Rondo is a damn good PG. I think alot of it has to do with the team around him, but whatevs,as he is still very talented. Top 5-6 for sure. I use to think he wasn't even top 10 quality,but he certainly has proved me wrong. With that said, I would still take Cp3,D-Will,Rose,Westbrook or TP over him.

Rondo isn't good. He is hype and nothing else. It is simply the system making him look good. It has nothing to do with talent. Put him in another system and he is a scrub.

Rondo is easily one of the best PG's in the game, and is the best Celtic on the court on many nights. I love his confidence, too. He has a quiet arrogance and he's very compe ive.

I don't think Rondo is the best PG, but he's good enough and has won enough that I got no problem with him saying this out loud. If saying it makes him believe it and believing it makes him play better, more power to him.

Now I probably would get at least a little butthurt about it if Parker were anywhere close to being the best PG, but he's not so way-to-go Rondo.

I have no empiricals to bear out my reasoning twixt the two.

The '06 ring by Wade and Miami is a difficult one to stomach, but, I have to because it's my religion, so I don't & I won't qualify it, but, it does shade my judgment as to the worthyness of Wade. I need desperately to see Wade win another before I'll let him go in peace. I don't need that with Rondo. One was enough. His behavior in Game 7 when all was lost on that final three from the corner was astounding. Bryant there did not believe in Rondo and ran to Allen. It was a seminal moment.

Rondo will become lost in the game. Wade is still enamored watching it.

It's OK, once you commit to an argument you can back up and rephrase or admit a part of it was incorrect. Wade took an older, much less able Shaq and won it all. Shaq anchored the Lakers to the rings. If Wade ain't a winner, Kobe isn't either. Clearly neither is true.

Ah the "put him on another team" card being used here. Yes Rondo has flaws. Yes he isn't the best pg in the league. I bet Rondo would be successful anywhere else. The guy isn't a scrub and he isn't "all hype". He is a damn good pg. It helps that he doesn't have as much pressure, but the guy is talented. I can't believe you are denying that.

This is almost as funny as the other spurs fan who shat all over Perkins considering he is better than any other spurs big outside of Duncan.

Why would any player not say they're the best at their position and give a possible foe the edge? How quickly people forget that Parker had a horrible outside shot as well until he improved on it. Rondo may do the same.

Give them an edge? what edge, a compe ive playing advantage/edge, or are you saying it would be bad to give a verbal compliment/respect/consideration to an opponent?


It's not like every question has to be black or white...obviously he could say things like, it's close, it's tough to say, there's a lot of great PGs in the league, I think I'm one of the best but really there's a lot of us that are great...anything like this is also a possibility.

he gets steals and makes layups, or just makes layups.

Well, if Rondo had solid jumper, it would keep defenses honest.

Although defenders laying off of him this year seems to give him great passing lanes, hence the higher assist numbers.

Teams will probably give him room in the playoffs this year. He'll have to make them pay either with a jumper or great passes. We will see.

Unless he gets stuck on a ty team. i.e Devin Harris, then Rondo will be fine
