Hopefully they push Samoa Joe and Nakamura properly. I predicted they would go right to the top, but we will see. I don't like Finn Balor at all but he is over with the smarks so I envision him occupying the main event scene as well. Sami Zayn is a good worker, but they are making him a jobber for whatever reason.

They better be real careful pushing Mahal. There are people who can't seperate fact from fiction.

Chucho

They're pushing people that have no right being on the roster, let alone a fucking world title run. This is easily the worst move they've made this century.

I know they want to tap into the Indian market more, but this dude is the jobber of jobbers and would do the job to a piss test if they gave them to everyone.

He is awful. He has no talent. He has a juiced body and punjab DNA and the record of the Brooklyn Brawler. David Arquette levels of bad all around hur.

The Charlotte Flair nude leaks are about as disappointing as I could have imagined. What a horrible boob job.

Man.. the Charlotte leaks didn't make my dick hard in the slightest. Made it more flacid if anything. Shitty ass mouth of fake teeth, huge mole, body shape of a man, fucked up lopsided tits, apparently blown out pussy.. She is fucking hurt af. Hearing the nice wet slurp sound of the toy popping out of Paige's asshole was much better IMO.

He'll give you a reach around to help foot the bill of free rent he gets from his mommy and daddy.

Making fun of pro rasslin is like making fun of faggy Star Wars fans, queers who dress up as comic characters and for a dude on a sports board based on obsessing over fully grown men playing games with other fully grown men is hypocritical. You can make homosexual and nerd innuendos to any of those fanbases.

His bullying agenda reeks of 90sisms. He needs to live with a female whose breast he didnt feed from til he was 12 before knocking someone for liking a fictitious, subjective entertainment medium.

Yep, the guy is a know nothing who bores the fuck out of me.

As you know the biz of pro rasslin' is very interesting. The poltics involved, intriguing. Who gets a push and why? Who isn't get the push they deserve..??? Why isn't Reigns a monster heal? What took so long to break up The Shield? What does McMahan have against the Rhodes family? And on and on....

For a guy like myself who got into it in the 50's, to see how the biz has evolved.....cool. And I do have all that history.

The biz was at it's best when we still had the AWA, WCW, World Class, CWA, WWF, UWF. So many rasslers, so much going on.

was watchin some yt clips...heel Hogan was awesome entrance music and his nwo faction

but seriously how big was wcw roster? seems like half of them establish superstars were in the nwo, and what probably destroyed the company was those stars not putting others over to push talent through the ranks? besides Goldberg, sting, ddp who weren't part of any faction, how can they survive with the matchups or give out good h2h matches?

then wwe buying them out and destroying what could've been good storylines with the amount of talent that was available to them to milk it, but they were to busy trying to protect their own brand and curb stomping on whatever wcw was with the merger, talent roster disappeared or not fully utilized...

Chucho

I just remember when they rolled out the nWo B team music. Every time I heard it, you know it was the way to identify the guys on the nWo roster who could be pinned.

Funny story. We get alot of leads coming in thru our website and today I got one from Erik Watts. As soon as I saw it Eric with a "K", I started wondering. Then I see the company is in Alpharetta, GA, a second . So, we talk business for a good half hour and he knows I know his industry and I want to poke around without flat out asking him if he is Erik Watts, failure son of Bill Watts so I kinda drop hints when talking about the areas he wants us to market for him and I drop the term "Mid-South" and using old WCW stomping ground cities like Tupelo, Miss and Mobile, Ala.

As we're closing out the convo as he had an appointment, I ask him if he is the Erik Watts that QB'd Louisville in the late 80s, he said yes, sounding kind of shocked that aomeone would remember him for football. Then asked if his dad was Bill, he said es, but you could hear his voice drop in disappointment. Dunno if he can afford our services, but small world. Only other celebrity I've spoken with at work was Jorge Cervantes of High Time fame. But like most skeevy, lifetime potheads, he was pretty broke.

What amazes me about the WWE is how any of us '"fans" could do a better job. Seth Rollins is way past tagteams now, totally redo the RAW/Smackdown rosters, (I'd dump Smackdown totally). Get Kenny Omega, Get Prince Puma, make CM Punk an offer he can't refuse.

