you don't need to write ing code like a nerd to be a data scientist. SAS Enterprise Miner, IBM SPSS Statistics, Hawkes Systems, Alteryx, and other similar tools exist. Heck, even a TI-84 calculator includes support for regression analysis if you know how to work it.

It's not the counters' fault. It's the government's fault for not sufficiently resourcing elections - they should be throwing as many bodies at vote counting as needed to avoid taking several days to count ballots.
