It's a stupid decision any way you slice it. Who's to say they wouldn't have scored the TD by running the ball?

By running the ball you make all or most of the next things happen: can score the TD, make them use their only TO left, Kill more time, have less chances of turning the ball over.

Any of those scenarios is a win for the Giants, there's just no reasonable justification for what Coughlin did.

Their running game sucks & the Pats were playing them for the run. The old man tried to catch them w/ surprise but ODB dropped what should have been the victory sealing TD.

Look at the pass to Beckham again. Perfect.

I think the Giants are best equipped to guard the last minute drive because they have an old school coach who wisely refuses to play prevent defense. Prevent defense is awful 97% of the time it is used in the NFL and only should be used when there's like under 30 seconds left and NO timeouts.

Well that db sure f'd up the pop fly Giselle threw.
Then the linebacker let the receiver turn it from a 61 yard fg attempt to a 54.
Fark even on 2rd down they let Giselle fake them out by throwing that little 5 yarder instead of ing the ball.
They looked very unprepared for final minute drive.
