodged a major bullet and won't blow their chance to avoid the embarrassment.

That's naturally to be expected. Blowouts by favored teams are not exciting. Memphis winning is much more exciting because it was so unexpected, and if anything, most people were picking OKC to blow out every game in this series.

He's been good enough in the first halves of the series. He has struggled in the 2nd halves. Remember, the playoffs are more demanding but their is extra rest in between games. Especially if the Spurs closeout a series before the other series is completed. Assuming we advance that far, he could have 4 or 5 days rest in a certain situation. He has shown an ability to turn it off and on.

Marion simply makes it harder for Parker on screens they are switching or trapping on P&Rs, he can't turn the corner and use his speed to take advantage of a defender trying to play catch up. Diaw can help with that. He has shot the ball pretty well from 3 and even hit the go ahead 3 in game 4. They have to be much more conscious of how they play the P&R when he is running it with Diaw, given his ability to drive and court vision.

Just cause Parker isn't going 05 Phoenix on an 9 year older Marion doesn't mean all that much to me. He just has to pick his spots and make the best play possible while taking care of the ball.

I think you're also underestimating the Spurs balance. The Spurs have 5 players score at least 15 points in a crucial game 5. The Spurs have explosive scoring role player that could post 15 on any given night like of Green, Beli, Mills or Diaw. The Spurs don't necessarily need Parker to dominate. He could be the 17 ppg, 5 ast. 50% FG Parker and the Spurs would be just as good as if he was the 21 ppg Parker the last couple of seasons.

Randolph has his pros and cons on D. Overall, I think they can play an OKC-style defense (when the Thunder care) without ZBo. If Joerger is as good as his reputation says he is, the Grizz will be fine on that end. They just have to hope for another fluke shooting night like in Game Two.
