Jim Crow Joe is the male version of Shillary Clinton in that respect, no real convictions or ideals, just a career politician who’s platform is based off how the winds are blowing and what his corporate sponsors want.
The fact he’s a Delaware politician should have even been more of a red flag.
Yup. Reck did tell me he's more likeable than Shillary tho
So your average politician then.
Not really. I mean, at least your average conservative politician pretends to have conviction and ideals.
Yup. Reck did tell me he's more likeable than Shillary tho
Odd at first I read this as more reliable than Hillary. :lol
I mean, is he not? I was going by polling data. Any particular issue you may have with that, then you should aim it at them, not me.
I recall you yourself posted an article where he was getting the lion share of the "hater votes." C'mon El.

I can't say it enough: He has truly emerged as the right candidate for Democrats. He has broad appeal with people of all colors and his rhetoric is on-point even if he makes some silly gaffes from time to time (which don't ultimately matter).
Tactically speaking, I think think he does need a women of color on the ticket. Kamala Harris, Catherine Cortez-Masto or Val Demings are probably high on his list.

Regardless, I am saying Trump's speech speaks to the "average person". And I don't doubt she got the questions. I'm sure she had a think tank group give her the best answers, as well.
This is why you pick Joe Biden...
because he makes it easy for Republicans to support him such as the "Republican Voters Against Trump" group.

well now you're asking how likely it is to succeed, which is a different question.
Just do not get how you can undermine it. Do these weird ass freaks who live and die by his every word not exist?
They exist but they are not 100% of his voters.
Last I checked, he was pollingover %90 with registered republicans
But the number of people who even identify as republicans continues to drop suggesting there are votes up for grabs.

I'm just saying how do you undermine it? Like, act like it does not exist? in 2016, there were so many nevertrump republican politicians. What happened? The ones who wanted to get reelected fell in line. They know their reelection hopes are tied to people who worship this weird ass guy who can go into full detail while describing male features on a male, or even objects.

That comment got twisted. She didn't say all republicans were deplorable. She didn't even say all his supporters were deplorables. She said half of them were which was giving them too much credit.
Not like Trump's supporters were ever thinking about voting for her in the first place.

Exactly, but when you use a term like she did, you're going to rile up every rube out there.
If you are fishing for republican voters, you are going to lose. It's not going to happen, because they are worried about losing their jobs, or that Mexican's are going to take their jobs. IMO, it's a dumb strategy

There are multiple ways to undermine it.
For example, as the number of republicans declines, you try to sway those that leave the party to vote for the democratic side (of the top of the ticket) by suggesting there is a dem candidate with high character and moderate positions so that they are not afraid to vote democrat.

I already don't like the policies of the GOP. Every thing from the farce that is trickle down economics to the "Greatest Country in the World" blind patriotism to indulgent military spending they're always in favor of to their reluctance to fund social programs because poor people just need to "pull themselves up by their bootstraps" to their phony Christianity to their punishment model for ""rehabilitating" criminals to their gun fetishism. Modern American conservatism is a fuckin' blight and I want nothing more than to see its extinction. So already, I dislike Trump just for being a modern day Republican.
Now why do I dislike Trump the man? Like you, I'm also a patron of the shithole known as 4chan. In Trump's run up to becoming the Republican nominees, I saw what kind of flies his shit was attracting. I'm obviously talking about alt-right white nationalists. And Trump was fully aware of this white grievance tactic since Bannon, Stephen Miller, and Gorka were advisors. MAGA is a total dog-whistle, and to say otherwise is to be an denial. It was crafted to incense voters who despised Obama for simply being black and for voters who believe brown people are gaining too much cultural and political power in mainstream America.
:madrun: B-B-But Murica wasn't great under Obama! :madrun:
After the shitstorm that was the Bush administration, which was responsible for the financial crisis, Obama got unemployment back down to pre-recession levels, the DOW was setting records, he crafted the ACA, which ironically is used by many of Trump's rural base (call it the ACA, and they love it. Call it Obamacare and they "Trump out") that got millions more on insurance, violent crime was at all time lows, and Obama effectively protected our borders without having to advertise it with divisive dog-whistle rhetoric.
Now I have no love for Obama due to his love for drone strikes, but under Obama, the country was on a healthy trajectory, which is why MAGA was a bullshit slogan, proving it is indeed a dog-whistle.
I can't stand egocentric braggarts. Humility goes a long with me, and Trump is one of the most arrogant politicians the world has ever known, and his arrogance is unjustified because Daddy basically handed him everything. In addition to this, I can't stand nepotism, and Trump has taken that to new level by installing Jared and Ivanka, who are complete morons, as advisors.
"Tough on China." One thing I hope Trump would follow through on. Nope. First meeting over there, his dipshit daughter was cutting million dollar trademark deals (which to me, is basically a bribe), and Trump's "toughness on China" came in the form of toothless tariffs that only hurt farmers and small businesses relying on steel. No tariffs at all on big tech corporations. He didn't revive manufacturing at all in the US.
He never released his tax returns as all presidents have before him. Since the president works for us, I demand the utmost transparency to see if there's any potential conflicts of interest.
Lastly, the lies. Holy fuckin' shit the lies. Sure, all politicians lie, but Trump has taking straight out lying to an absurd level. No google allowed, but he's fact checked all the time and his tally is much higher than any other president. You'll dismiss this as fake news, of course. And just the today, the fucker was telling us that the US has the lowest Covid mortality in the world, which is so blatantly false, I'm sure how anyone could believe it, but I'm sure his idiot MAGAT base did.

