Really sad news. Deepest condolences to Coach Pop and his family.
, how did I forget to write that part?

Aww, crap! Pop is really having a trying year. So sad to hear of her passing. The grief process can be so circuitous and disregulating. I wonder if Pop will coach out this season. Might be better than diving head first into the mourning phase.
My guess is that this has had a big effect on him these past few years. It's awesome that he built a classy and principled franchise that will support him through this.
RIP
Yeah I thought this thread was just really low class trolling when I googled Erin Popovich and got a swimmer in the results. Devastating news to hear it was actually true.![]()
They had a beef going on during the 2008 playoffs. That's when Pop went to an aggressive Hack-a-Shaq strategy. I do remember in game 2 of that series Shaq started cursing out Pop during the game after getting fouled. I'm guessing Shaq's story must have happened during that series.
Never understood the ignore button.
damn...sorry to heari apologize for the bad things i said about pop this year with regards to his coaching
I don’t give two s about what people on this forum think about me despite the fact I’ve been here for a long time. This hurts. Pop has been a figure, controversial or not, in many of our lives. It’s truly sad. To anyone who’s lost someone close or unexpectedly these things are really difficult (I lost my dad / best frend to cancer). It’s brutal. And I have as much empathy for someone I’ve never met as I’ve ever had.
That was really nice of her. Thanks for putting that up here.
Triggered conservatives on social media making comments about how its karma for talking Trump. Pretty pathetic imo

Knowing Pop, it’s fair to assume Erin Popovich was an absolute legend. My deepest sympathies to Pop and his daughters.

Just terrible news. What a tragedy. My condolences to Pop and his entire family and I hope they can find some peace knowing she is no longer suffering.
Don't go to Yahoo article, what a cesspool that ing place is.
Agreed, I have never met Pop but this news hits hard. Pop is one of the main faces of the city and his work has brought me so much enjoyment for decades now. So you hate to see bad things happen to such an amazing person.
Not surprising. I always expect the worst out of keyboard warriors in these situations.
Terribly sad news. I had no idea she was even sick, but knowing Pop I'm sure he fiercely protected his wife and family's privacy concerning her illness. Probably suffering in silence all year over this. Puts things in perspective. God bless the Pops.
One of my 1st thoughts.