The script writers are bad, they suck. So many stupid ideas, sheesh~~~

No Brock you won't be getting special treatment and no more The Undertaker, long Bray Wyatt Wyatt bullshit......boring.

So more Lesnar, AJ Styles, Reigns, Orton, Rollins, Stroman and less of everyone else.

The year was 1963 we are in LA. It's a WWA title bout between Fred Blassie vs Bearcat Wright. Story goes Wright was scripted to lose this match, but......he head butts Blassie...for real...knocking him down and the ref had to count 1...2...3 as Wright covers.

Obviously this pissed off the powers that be so Wright was stripped of the title, not sure how they did this.

What a colorful and interesting business.

I did see Blassie rassle before he became a blonde.

First became aware of Leon White while he was a footballer at Colorado. Very quick for a big guy.

As we all know he worked stiff which is a no no in the biz, meaning nobody wanted to work with him. Being realistic isn't what others want. They have another match tomorrow night, don't have time to recover from that one.

RIP

I'd say a good dozen pro footballers (White a Ram) made some impact in the rasslin; biz.

In my book it's pre/post Hulk Hogan when talking the rasslin'. I know Flair came before but most of his career was after so....

I do prefer the days of Bruno, Thesz, Gagne, "Superstar" Billy Graham, The original "Nature Boy", Blassie, Kowalski, Rocca, Carentier etc etc....The original Sheik. But....the sport didn't reach the same audience it did in 80's and Hogan played a HUGE role in that.

You're wrong. He made his bones and the vast majority of his fortune working stiff. He is a GOD in Japan because of his incredibly realistic style and drew major money and the first Gaijin to hold both the IWGP and Triple Crown. Japan wrestling is NOTHING but stiff.

And when he came to American, although stiff, he was generally well liked and his style never really hurt anyone. The reason he wasn't liked was because he was very protective of his spot hence the fist fight with Orndorf. And, even funnier, he was sooooo into the Japanese culture that he rarely washed his attire because of superstition and the wrestlers here stateside hated workin with him due to his odor.

Re: Bret Hart on why he didn't want to work with Vader I think the problem with Vader was at the time he was in a company that really couldn't afford to have injuries stacking up. The guy was clearly reckless - his matches with Hansen, his back breaking power bomb on a WCW jobber and his treatment of Foley all attest to that. Plus from every interview I have read the likes of Michaels, Hart, Taker, Nash et al were all relatively soft workers so having a guy like Vader come in a smack the shit out of you is hardly going to be endearing.

Its not that surprising from Hart either. He is all into the 'art' of wrestling where nobody gets injured and everything is relatively light so of course he will bash the guy that is stiff.

I think this was after Cactus got powerbomed on the concrete (awesome and a simple heat magnet that should be brought back) and then had the amnesia gimmick (god awful and amnesia gimmicks should be illegal).

I grew up watching both brands and pre-Hogan WCW, I always felt was more "real". They style, the blood and stufff, but as a kid, that WWF formula drew me in- the characters and colors, but god damn, Vader always felt like a bona fide monster bad ass...

New Japan has always been better if you're judging by pure wrestling ability.. and that's the name of the game. WWE is at least letting Matt Hardy use a slight variant (legalities) of the "Broken Matt Hardy" gimmick he created at Impact to get himself over at 45 years old.

Yes, it may have been a powerbomb.. All I know is Cactus took a disgusting overweight wrestler bump and you could hear that thud when he hit.. I was a fan of his ever since, although I didn't see him again until he popped up as Mankind and one of my friends pointed out that he was Cactus Jack in WCW. I completely missed anything he did in ECW because the first televised ECW here in SA was Barely Legal in 1997 (TWC didn't carry it, some shitty cable company here did) and by that time he was in WWF.

Back in that time about 1996, I had just got access to the Internet by purchasing a fucking WebTV :lol.. I found some tape trader sites and ended up ordering like 20 different Japanese deathmatch vids, the King of the Deathmatch Tournament, the original two Super J Cups, and a compilation of All Japan's best matches. Misawa, Kobashi, Kawada, Akiyama all blew away that powerbomb Foley took on concrete with their off the apron moves they kept pushing to the next level

Tape trading was the shit and your experience was basically the same as mine. I was first exposed to ECW thru the cheap wrestling mags first and ECW ran their tape ads in those mags as well. My first tape was when Bam Bam beat Shane Douglas for the world title, I think it was the night the line was crossed or some shit like that.

