I want to meet the geniuses who think he’s doing great with the economy. It’s about the only thing he leads Biden by. Over 10 points.

How is that possible? The morons have taken over this country.

It’s the same messaging issue Democrats have tripped over their on for decades. I still say the big problem is that Republicans talk about the economy a lot more than Democrats do.

It was an eye opener that Mike Bloomer was the only speaker at the convention to attack DJT for saying the economy was great before COVID.

J.C. Penney; 70K jobs now at risk as bankruptcy could turn into liquidation

Negotiations to sell J.C. Penney to one of the largest mall owners in the country or other investors have stalled, placing the retailer on the edge of a potential liquidation of the entire chain.

J.C. Penney has been on life support for the last 5+ years, all COVID-19 did was accelerate its demise. It's unfortunate because unlike jobs at American Airlines that will come back when the economy rebounds, most of those jobs at JC Penney aren't ever coming back.

It'll probably mean more business for Amazon, Macys and Dillards though. But yes, Penney was on its way to becoming like SEARS, a famous brand that collapsed.

They should have folded once they beat Sears right out of existence. Time is over for these huge cosmetic stores.

Malls are also starting to get kind of obsolete.

Maybe, but Amazon is more efficient though. It doesn’t need to employ as many people to sell the same amount of merchandise as JCP does.

Yes, It'll almost certainly be a net loss of jobs for the US economy regardless.

Sears was destroyed by a predatory Capitalist, as was Toy R Us, and many companies destroyed by predatory Capitalists.

Today's malls will eventually become Amazon fulfillment centers, tbh.

I've looked into this as a potential investment thesis, and it's less feasible than you'd think. Malls in general are pretty ing useless in terms of being repurposed. A lot of Murican malls are just going to get flattened
