It absolutely is not. Haywood can do one thing Dampier has never been able to do - catch a freaking pass.
And finish from 2 feet, although Damp has been better about this so far this year.

Yes, Damp was able to finish A LOT over the rim this year, way more than all the years before, surprised me. Haywood hasnt great hands either, but i guess he could be better there with Kidd.

But Damp is also one of the best screen setters in the league and he has tons of playoff experience. So im not that fast in throwing out that Haywood is better than a 100% Damp.

Just stop posting. Your dumb ass probably hasn't seen Brendan Haywood play 5 games in your whole life. If he was traded to the Spurs you'd be talking about what a dominant big he is and how he fits perfectly with Duncan. GTFO.

He fumbles 1 of every 3 passes? What is this based off, do you sit there and keep track every time he fumbles a pass?

Haywood definitely doesn't have great hands, but they aren't bad at all either..average hands..

He's clearly an upgrade over Dampier though..I don't know how he will look in Dallas, but he was a great rebounder and one of the top 5 post defenders in the NBA in Washington(he's one of my favorite players, I really wanted the Spurs to get him)..

He doesn't have a post-up game, but he's definitely more reliable than Dampier offensively..he can at least finish strong inside on a consistent basis..

I think he'll fit though, he plays the same style as Dampier, so it shouldn't be difficult to integrate him..we'll see though..

They are looking pretty solid in their first game at the very least.

after seeing Butler in a post-game interview, its very clear that hes happy as to be in dallas. every time he started talking about dirk or kidd and how much easier they make the game for him, his eyes would light up and he couldnt stop grinning. seemed almost like he took some very slight jabs at agent zero, saying that the main way he would get points is by having to get the rebound, bring it up himself, and make a score, and that he doesnt have to do anything like that in dallas. ive heard that him and gilbert never really got along either.

No, hater spends all day counting the amount of times Haywood gets passed the ball and compares it to how many times he fumbles it. He then breaks it down into a simple fraction.

Good to hear about the Butler interview. Didn't catch it.

Goddamn right. He's not 2001-era Shaquille O'Neal, but he's the first complete center we've had since James ing Donaldson.

"On a team like this where the guys really understand basketball...where the true objective is just to win. Its just a great situation and I'm really loving it already and I'm only two games in." Butler with Skin after the game tonight.

    Butler trashing Arenas.

if the Spurs traded for Haywood you'd be talking about how he's a top 3 defensive big in the league. Homer ass Spur fans.
    yup yup.

rebounding and blocking goes well anywhere. when haywood went down after gilbert's surgery, washington had absolutely garbage defense in the paint. Haywood kept the numbers manageable for Washington. yes many posters here over-rate this guy, but his presence is going to be felt in the paint.

A younger guy who plays similarly with greater/equal skill will be better than an old, decrepit injury-riddled guy like dampier. Haywood is an upgrade.

I would be very happy if Haywood ended up in SA, but good for DAL. I think they've got a legitimate shot at taking out DEN, dunno about LAL yet.
