He immediately backtracked that because he misspoke. He’s not charging teams. It’s more like he’s charging for media appearances..
Scoot is just dumb. Anyone with a brain could see he was overrated.
Dylan stats out better than Cade, for what it's worth. Ben Simmons at LSU was already saying he didn't like playing basketball. Deandre Ayton, just no.
Yeah, for me Scoot's impact stats not improving at all between years 1 and 2 in the G league were a huge red flag. If you're not getting acclimated and improving by leaps and bounds from age 17 to 18 or 18 to 19, that's a big issue.
His agent was asking for money to do interviews last year wasn't he?
Hear a lot of bad stories from that group. Feel like the agent is trying to make a name for himself over everything.
I never understood why did most reports rate Scoot as an S tier athlete, often comparing him to Westbrook. That's what gave him the most hype.
He obviously didn't have elite scoring or playmaking potential, but the projections about his athleticism were straight up wrong.
Made a lot of people think he's the next Westbrook. Worst of all, he doesn't even have the size, he's like 6'1.
I bet if you dig enough the agent probably shills Solana rug coins too.
Nico's gonna shock the world with this one.

Anecdotal evidence, gets the casuals all the time. They saw him score a few times against Wemby in an exhibition game and decided he was the next big thing, and no larger sample sizes or nerdy negative win share stats were gonna stop them!
It's more like the G league is possibly the WORST place to evaluate talent.
Someone laughed at me when I said I wouldn’t draft Bailey at 14.
Do players ever try to work language into their rookie contracts that forbid G league assignment? Just trying to imagine how a G League assignemnt for Bailey might play out.
Thanks! This roughly matches up with my impression of Dylan's relative ranking (I'd have him ahead of Scoot, but I'd had Paolo ahead of him). Have heard lots of chatter that he's the 3rd best prospect since 2020, but I don't agree with that. I'd have Cade, Chet and Paolo ahead of him.
I think I'd have Flagg behind Zion here personally. Sam was definitely too high on Scoot, but kind of just goes to show there are no "sure things". I don't think Sam's evaluation of Simmons, Fultz or Ayton were outliers by any means (obviously, since all three guys went #1 in their respective drafts). Probably a sign that while we should all be excited about Dylan, we should maybe pump the breaks on "his floor is a multiple time all star" kind of talk.
I like Vecenie's podcast and his analysis, but then I see this top 20 list and wonder about his insight. Suggs at 15, five spots above Paolo? Regardless, good to see Harper somewhere on there, I suppose.
I am pretty sure Brooklyn will take him at number 8. Maybe Ace (with the Rutgers connection) also wants to go there if he's tanking his value on purpose (Brooklyn could have made him a promise, and also there is a clear path for him there to take lots of shots).
Ace Bailey probably won't even stay in the league for his entire 4-year rookie contract tbh
I can't wait for the meltdowns when he airballs midrange shots. Happened a bunch of times in college, but of course nobody watched those tapes.
Spurs work out Fears?
in what scenario could he become an option? I have a had time to imagine this. If he fell to 14? (0.1% chance this happens). and they would‘t trade up to get him, if they already got Harper. they trade #2 and end up with a pick in the 5-8 range? but if so, why don‘t they work out other player in that range, like Tre, Kon, Jakucionis?
I called it with the character issues way earlier in this thread tbh
Why do I feel this guy will be the pick at 14?
Suns need a C.
