Wasn't he projected top 3 and slid to Sac at 7? Sounds just as much his fault as the Kings that his career hasn't panned out.

Athletic, improved shooting, and can lock in defensively when he wants.

Another player screwed by the dysfunction of the Kings organization.
They blew it with two straight lottery picks who played the same position (McLemore and Stauskas). Last several drafts all picking in the top 10:

2015 Cauley-Stein (6th) - jury out, but could have cashed in for king's ransom from Boston (wanted Winslow)
    2014 Stauskas (8th) - already dumped with a 1st and a pick swap
2013 McLemore (7th) - KCP, McCollom, Greek Freak, etc. all sitting there
2012 T Robinson (5th) - ahead of Lillard, Barnes, Drummond. Gone before season over for no return
2011 Fredette (10th) after swapping out of Biyambo at 6th - Klay and Kawhi on the board
    2010 Cousins (4th)
2009 Tyreke (4th) - Curry, Derozan and others available

They arguably did just as well with their second rounders - Whiteside and Isiah Thomas, but also have nothing to show for those guys. What a joke of a franchise.

It's sad really. Especially for the fans. Have that many quality picks and deal them away.

Kings are dogged in the pursuit of a postseason spot. Ownership pushing hard to cobble together a playoff team before move to new building.

Some of it seems to be his fault as good young players can break through rotations and show their worth. For example, he was touted as a shooter and has shown some of that but is very inconsistent. But there's something about being in Sac town that make players seem 1 or 2 levels lower than they really are. That could be due to the changes in coaches, front office personnel, player personnel; any number of things mostly out of his control. Sometimes the fit just isn't right.

SBNation reports that the Bulls are discussing Pau trade with the Kings...

Even the guys they picked that produced have pretty bad issues, Evan's produced empty stats and despite his skills, DMC isn't exactly the smartest guy in the NBA.

A dream trade for the Spurs will be: Diaw, Slomo, Boban, Simmons, 3 first round picks for Rudy Gay... We desperately need player like Gay, as a real sixth man player for us, as another fire power and a small ball option against the Dubs..

Says the guy who considers Courtney Lee a Manu replacement
Big Dummy, you aren't going to find better players than Lee for the amount of money the Spurs will have after signing someone like Noah to fill the void left by Tim. I NEVER claimed Lee/Mayo could replace Manu but rather I just stated they could play the 6th man role in Manu's spot as a backup SG.

not surprising you against coming from worst poster like you, (Curry and Warriors still pathetic?)... Listen Are you want a chance for a le or not? right now Spurs not a threat for the Warriors, with the team that you have, With Danny making you almost 4 against 5 on offense sometimes, with Kawhi somewhat vannila as being the guy, with gimmicky bench of nostalgia players like Manu and Boris leading it, Warriors joke on this like the last game... You need to take the risk on player like Gay and hope he buy in to the system and bring the fire power we need as a sixth man and special matchup player as opposite of being a main guy in his other teams...

Several teams with interest in trading for Brooklyn's Thaddeus Young already trying to reach Sean Marks to see where Nets stand on him.

I don't think people are ripping on you for the thought of bringing in Gay (could be another RJ, or he could flourish in the system ... who knows?)

Issue is (1) bringing him in mid-season to a team that's on mid-to-high 60 win pace, (2) you offering up two rotation guys in Diaw and Simmons, plus two decent prospects for him and THEN thinking you need to include THREE first round picks for it. That alone makes me think you're trolling, but knowing the kind of things you post, you may well be serious.

Either way, Diaw + Anderson + Butler + Bonner would get it done for Sacto. No need to trade Simmons. Gay is about to turn 30 and Diaw/Anderson have a lot more value in their current contracts than he does. Nobody in their right mind would give up more value than a non-lottery first rounder for Gay, let alone three.
