I think even the Parker fans are starting to come around, why it's taken them this long I have no idea.

according to enrique this playoffs is all or nothing, nothing will be another wasteful season

blazers has plenty of lengthy wankers to chuck on enrique and exposed him as usual

i dont believe in enrique since day1 anyway, expect lillard to dump 30ppg on him if both teams do advance

remember enrique only cares about his own individual stats while giving up just as many or twice his output to the other team, and his wanker fans will just sugarcoat it

I really thought he had it figured out after last year's WCF and Game 1 of the Finals. I ain't asking for 30 point efforts every night, he is a PG and his primary job is to run the offense, but is 22-25 consistent points on at least 45% too much to ask? And if they take away his scoring ability, he can set others up. What he have tonight? 2 dimes?

his not a pure playmaker or have any playmaking skills, dribbling down the clock and entry passes late to players in bad positions setup to fail for a last second shot is not good playmaking...if u cant even set plays, at leasts play some fkn defense...

exposed from day1 by phil jackson, now everyone in the leageu is using the same tactic against him by chucking a lengthy wing player on him to close him out...doesnt have a jumpshot to depend on, u cringe everytime he pulls up cause u know theres a high chance of that bricking then actually making it....

only thing his good at is coming into the game after big leads to chase his own individual hero stats, only to give up them big leads and sitted onto the bench again...

everyone wants kawhi to get involve, this was meant to be the year he breaksout

how is he going to break out when enrique is chucking during leads and setting up players to fail with the over dribbling failed penetrations hesitant to chuck a jumper?

then u have guys like patty chuck free mode, green, belli, diaw also needs touches to get going, just not enough touches to go around

kawhi should be gettin more minutes with the bench when ginoboli is in the game, we all know ginoboli is wreckless at times and force to be a playmaker but he is best when hsi only creating for himself, if kawhi is on the court same time as him, will leave of some playmaking duties, have another guy that create his own on the floor...

Leonard is a strange cat. Talented, not near his peak nor lazy. Maybe a bit autistic, so he zones out if you don't keep him involved. But he definitely needs the ball more to get him going.

As for Parker, like my nig TDMVPDPOY, i'll admit that I haven't liked him from the beginning. I've tried to give him the benefit of the doubt but the constant sulking and being selfish are things I felt strongly about years ago. Lot of issues with that guy. Same with Rapist, though Rapist is far more toxic but a better scorer. I think both Parker and Kobe are great second options, but that's it.

Playoff series' with the Mavs are historically nuts tbh. As long as they pull it out, I'm happy. Portland (or Houston if they get that far) will be tough, but they don't have RC, they're nearly as bad as Dallas on D (without vets to step up), and their bench is shittier than the Mavs by a decent margin.

you continue to buy that shit he won in 07 against a rookie pg talent level of nbdl scrub boobie gibson?

if he was so good why is he always gettin shit on by the opponenet pg and gettin bailed out all the time by the backup pg in important meaningful games?

enrique has never been in a position where he actually willed this team to anything worth mentioning, u can sugarcoat all the shit you want, truth is he is nothing more than a overglorified 20ppg scoring pg on a winning team, replace him with any starting pg of the league and they too will be marketed as top5 pg of the leagu due to playin on a winning team like the spurs...

Keep in mind Portland is extremely similar to the Mavs, only with an average coach, no vets (:lol Mo Williams), and a worse bench. Lillard and LA will be tough, but with how Splitter has handled Dirk and the fact some of our bench players have had career games against Portland (Mills and Beli) I think they'll have a good chance.

not sure who gets more :downspin: on this site, Ginobili or Parker. Either way, both need to be called out when they fuck up. I'll give Ginobili this, even when he's choking and losing shit, I never get the feeling he's giving up out there, or that he doesn't try to make up for it somewhere else. Not only that but their roles/styles aren't that similar. Stevenson was a defensive player and a spot up shooter, Carter is a playmaker/shooter off the bench. Terry was a jumpshooter, Ellis is a slasher. Kidd was a great defensive PG, Calderon isn't.

Lot of issues with that guy. Same with Rapist, though Rapist is far more toxic but a better scorer. I think both Parker and Kobe are great second options, but that's it.

