That would be a good message: "Come play for San Antonio, where we not only underpay you your whole career, but then after you've helped us win 4 rings, won a FMVP, and led the team in scoring and assists in the regular season and playoffs for God-knows how long, then we'll trade you for some unproved PG who had to be carried to the playoffs by Lebron."

The PG position is stacked right now. No country for old men, tbh.
Funny, because that old man is the defending champion, moron.

spurs ... guts to trade Parker ... (assorted nonsense) ...
Ungrateful little moron. You don't deserve to wear the label of a Spurs fan.

If Pop didn't have the balls to bench porker when he was obviously dragging the team down, you really think he'd have the balls to trade him?

Maybe we can grab a quality PG like Chris Paul and never make it back to the Western Conference Finals ever again.
We would've won the championship easy if we had Chris Paul over this bag.

SPURS should consider trading TP during regular season when his performance is good. I doubt SPURS have the gut to do so though

Lol, yah I'm sure that he would have won the championship even though he couldn't get to the WCF with Griffin putting up 26 PPG, 13 RPG, 6 APG on 51% shooting. Hahahahaha! When's the last time Parker had someone on his team play that good in the postseason? (besides himself)

I'll answer the question: Duncan in 2003, who put up 26 PPG, 15 RPG, 5 APG on 53% shooting.

Right. Or the "Spur fans" here that were fine with Parker taking pay cuts year after year, and when he has a bad season/playoff run after years of pay cuts, they pull out the dagger and show no appreciation. These are the same guys that will be upset if Manu or Tim don't get the Spurs a huge discount, even though they've been doing that for years.

Parker is not going, anywhere. his role may change, but it will take a few years. At some point we will have to develop a PG for the future. Maybe, this year's draft. When Manu retires, TP will take the offense from the bench role. Pop will limit him to 20-25 min per game to extend his career. As such, look for the Spurs to try and find a big PG (6-4 or 6-5) who at times will play along TP. All things considered, it is the most logical conclusion.

For next year there's a talented guy named Manu Ginobili who would fit this bill.

If there's any front office that is still living in the past, it's the Knicks..

well they did scout PG/SG D'Angelo Russell...given the chance I'd flip Parker for the 3rd/4th pick if and when Duncan and Ginobili don't come back

I'd flip Parker for a #4 pick especially if Tim is coming back.

Nobody, not even the Knicks, is giving us a Top 5 pick for Tony Parker. The league knows he's a third of the player he once was. That's not Spurs corporate knowledge.

No one has the GUTS to even try it, Pork could dismantle the menace in seconds by playing 48 minutes for the other team thats 6 vs 4, Im sorry but thats impossible.
A trade involves offering a player to a team, and that team accepting the player in exchange for money or other player etc. with just one team saying no HE WILL KNOW IT!
So we have only one chance out of 30, too risky.

They traded Sean and Brent Barry. I'd like to see them trade Tony, but they won't as long as the other two are there. If those two left, I think Tony is a goner.

Trade him for what? Just to get rid of him and then start who??? 33 on his downside nobody will give anything of value for him at this point in his career.