Bought tapes from a few of the "mainstream" traders in the early days of the net and then found "The Tapeman" Corey on one of the first boards I visited back then and this dude sold not by the tape, but by the hours so you got 3 6 hour tapes for dirt cheap. Essentially, it was make your own mixtapes of shit you couldn't get anywhere else for $20. That's how I discovered how bad ass the AJPW shit from the late 80s thru the 90s was. I know everyone has a hard on for NJPW these days but 90s AJPW was still the best wrestling ever. Kawada bombs, head drops and stiffing the fuck out of the fuck out of the fuck out of eachother.

My absolute first exposure to ECW was in like 1994 when they only had ECW Hardcore TV airing in the Philadelphia market.. It was on like Hard Copy or one of those shows, and they ran a segment on it because of the violence, and the way they used to allow the fans to bring in whatever weapons they wanted the wrestlers to use. Then they went back into the underground, and resurfaced for me when they appeared on RAW as "Extremely Crappy Wrestling" to promote Barely Legal..

..and yeah.. Old school 90's AJPW.. Dear God. I can't imagine sitting up there in the torture rack position, waiting for Kobashi to deliver his Burning Hammer knowing that there is a great chance your career and/or life might end in a couple seconds. The Gonso Bomb was another sick moment, and I read it was improv'd.

For a good laugh, go back and watch the 93 or 94 Rumble.. They gave all 30 participants a 15 second promo before the match.. :lmao at EVERY wrestler all juiced up and screaming in some monster voice.. Vince has to be shitting his business suit right now as he now knows he has a serious threat to his business.. AEW reps have said they aren't interested in a Monday Night War or competing w/ Vince, but I don't buy it. Billionaire Ted has to be licking his lips at the thought of a rematch..

And he's got the XFL on his plate, too. AEW running on Mondays would be the thing to reignite a lot of interest in wrestling. Only thing is AEW isn't quite ready yet.

They need to establish themselves and their first major star before trying to go head to head. All-In was very impressive, but it's a lot easier to book a one nighter than weeklies and a full on promotion. Do what TNA wanted to do without the fuckery and then go at it.

I can see viability in Cody and Kenny Omega...but the Young Bucks fucking suck. Don't care how cool their flippy shit is to some people, it looks so awful.

Would be cool to see if the WWE would start running NXT shows opposite of AEW shows...if they were smart anyways. But they'd probably run their own main card shit with a chick headline.

You're right, they aren't ready.. My thought is they will test the waters first, and depending how things go from there. WWE is fucking trash and I know even the older kids have to be getting tired of their shit too. Once they see some of these AEW stars in action like Omega, Pentagon, Pac, CIMA, Angelico, The Young Bucks (I've seen them live several times I have to disagree there but I do think they've both gotten older and gained some weight), etc, they're gonna earn a ton of new fans.. We'll see how Billy Gunn and BJ Whitmer handle the production duties..

Hopefully AEW strikes some deals with some other promotions to bring in some extra talent too..

That's the thing...the match quality is the best it's ever been in WWE up and down the card so it's not like AEW has much of a leg up there, no matter who they bring in and honestly, they can bring in all the best in the world the WWE hasn't contracted yet, but if they have any hopes of catching mainstream foothold, they need some names.

They have the finances and they have wrestling people running the company. They have a TV deal that has heavy nostalgia within the industry and an awesome talent. They need to find a way to make people care about their talent and make them want to see matches beyond "oh that's cool" which only panders to the hardcore audience but not the causal.

The E fucking flunks. How NXT and the main brand can be sooooo far off as far as how simple it is to make a quality show. NXT has a constantly revolving door yet everyone gets over as fuck and then they go to the main show and 90% die.

If NXT went head to head, it'd be all bad for AEW as NXT is basically the same product. But, fortunately, they've got a chance against the "main" show which is poorly booked and written. If they just did what NXT does, it'd be sooo much better.

What AEW does have is the benefit of having the cash and platform to promote all the stars leaving the WWE, so there is built talent that is still young they can use to draw and get mainstream attention. Ambrose, PAC are smart pickups and now there's a viable, real 2nd place to go. I can seen Steen and Zayne ending up there too.