Calling Parker a great second option is a bit of stretch. He was always most useful as a third option(2005, 2007). Give him any more shots and he becomes toxic for the team with all those wasted possessions(2004, 2013 Finals)

Well the Spurs will probably win the series now. But Dallas could take another game down there. Feel pretty good about next year, they need to upgrade the D to really have a shot at contending for another title. This team offensive efficiency-wise is better than the 2011 team. But they give up almost 4 more ppg than the 2011 team did.

Spurs are going to win this series but Mavs have really impressed me and hopefully taught the Spurs a lesson about underestimating your opponent tbh. This is why going 0-4 to OKC or Houston doesn't mean shit in the playoffs. The only thing I'm dumbfounded about is Pop's refusal to make adjustments. Does he really think none are needed? Or is he sure his team can win before he needs to pull out the tricks in the later round? Or is he just a massively overrated senile drunk ass motherfucker?

Carlisle saying Pop is the coach of the century, then proceed to out-coach him. Pure self-marketing genius.

I am not sure if the Spurs will win the series, I originally called Spurs in 5, with the lone win due to Nowitzki, but Nowitzki really hasn't been on fire lately, and the Mavs have found the blue print to beat the Spurs. Stay with the shooters, go around screens on them, never double the big 3 because they are not worth doubling at this point in their careers, put a long athletic defender on Parker, and you pretty much stops the Spurs from doing what they want to do.

Carlisle putting in a system specifically targeting the Spurs weaknesses and Pop having no apparent answers for it is being out-coached.

Also, getting your personnel to playing up to par (to their abilities) is the job of a head coach.

This year is interesting because every single team has at least one major weakness that another team can exploit, and who really gets to the finals, and eventually wins out, all depends on matchups.

Originally, I thought the two teams that can really take out the Spurs rather easily are OKC (obviously), and Houston. The Heat would be slightly favoured. After seeing 1st round, I am thinking the Mavs and maybe the Blazers will also give the Spurs fit. I hope I am wrong.

I actually think the Blazers will be a bit easier than the Mavs should the Spurs get to the next round. We all underestimated Dallas due to regular season play, and by now we should all know the regular season means jack shit. Mavs have the coaching, veterans, and system that is playoff-tested to keep up with the Spurs; Blazers are athletic and young, but they lack the veteran savvy and coaching Dallas has (their system is also terrible for playoff basketball).

Agreed, Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the game right now, and the Blazers doesn't have the same level of discipline and veteran savvy.

On the other hand though, the Blazers are more athletic, and does have all the tools that can defend the Spurs (Batum on Parker, Lillard on Green, Lopez on Duncan, Aldridge to roam), then Aldridge will give the Spurs fits in the low blocks/mid range, Lillard can penetrate at will (but you can bait him into dumb shots).

Also, Carlisle already set the blueprint, the other teams only have to follow it. Let's hope the other teams are not as disciplined as the Mavs.

Portland isn't disciplined at all, and some of those matchups actually favor the Spurs, such as Lopez on Duncan (Dalembert has given Tim trouble in the past, so his struggles this series aren't that much of a surprise) and Leonard on Mathews. The Spurs' bench should also feast on Portland's.

nah, but I called it when it happened... that ankle is going to be the cop-out of a shitty game... ofcourse...

That's a poor argument imo. When your team's up big and has momentum, someone gets hurt, then the offense implodes, of course people are going to point to that. It isn't a cop out, its common sense since that was a major turning point.

Like if someone gets hit by a car then dies a month later from internal injuries, it isn't a cop out to say that's why he died instead of "just admitting he was weak" or some shit. :lol

That's basically all you're doing right now. You can't just claim the common sense take is a cop out to cheaply further your stance that the team or specific player just sucks even when healthy (which is obviously false).

agreed. I never felt good about game 1 but they miraculously won. Games 2 and 3 I felt the Spurs did not deserve to win and they didn't. Yesterday's game was the first that started to restore some of my faith in Pop and the team. Parker's disappearance sucks but not unexpected. Least Pop recognized it enough to put more confidence in Patty. The team seemed to adjust as well and build confidence from there.
