Mcclownlifes epic ups had a nationwide repercussion. NJ is just a couple hundred miles from VA. That plus that Cancerelli candidate seems kinda moderate like younkin.
One difference is that the NJ results are largely turnout driven; the Dems didn't spend a lot of money there and then had Obama fly there at the last minute once they realized they were in trouble.
In VA the Dems spent $50+ million, had a huge GOTV effort and lost despite huge turnout across the board. IOW, NJ is a close race because of Dems not showing up, while Youngkin won VA because he crushed McBoomer with never-Trump moderates.
Apparently they came to an agreement on Medicare negotiating drug prices...Sinema's office made an announcement that she's OK with it being added back in.
They nixed the price cap on insulin though which is infuriating.

Medicare negotiating drug prices is the single most important thing that needs to be passed because it's wildly popular, an issue that's easy to understand, something that would greatly make seniors' lives better, and it's something they can easily point to as a reason to elect Democrats when not a single Republican in the senate will vote for it.

what I think happened was that Grassley was offering his own plan on prescription drug pricing and Sinema realized that it was going to happen either way so it’s better if the Democrats can take all the credit for it.
Sinema is complete toast in a primary in 2024 though, the problem is she's not sane enough to realize is. The Arizona Democratic Party is already lining up against her and the Primary Sinema PAC is going to have a huge warchest ready for Gallego to deploy when he announces in 2023.

She's just ing old as . I met her ~13 years ago (long story why) and in normal conversations she's actually articulate and sharp, for whatever reason her brain melts when she has to address the general public or the media.

It's not completely made up, it's just massively blown out of proportion. There are schools (largely in very blue areas) teaching kids really weird about how being born white makes you inherently racist.
It also wouldn't be nearly this successful without candidates like McAuliffe constantly putting their foot in their mouth on education + calling for more "diverse" teachers. Democrats really need to just drop the racial obsession. I was hoping we learned our lesson after 2016 but somehow Dem politicians have gotten even worse at making everything about race.
