They got him the whole entire series. He shot only 37 percent what killed them was the offensive rebounds.

When OKC has WB/KD making shots, they can keep up, but I just don't see a clear path for them to win. They have to hit tough shots at a high rate. They have no go-to lineup that GS can't answer. GS won't miss looks like SA did. They can't dominate rebounds nor FT (consistently). Their bench isn't as good as GS.

They can have spurts and in games where WB/KD are hot, they will be in it, but I don't see anything sustainable that OKC can do to beat GS.

Yeah, at least Thunder can score the ball..they definitely have better ISOers than we do while their rebounding will mitigate a bit the bad nature of their shots..Spurs have zero advantages other than Kawhi/DG perimeter D maybe slowing down Curry/Klay but will get killed in other areas.

Can Kawhi ever score like Klay does? I mean in a take-over-games kind of way.

Klay is getting a bunch of transition baskets & has a WIDE open lane when he puts the ball on the floor. Last I checked, Kawhi was scoring at will against the Grizz even when Tony Allen was on him b/c the Spurs were getting transition buckets & the paint wasn't clogged.

It was as improbable as it was incredible, but Russ throws up a 19 point quarter to bring OKC back. Incredible. He shots 37% against the Spurs in the playoffs and I think sub 40% against GS in the regular season, but here he is.

Yes it is. Why? OKC shoots FT and CONTROLS THE PACE. If you are a jump shooting team, this is your kryptonite, because to be a good jumpshooting team you have to get into a rhythm. If you are consistently stopping and starting you can't get into the flow. Jumpshooting teams are fluid. What kept the Thunder in the game are timeouts (pop) and continuing to trade trips to the line for trying to hit a jumper.

Yeah, but they would also be relatively easy to stop if Westbrook plays a deferring role. Hes the guy that has been getting his teamates going.

Problem with WB, he has games where he shoots so bad so the overall numbera sucks, but on the game they have won overall, Imo, hes been the better and more impactful offensive player.

Warriors looking like the fourth quarter Spurs against these guys. What's up with that?

OKC's size is ridiculous. I have said it a few times before the way they utilize Adams,Kanter,Ibaka to clean up the boards is similar to the way the Lakers used Odom/Bynum/Gasol to clean up the boards. They get so many second chance points from those guys.

Arcadian

That 2011-12 team didn't peak too early, they just ran into an opponent of nearly the same caliber where Pop/Parker choked. Thus year's team was peaking at near the right time but Pop fucked it up by resting players and going into mad scientist mode when he had no rhyme of reason to.

Maybe it was 2010-11, but it's happened the Spurs a few times over the years.

Don't care who wins this series. I don't like both teams so I'm just enjoying this series being a neutral fan. It's win-win for me regardless of who wins this series.
