I'm a libertarian in terms of that I think women should be allowed to work and receive equal pay for equal le and performance. I'm against mandatory paid maternity leave if equal paternity leave also isn't offered. I think women should have top-freedom publicly just as men do. I don't think women should be shamed for how many sex partners they've had compared to men.

I always believed gay marriage was OK as long as it was in name only and that they shouldn't be allowed equal benefit privileges in terms of taxes i.e. married filing jointly breaks, and health insurance breaks from that. That should be man and woman only. But I'm not against gays living their lives. I don't really want to associate or be their friend, but it's their life, so live and let live. Same for abortion.

As for woman's suffrage... they should receive half a vote IMO. Because they are not the providers of the family in the traditional sense. They are not equal to men.

Your beliefs aren't grounded in pragmatism though. There's absolutely zero reason that A) married couples should get any exclusive benefits and B) Gays should not have every benefit straight couples have. It should not be distinguished that a couple is Gay or straight, only that they are married and even then I'd be OK with doing away with marriage altogether.

Marriage does typically require some kind of intellectual common ground. I couldn't commit the rest of my life to someone who thinks Crazy Reality TV Grandpa should be the Commander in Chief.

And that wouldn't be who I married in the first place, so it would require a major personality change (or mental collapse) for her to become one.
