What a blow. Means that Ramsey is going to get more minutes. Benayoun is out against Chelsea so that means Wenger is going to do some shuffling and it's going to be interesting to see what he puts on the pitch.
This lineup seems obvious right?
Sagna - Koscielny - Vermaelen - Santos
- Song - Ramsey - Rosicky

Arsenal's starting lineup today:
Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Van Persie.
Gibbs starting instead of Santos but everything else seemed kind of obvious.

Well, I'm afraid there aren't really any options in central midfield, as I absolutely don't want to see Diaby. Although he couldn't have been much worse than Ramsey/Rosicky so far. Gervinho would be an option on the wings.
Not a good first half by Arsenal, but they still had the better chances.

That's what I was thinking. Put Gervinho on the wing and then maybe move AOC to the midfield but the last 10-15 minutes of the first half were positive for Arsenal so it's probably better to build up from that and not just knee jerk right now, so keep what you have.

Arsenal's Theo Walcott 'ruled out for rest of the season' (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17800108)
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says Theo Walcott is likely to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury, but should be fit in time for Euro 2012.
The 23-year-old winger hobbled off in clear discomfort after 60 minutes of Arsenal's 0-0 draw against Chelsea.
"It looks like a serious hamstring," said Wenger. "I think now for him it will be tough to come back before the end of the season.
"It is usually 21 days [minimum]. He should be OK to play for England."
Arsenal travel to Stoke next Saturday and host Norwich a week later before finishing the campaign at West Brom on 13 May.
England depart for the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine on 6 June, with their first match against France in Donetsk on 18 June.
Walcott, who has scored 11 goals in 44 appearances this season, is expected to be named in England's squad for the tournament.
"First we assessed the hamstring," Wenger explained. "He wanted to go on and stay on the pitch.
"I think he should have gone off straight away because the second time it was a real hamstring [injury].
"He will have a good rest but I don't think he will be ready to play for us."
England have already lost the services of Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere, whose ankle injury has seen him miss the entire season.
Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta will also miss the rest of the campaign after damaging ankle ligaments.
HOLY FUCKING DET SHIT :bang :bang :bang :bang :bang
RvP, it's time for you to drag this team to the Champions League.

Someone clear this up for me, so if Chelsea wins the CL, then that means that next year they're automatically in it. So that means that the top 3 teams of the EPL this year will get into it while the 4th will be out no matter what (and can't compete in the qualifiers) since Chelsea is qualified... of course assuming they win the CL.

I never really understood all the hate Suarez got for that handball. In basketball it would be like: with only a few seconds remaining, stopping a sure basket with a foul, getting ejected and then the opponent missing his free throws and the game goes to overtime.
And it's not like he went unpunished, he got sent off and conceded a penalty.
The blame is on the one who misses, not on the one who tried his best in order for his team to win. Had Asamoah scored, Suarez handball would have been a footnote in World Cup history.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1058637/arsenal-reach-deal-to-sign-lucas-podolski-from-fc-cologne?cc=5901
Arsenal's long-awaited purchase of Germany striker Lukas Podolski from FC Cologne has been confirmed.
Podolski will join the Gunners in the summer, after reaching an agreement with the club about personal terms and passing a medical. Neither club has announced the transfer fee involved.
"The move to Arsenal provides a great opportunity for me to gain experience in international competitions at a European top club," Podolski said. "I have made this decision not against FC Cologne but for this great opportunity and the good of my own individual development.

Sagna has been one of the most consistent players for Arsenal over the last years - and consistent in a good way, for the most part at least. By the way, Vertonghen is a left back, as far as I know.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well. Those crosses won't help much against Utd. without someone like Balotelli or Dzeko inside.