The one thing they need to do is don't do the comedy shit like Chikara or the Joey Ryan dick spots or Chuck Taylor's grenade or any shit that makes your 5* matches on the card automatically worthless. Cool to entertain your 500+ indy fanbois, but the mainstream wont get it and you KILL your product regardless if everyone knows it's fake.

WWE has never had a roster this deep.. Their struggles are 100% back stage. Judging by the influx of complainers and tweets in the company, I was expecting a lot more talents to demand releases. The good thing is a lot of the better wrestlers in the company aren't really shit, so them getting released is really no issue for Vince.. But then you got a guy like Luke Harper who they absolutely won't allow to walk because he's tall :lol

Ricochet would have been a big addition to the AEW Roster, the Nazi Experience (or whatever they're called this week) would have been as well.

Botcha Banks is trying to leave too tweeting to Tessa Blanchard challenging her to a match and shit, but they're gonna freeze her out and make her complete her commitments

SMH Joey Ryan.. I shit you not man me and my homie were about 2/2000 NOT cheering for that faggots bullshit. Seriously, if my kid was w/ me and Joey Ryan is on the card, that's the bathroom break and food op. This faggot was super happy because Joey Ryan gave his presucked blowpop to him, put it right in his mouth.. Then the whole crowd starts chanting "You have herpes" and pointing at him :lol

I remember seeing him during the Mustache Ride era at ACW a few times. Was cool and then it just got stupid. I even think I had a Ryan shirt. God... that was such a fun ass local indy...had everything...old school Texas rasslin, flippy rasslin, strong style and hella hardcore and they were good bringing in talent. Saw Masada, BxB Hulk, Chris Hero, Arik Cannon, Bryan Danielson, Low Ki, Necro Butcher and some others. Good indy.

Yeah, I agree. Sashsa Banks sucks. And Bailey. She's the fucking generic mayonnaise of female wrestling.

I've been to quite a few RoH shows here in SA, and have been able to see some really good talent over the years:

Very few women are able to move in a way that doesn't look like a badly choreographed D movie action scene during their spots.. It's hard not to sound sexist, but it's fucking true. Gail Kim is one of the few women who moves like the men do.

Their rumble is a joke too, they have to climb on the bottom rope to get propelled over. That's how you know they're getting eliminated

Saw the Moxley AEW debut...man, those were some awful double arm DDTs. Mick Foley's decrepit ass could hit better looking DDTs than that.

Either way, kinda excited to see how everything pans out in this new "war".

The mid carders who didn't get any shine showing up on AEW will be all kinds of over because of the nostalgic feel of the MNW days when dudes were jumping companies left and right.

There's one talent right now that would make AEW legit competition. Want to play WCW, be WCW and get the biggest name out there. Get Cena. Turn him uber fucking heel against the fanboy audience and just run through everyone and then drop to Omega. Would be GOLD. Cena has more heel ability than anyone in the biz, tbh.

They don't have the money for Cena, whatever they'll pay him he'll just walk up to vince and he'll match it, plus let him have all the days off. Their best shot is Punk, also that intro sucked in terms of production, it took him like 5 minutes to get to the ring, shoulda just did the run in.

He was pretty damn over rated for a guy who is 50% Necro Butcher, 50% watered down Pillman.

Did see the Cody/Goldust match...that was pretty damn good. Dustin is one of the best 50 year old workers ever.

Like back in the day now these guys will have some leverage when it comes time to talk contracts/$$$$. Will it be Memphis, UWF, World Class, AWA, WCW, WWE? No not really but they will have...AEW....which won't help the WWE any.

This is a good thing.

Imagine a time with at least 100 "name" rasslers out there all at work at the same time, yep, the best of times.

They're fine. It wasnt a massacre, it was expected being their first night.

Some good stuff, some bad stuff. Why does every fucking match have to feel too long and over extended? Like 50 fucking near falls in EVERY match.

Also, the Bucks and Omega still suck everywhere outside of New Japan. Bucks need to get on fdet juice. Their tumors from slapping their thighs are bigger than their biceps.

AEW has always been trash, WWE has been giving us shit crowds for years, no crowds sucks, but it's going to be meh till they do the right thing which is to focus on building good characters and dropping their inane obsession with skirt wrestling