First paragraph doesn't really have anything to do with Trump until the last sentence. Trump is a businessman using the Republican Party as a platform, but he's a far cry from establishment Repugs and RINOs.
Second paragraph: I've never been to 4chan, but if that's what tickles you then go for it. Seems like a bunch of trolling going on there imo. Trump has denounced white nationalism on more than one occasion, so that's easily debunked. MAGA means MAGA, but I can see why you are looking to play the racist card. This is typical Liberal identity politics (ad hominem)
(a bunch of blather about Bush and Obama) moving on...
You don't like Trump's bravado. Fair enough and typical of a beta male.
Trump has been incredibly tough on China...so much so that they commited unprecedented biological warfare.
Trump released his tax returns and Rachel Maddow had a big nothingburger about it. Easily researchable...(ez debunk)
You call Trump a liar even though he's delivered on pretty much every campaign policy. "Promises made, promises kept"
Why do I like Trump?
He's not an establishment piece of shit. A billionaire who gave up his lavish lifestyle to serve his country.
A patriot.
God bless.

So there you go. Now I ask why do you like Trump? I expect the answer to be:
"He's owns the Libs."
cant think of any other president who employs remotely the same amount of fascistic rhetoric.

First paragraph doesn't really have anything to do with Trump until the last sentence. Trump is a businessman using the Republican Party as a platform, but he's a far cry from establishment Repugs and RINOs.
:lmao He's a total establishment repug. Muh tax cuts, muh deregulation, muh global warming is a hoax, muh military, muh Murrica is the greatest cuntry in the world.
I love Nazis. You see how easy it is for people to say things they don't believe. Proof is in the actions, and Bannon, Miller, and Gorka being on his team illustrates his sympathy for white nationalism.
(a bunch of blather about Bush and Obama) moving on...
Yeah, a "bunch of blather" because it shows all the shit Trump takes credit for was already on a steep downward trajectory anyway.
You don't like Trump's bravado. Fair enough and typical of a beta male.
So arrogance and conceit good now? Here's a verse for you, buddy.
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
And I find it funny you position me as a beta to Trump's "alpha" when the "alpha male" you revere claimed he had bone spurs to dodge the draft. :lol
Trump has been incredibly tough on China...so much so that they commited unprecedented biological warfare.
Yeah, a couple of toothless tariffs on non-tech companies is really getting tough on China. Show me the Made in Murrica 4K tvs and smartphones. I'll wait (forever).
Trump released his tax returns and Rachel Maddow had a big nothingburger about it. Easily researchable...(ez debunk)
Oh, you mean the tax return from fuckin' 2005. :lol
You call Trump a liar even though he's delivered on pretty much every campaign policy. "Promises made, promises kept"
Where's that second to none infrastructure he promised? Where's that "terrific healthcare plan" plan he promised? Why is the opioid crisis still killing more people than ever? Here's a quick scorecard.

^Fake news, right?
And don't give me shit about Dem obstruction. He had a super majority for 2 years. He just kept his promises on low hanging fruit conservatard issues, like tax cuts, deregulation, Jebus judges, and waging a war on climate change solutions (pulling us out the Paris Accord).
He's not an establishment piece of shit. A billionaire who gave up his lavish lifestyle to serve his country.
That's exactly what he is. Establishment. He's a bargain basement republican with a big mouth and dumbass base that views him as their king.

