Here are stats for turnovers in the clutch adjusted to 48 minutes of game play:
Duncan - 4.9 turnovers
Ginobili - 4.5 turnovers
Parker - 1.6 turnovers
Parker is the turnover prone player in the clutch according to re ed Spursfans??????
And, as Pedro says, "I would like to see more of that..."
Late in the game when they key on him. Set someone else up. We all know he has the ability...noone is arguing that. And he has had success doing that this season late.
Why harp on this? This becomes a big deal in the playoffs. TIMVP can stack stats to the ceiling, but they won't make a difference in the playoffs. The best teams are always able to take away your #1 option. Unless your Michael Jordan's Bulls. We even had success against Kobe in Bruce's heyday.

Your 2nd option does not sit on the bench for a rookie.... WTH???? Logic has left the building!!!! Pop: Hey Tony, I'm gonna go w/ Hill on this one. You're struggling. Tony: Pop, I think you need some psychiatric help! Manu: Lay off the wine old man. Tim: I'm telling the Holts to can your ass ASAP!
The only reason the sit Parker at the end was it looked like he was about one sprint down the floor from puking. He looked very tired.
Apply for a job smart guy. Sit in on a practice and give Pop your keys to victory. He looks like he could use a good laugh.
Tony is our best option at PG. It would take an entire season of Tony being horrible in crunch time situations for Pop to pull him. Don't get me wrong, I love what GHill did tonight and think the sky is the limit for the kid. However, Tony is Godzilla.
Where did you get your stats?
Did Not The Spurs Beat The ing Lakers?
It will never end, you freaking people are unbelievable.
Some Spurs fans are insatiable. Just imagine what other fans would give to get a pg like Tony Parker playing for their team.
still waiting timvp
It's Tony and Chris Paul, PERIOD!!!!
Maybe you're right that TD, TP and Manu wouldn't let Pop do that, but I have a hunch that at the end of the day they would support whatever it takes to win - kinda of like Manu coming off the bench. I'm just saying that there are going to be times (extemely rare if they are) where a player can be more effective than another player and it's great that we have the depth to utilize that. Please understand that I'm not saying Hill should get more playing time in crucial moments than Parker.
I'm not doing your homework for you.
You can probably find some here. Go do some digging and let me know what find.
Thanks.
haha thought so. Are you gonna find my posts where I blame parker? That wouldn't be doing my homework for me.
No, I told you I gave up. You and other New Age Spurs Fans win. Parker sucks or doesn't suck. Up to you. If you want to claim yourself as the biggest TP fan on the forum, be my guest. You and your ilk won.
Congrats![]()
Cool. Nice parting dig.
I wish all the detractors would imagine how much Spurs fans would have killed to have Parker from 85 to 02.
Are you so naive that everything has to be black and white? Why must Parker suck or not suck?
Why can't we discuss his obvious issues without this whole damn thing blowing up?
A lot of folks were agreeing with the post until the "TP saviour-squad" rolled in the building.
He's a teamate, just like the rest of the guys. He's susceptible to criticism just like anyone else. And by no means does this thread bash TP.
Victory is yours.
Some of us thought we had the next MJ in Antonio Daniels.
Parker sucked in the 4th quarter tonight, anyone want to argue with that?
Not Victory.
But I will always be en led to my opinion. As are the other members of the board.
You may bang the "If we only had TP in '83" drum all you want, and all the "new age spurs fans" BS you care to, but there are those of us who adored the little general, and who cried when these guys lost to the blazers in the WCF, then again to the rockets...and still think that Parker needs to trust his teamates more when the other team keys on him and the game is on the line.
i see ur trying to call the haters out tonight
who let da haters out? hoo hoo hoo
