There's no telling. If it were contract related, RC wouldn't tell us. The Spurs keep that stuff in house.
SJax is 6-foot-8 with long arms and he releases at the highest possible point.
Beck ... not so much.

You have to take it into context as well. It's summer league. I don't think George was really thinking, or worrying about full-court pressure. You can also obviously tell no one else on the team were worrying either as they didn't come to ball or keep anyone in the backcourt for what, two more plays? As you said, Pop likes scoring PGs. Hill's work out there is learn the plays and be a shooting guard who can run the pick and roll -- even if it high as .
Actually, as a rookie, he's going to get dumb calls until he establishes himself. Agree though, those were some ridiculous calls. The woman ref has no clue.
Well I was close. He ended the night....
12 pts. 16 rebs. 2 blks. 1 out of three aint bad.

He's doing a bit.
Nope. There's plenty of 6-6 guys who can shoot who can't get NBA jobs, so a 5-11 guy is really going to have a tough time at it.
Props to PoundingTheRock for the interview and quickly getting it online. Impressive
Mahinmi is difficult to root against. Great at ude and you can tell he really wants to live up to the potential everyone knows he has. (Well, almost everyone.)
Again, very impressive game by Mahinmi and a definite stepping stone in his recovery.

If he does not play in any more SL games, then we can suspect contract neg. issues.
The fouls were divided 30-30 with lots of bad calls on both ends. I think Denver got the better of them but it probably was close. The problem is that these refs called 1.5 fouls/minute. That makes the game entirely unwatchable. Dear God do we need Simmons ref academy because if any of these refs are the future;

ian has already showed a great improvement just from game 1 to game 2, if he can keep his fouling down he has the potential to be a great player
Also, first post. Gotta love australian schools allowing me on forums
can this thread go for 50 pages
Agreed. We'll probably know one way or the other on thursday.
Mahinmi's reaction in his interview when asked "Was this your first career triple double?" was priceless!
So I couldn't really tell did Hill guard Lawson most of the night or did he guard the 2's also?
I'll add a post just to help it along.
Ahem,
Ian Mahinmi looked great out there. George Hill also looked great. Also, the refs were horrible.
Dunno. Wanna talk about Booner?
Just heard that Blair sitting is definitely contract related. Perhaps not 100% but it factored into him sitting.