The only paletable solution is ensuring their vote is more equally valued as compared to mainstream Americans, instead of having inflated value. Passing the Voting Rights Act, DC and Puerto Rico statehood, campaign finance reform, plus the overhaul or outright abolishment of the Electoral College should do it. They can continue to whine and lie on the interwebs all they want as far as I care. As long as they can never put someone this toxic in the White House again. SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korea said on Monday it was not interested in meaningless talks with the United States just so President Donald Trump had something to boast about and demanded an end to what it called a policy of hostility if the United States wanted dialogue.
Kim Kye Gwan, in a statement on North Korea’s official KCNA news agency, said he had seen Trump’s tweet but little had improved despite three meetings between the two leaders since June last year.
“We are no longer interested in such talks that bring nothing to us,” he said.

Facts are view-from-nowhere conclusions discovered through the empirical process, while truths are subjective phenomenon discovered through the experiential process. When we both look at a painting, the "facts" are it was painted by this artist at this certain date using this process, while the "truth" is I might find it beautiful while you don't. Using facts as the basis of ontology can lead to terrible consequences because it engenders the naturalistic fallacy, which is deriving an "ought" from an "is." In simple terms, this conflates fact with value, i.e. because it's a fact of nature that strong animals conquer weak animals, we should therefore model human societies on this "fact" because it's "natural" and thus inherently "good."
Humans, at least most of us, don't think modeling human society on the laws of the jungle would be very wise, so at this point we are choosing "truth" over "facts."
Now I do I think Biden was thinking in those philosophical terms when he said that? No :lol. It was probably a verbal slip up, because in the prior sentence (which you conveniently omitted), he said: "We choose science over fiction."

A fact is not subjective, it simply is.

Such a good goy.
It's a lot more nuanced than that.
A fact is a reality that cannot be logically disputed or rejected. If I say "fire is hot," I don't care how great your reasoning skills are, if you touch fire your skin will burn (and don't give me that "but people can walk on hot coals!" bull. There's a difference between the transfer of heat through conduction and training one's body to deal with the agonizing pain of said conduction). Now when I say this, I am not speaking a truth, I am speaking a fact. If you say "fire is not hot," you are not lying, you are incorrect. Facts are concrete realities that no amount of reasoning will change. When one acknowledges a fact, they are doing just that. Facts are not discovered, facts are not created, facts are simply acknowledged.
A truth on the other hand, is almost the opposite. Truths are those things that are not simply acknowledged, but must be discovered, or created.

Why do you think that?
Former Vice President Joe Biden would enact a number of policies that would raise taxes, including individual income taxes and payroll taxes, on high-income individuals with income above $400,000.
Biden’s plan would raise tax revenue by $3.8 trillion over the next decade on a conventional basis. When accounting for macroeconomic feedback effects, the plan would collect about $3.2 trillion over the next decade.
According to the Tax Foundation’s General Equilibrium Model, the Biden tax plan would reduce GDP by 1.51 percent over the long term.
On a conventional basis, the Biden tax plan would lead to 7.8 percent less after-tax income for the top 1 percent of taxpayers, 1.1 percent lower after-tax income for the top 5 percent, and around 0.6 percent less after-tax income for other income quintiles.
Increases the corporate income tax rate from 21 percent to 28 percent.[3]
Creates a minimum tax on corporations with book profits of $100 million or higher.
The minimum tax is structured as an alternative minimum tax—corporations will pay the greater of their regular corporate income tax or the 15 percent minimum tax while still allowing for net operating loss (NOL) and foreign tax credits.[4]
Doubles the tax rate on Global Intangible Low Tax Income (GILTI) earned by foreign subsidiaries of US firms from 10.5 percent to 21 percent.
Establishes a Manufacturing Communities Tax Credit to reduce the tax liability of businesses that experience workforce layoffs or a major government institution closure; expands the New Markets Tax Credit and makes it permanent; offers tax credits to small business for adopting workplace retirement savings plans; expands several renewable-energy-related tax credits and deductions and ends subsidies for fossil fuels.

They have nearly identical economic plans
I was anti-Hillary but I have few issues with Biden. As long as he isn't playing this R-word card like above.
the distinction between run of the mill liberals and conservatives in the US as it relates to economic policy has always been overblown, usually a few percentage differences of marginal tax rates, and that's about it. doesnt make trump's tax cuts any less stupid, but thats the reality. US republicans and democrats are both neoliberal, except for the far left like the Bernie camp
i wouldnt call them identical, but biden is probably about as close to trump as he is to sanders, economically

When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people … But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we’re getting … They’re sending us not the right people.
Okay, what can we conclude from this. The migrants coming from Mexico are majority murderers and rapists, while some good people might be in the mix. Thus, he's generalizing the migrant class as being murderers and rapists overall. And there's nothing in that quote that specifies MS13.

Here's some simple litmus questions to test whether Trump's supporters endorse his immigration policy out of "protecting our borders" or because of latent racism and white nationalism.
- Do you agree with the Lazarus poem on the Statue of Liberty?
- Do you agree with the Ellis Island immigration model we had in the early 20th century that saw as many as 1 million immigrants processed in a year. If so why? If not why?
- If you do agree with the Ellis Island Immigration model during that time period, do you agree that it should be applied today? If so why? If not why?

He said the majority of Latino migrants "are bad hombres." This is a blatant falsehood and thus I interpret it as racist. The majority of migrants aren't bad hombres. And they don't drive up crime rates.

Other countries haven't just flattened the curve, they have strongly mitigated too. Flattening the curve was only expanding infections so they didn't all happen at once, not nearly stopping infections like you see in places such as New Zealand, Taiwan, and South Korea or slowing them to a crawl like you see in a lot of Europe right now. If we truly end up having a working vaccine by the end of the year the US is going to look so fucking bad for letting infections blow up here when they have been controlled elsewhere. Though I guess the jury is still out whether Europe can maintain their success until the end of the year and if there is no vaccine any time soon they'll eventually end up like us anyways.

Outside of Kamala Harris who isn’t a good VP candidate for other reasons, there aren’t any black female candidates out there with remotely enough experience. Mid was laying it on thick about how upright and proper the dems are, but in reality they are right there with the republicans, trying to get into power so they can move the money train tracks over to their friends instead of Trump's friends. Surely you don't believe these faggots are morally driven.
obviously both dems and republicans want political power, thats the purpose of the existence of a political party.
i dont think dems would run anybody as absurdly incompetent and unqualified as trump.
before you get into "how can he be incompetent if he won" i'm talking about competence for the role of the presidency, not competence in grifting the public to get him there
My feeling is that getting rid of Trump, Kuckner, and that whole clan of grifters and incompetents should energize us enough. I get what you're saying, with how devoted Trump's base is (and his likelihood to cheat) the Dems need to maximize their odds with optimal moves, but damn, if Trump's existence doesn't motivate all of us to crawl over broken glass to cast a vote against him, then I guess we collectively get what we deserve.
Trump is what you deserve for running Hillary.

i can buy that hillary was a poor candidate that enabled republicans to win the election. that doesnt mean republicans were forced to nominate a loon like trump in the first place
its amazing that there are people who voted for trump twice (once in the primary, once in the general) and then say YOU ARE WHY TRUMP WON. no... the person who voted for him twice is more responsible for the result

Not dem politicians necessarily, but Dem/Liberal voters. I see it in political conversations all over. Dems will comb through a candidate's voting history, examine his cabinet picks in fine detail, and pick up apart every piece of their platform. Republicans, on the other hand, tend not to do this. If their candidate says he ain't taking the guns, ain't raising taxes, and loves Jeebus and Murrica, that's good enough for them. Also, republicans have become motivated by simply "owning the libs." Meanwhile, Dem/Lib voters handwring over every fine detail of everything, and it costs them elections.

Don't be obtuse, there's no jury here to sway.
The left reacts to what they perceive to be the pulse of their voter base, which the noisy ones are far left, extreme left.. so the dems in Washington forget that they have/had a huge swath of voters that aren't LGBTQ, they may even be white, oh the horror! So the dems play identity politics, "we want a black woman", 1st woman, 1st black woman.. but what about 1st queer black woman? What about 1st trans queer black woman? Yeah, the more you can heap that identity shit on, the more noise the noisy left extremists make on social media, and the more drowned out are the left of center dems who probably comprise most of the votes.

The average American doesn’t even know who Jared Kushner is, the idea that getting rid of him will energize enough people is fantasy. Trump got elected 4 years ago because his opponent ran on the platform “I might suck, but at least I’m not Trump!” picking Susan Rice as VP is more or less double downing on that platform.

Not because they are perfectionists. It's because they no longer know who their voter base is. They instead tune in to social media where the squeaky wheels get the grease.

Hillary is basically what I'm talking about when it comes to the standards of the Liberal base. "Shillary!" "The evil Democrat machine conspired against Bernie!" "Closet Neo-Con!" The Liberal base found any and every reason not to vote for Hillary when the other side was offering a literal reality TV star as their nomination. "Standards" need to go out the window in that situation.

You say all that as if it's not true. Lampooning a fact doesn't make it less of a fact. Hillary should have stomped Trump's ass but the amount of corruption that bitch oozes cannot be airbrushed out or CGI'ed away. The "her turn" mantra and status quo "Obama 2.0, old white bitch on TV rolling her big eyes" scenario turned a lot of people off. Biden could have won had he run. Him not striking while the iron was hot makes no sense if he had aspirations.
My issue with her isn’t “baggage”, it’s that she’s not only a Fox News boogeyman but is vanilla and offers nothing unique. She’s all downside and no upside. If you’re going to pick a Fox News boogeyman as your VP pick one who actually energizes voters and gets people excited.
Fox would make just about anyone picked for VP a boogeyman though.
I mean not too long ago Tucker dedicated his entire monologue skullfucking Duckworth just because she was being looked at for VP.
Susan Rice is shit but it's not like using Benghazi will have any effect when Trump has 150k dead on his shoulders.

I’m not sure what you mean by “extreme left” or “far left” but that side of the party is pretty much ignored outside of the cheesedick LGBTQ/identity politics issues you mention. Ie most Dems favor single payer healthcare, yet the primary only had 1 candidate who did. On the issues that actually matter Democratic politicians are to the right of their base.
JMO, I don’t think the focus on identity politics is Democratic politicians reacting to the most noisy voter base, it’s so they can justify calling themselves Democrats while being bought and paid for by special interests. The Democrats who spend the most time focusing on gay marriage and transgender bathroom rights are usually the ones getting money from Wall Street.

the democratic party absolutely does NOT cater to the far left. you dont get to joe biden by catering to the extreme left.
far left by american standards would be progressives/socdems. that is not where the democrat party is looking. talking about susan rice, kamala harris, etc is NOT pandering to the far left. it's certainly identity politics when they basically predetermine that the running mate must be a women and should mostly certainly be a female POC. i dont think that is the same as "far left"

I think we've agreed on this before. Yes, the "left" exists on much wider spectrum than the right, and this fact allows the right to mobilize their base better. Again, all a right politician has to say is, "guns, low taxes, keep out the browns," and the rightwing base will turn out in droves. Meanwhile, if a leftwing politician says, "higher taxes on the rich, universal healthcare, free college," you'd still have a significant part of the liberal voting base examining their position on LGBTQ issues, climate change, racism, foreign policy and various "social justice" issues, and if said politician has a spotty voting record in that area, that person might stay home. Basic point is rightwing politicians can rally their base around fewer issues.

Right , so pick a boogeyman like Duckworth who has energy and excites voters, not a career long bureaucrat who’s never run a campaign in her life. Susan Rice is more or less the most plain vanilla black female you can find. She’s also never held an elected position iirc, the whole point of a VP pick is someone who can help campaign.
The one thing I’ve always admitted Biden has going for him is that he doesn’t come across as the ultra-elitist egghead who’s half human half robot the way other recent Democratic nominees (Clinton, Kerry) did. Picking Susan Rice as VP erases a lot of that.

Where is mono getting that she's the front runner? She may have been on the list but is she really?
I'm seeing a lot of Karen Bass talk for some reason. Another Obama retainer.
These picks are so lame and vanilla.

It’s also just gone on way too long now, to the point where it’s obvious the Biden campaign is now tripping over its dick trying to find a female minority VP who isn’t severely flawed or inexperienced because Biden made a reckless promise to pick a female VP without thinking about it.
The Karen Bass consideration is another :lol, the fact whoever the fuck Karen Bass is might get selected over someone like Elizabeth Warren who’s got widespread name recognition and would help unite the party makes it really easy for Fox News to scare white people into thinking they’ll lose their job to less qualified minorities in a Biden presidency.
Regarding where mono is getting that, I’m not sure and it might be hyperbole.

I didn't say they catered to them. I said they react to them. The noise from the freak show taints the message that dem leaders used to preach. Joe Biden got the nod because the voter base elected him. It's not like the dem leaders picked him. The fact that Joe is the candidate should send a message to the more liberal of the left, but it only tells them that the left isn't left enough, that people like AOC and that muslim whore are the future of the party.

what message? that people who have farther left leaning views should change their positions on issues because a more moderate candidate won? no, that's not quite how it works.

:lmao Jesus Christ I just looked up this Karen Bass bitch, she’s a house rep from California. If you’re going to pick a grossly under qualified VP just because she checks the black female box, can it at least be from a state that’s going to decide the election? It’s as if they’re trying to scare as many suburban white women as possible to vote for Trump.
