A succession of Republican state officials, including Byrd and Ashley Moody, the Florida attorney general, lauded Antonacci on his taxpayer-funded appointment in July 2022 to clamp down on election fraud that did not, by any discernible measure, exist in the state.

Tina Peters guilty: Former Mesa County clerk convicted on 7 charges
Twelve Mesa County jurors found Tina Peters guilty of four felonies on Monday after a lengthy criminal trial, marking yet another conviction tied to post-2020 election conspiracy theories.
Peters faced a total of 10 criminal charges related to her role in helping a man gain unauthorized access to voting equipment during a secure software update in May 2021. The county’s voting machine’s passwords and copies of its hard drive were later posted online by people trying to undermine the validity of the election system.
The jury deliberated for around four and a half hours Monday afternoon before reaching their decision, which was read out to a packed courtroom just after 5 p.m.

Texas officials say no proof of illegal voter registration | The Texas Tribune (https://www.texastribune.org/2024/08/26/texas-voter-registration-election-ken-paxton-investigation/?utm_campaign=trib-social-buttons&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social)
Bartiromo is no stranger to spreading controversial allegations with little or no proof. She was among the first on Fox News to repeat a baseless conspiracy theory that Dominion Voting Systems had rigged its voting machines to take votes away from Donald Trump during the 2020 presidential election.
Those allegations were the basis of a $787 million defamation lawsuit settlement between Dominion and Fox News. As part of the suit, it was revealed that the source of Bartiromo’s Dominion claims was an email from a Minnesota woman who, in addition to what she described as a “wackadoodle (https://www.npr.org/2023/02/20/1158223099/fox-news-dominion-wackadoodle-election-fraud-claim)” theory about Dominion, wrote that she was a time-traveler (https://www.thedailybeast.com/meet-the-ghost-minnesota-artist-fox-relied-on-for-voter-fraud-claims) who talks to the wind, and that former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was actually killed as part of a weeklong human hunting expedition.
The woman’s claims were forwarded to Bartiromo by Sidney Powell, a Dallas lawyer and longtime election fraud conspiracy theorist who pleaded guilty last year for her role in an attempt to overturn 2020 election results in Georgia. A day after receiving the email, Bartiromo aired an interview with Powell that echoed many of its claims about Dominion. Text messages made public as part of the Dominion suit show that some of Bartiromo’s producers believed she was susceptible (https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/business/story/2023-03-09/fox-news-anchor-maria-bartiromo-dominion-defamation-suit-murdoch-trump-election-2020-carlson) to conspiracy theories, and that GOP activists were using her to advance their agenda.

Voter fraud in Texas.
Republicans unregistering democratic voters by the thousands because they didn't vote in the primary.
When they show up to vote in the election they will be told they can't vote as they are not registered anymore. Happened to both my mother and sister.

Yeah, unfortunately, several of the smartest, most successful people I know are die-hard Trumpers. It isn't about what he says, or does, or even thinks. It's only about their take-home $$ and/or cutting regulations/taxes on their business(es).

Peters claims -- evidence-free, naturally -- that she was attempting to prevent a greater crime.
There were no discrepancies between the electronic tabulation and the count of the physical ballots in Mesa County in 2020.
Peters was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, first-degree official misconduct, violation of duty and failing to comply with the secretary of state.Tina Peters, former Colorado clerk, sentenced 9 years for voting scheme | AP News (https://apnews.com/article/tina-peters-colorado-clerk-election-vote-fraud-b456ce4f80dc97f4b967eb6297311a51?taid=66fee3a60f79 0d0001f52597&utm_campaign=TrueAnthem&utm_medium=AP&utm_source=Twitter)

Iron Range woman charged with voting twice
GRAND RAPIDS — An Itasca County woman faces three felony charges after allegedly attempting to vote twice in the general election.
A criminal complaint says Danielle Christine Miller, 40, of rural Nashwauk, admitted to filling out and submitting an absentee ballot for her mother, who died in August. The fraudulent submission was flagged by election officials before it could be counted.
“The defendant admitted her deceased mother was an avid Donald Trump supporter and had wanted to vote for Trump in this election but had passed shortly before the absentee ballots were received,” according to the complaint filed last week in State District Court.
The Itasca County Auditor’s Office said it received sealed ballot envelopes containing signatures for Miller and her mother, Rose Marie Javorina, on Oct. 7. But Javorina had died Aug. 31, according to the Minnesota Vital Statistics death report, so the matter was referred to the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office.

cliffs notes version; in several states- including NC, Florida (yup even Florida) and ALL the swing states - so far...
once normal voting hit 66% with Kamala in a comfortable lead -
suddenly the algorhythms or some tampering or some malfeasance occurred because - like clockwork-
in all states investigated - once the total votes counted reached 66% - trump numbers shot up disproportionately and helped him win those states....regardless of which voting machines were audited...
all that is explained in this video and others by this election alliance investigators but it is a long arduous watch...
(*he didn't win, he wasnt shot, he is in the files and is a pedophile*)

Former Republican state legislator Austin Smith pleaded guilty Monday to what he previously called “ludicrous” charges that he personally forged more than 100 signatures on his petitions for reelection last year.
The Republican from Surprise was a member of the far-right Arizona Freedom Caucus, which has a history of spreading false claims of election fraud in the 2020 presidential election and pushed for election law changes in the state legislature.
“As a part of his guilty plea today, Smith admitted signing the name of a deceased woman on one of his candidate nomination petitions in March of 2024,” Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said in a statement. “He also admitted that he attempted to deceive the Secretary of State’s Office by knowingly filing petitions containing forged signatures of purported supporters of his nomination for the Republican primary for State Representative from LD 29.”

Peters was convicted of three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, first-degree official misconduct, violation of duty and failing to comply with the secretary of state.

Utah’s elections office has not been able to confirm any cases of noncitizens voting in elections as it nears completing a review of voter rolls, while GOP lawmakers move forward with a bill that would require Utahns to provide documentary proof of citizenship to participate in state elections.
After spending months reviewing 2.1 million people on Utah’s voter rolls, the lieutenant governor has not found a single instance of a noncitizen voting in the state and only one instance of an ineligible individual registering to vote.

I agree with you but, not for the reasons stated. I think it's entirely possible what is taking place right now - even if the SAVES Act doesn't get passed before the midterms - is enough to cause some of the local an State election officials to make damn sure their ballots are legal and on the up and up.
As for the judiciary being a co-equal branch - only the U. S. Supreme Court is defined as such. All inferior courts are a creation of the U. S. House of Representatives.

Turns Out There Was Voter Fraud in Georgia—by Elon Musk
If Donald Trump’s administration really wants to find evidence of foreign interference in Georgia’s elections, then they need look no further than the president’s old friend Elon Musk and his shady super PAC.
Members of the Georgia State Elections Board voted Wednesday to issue a formal letter of reprimand to Musk’s America PAC over the billionaire technocrat’s illegal scheme to get Trump elected. Georgia, a key battleground state in 2024, was the target of aggressive campaigning by Trump’s team.
In October 2024, the Georgia secretary of state’s office launched an investigation after receiving numerous reports from residents across several counties saying they’d received partially prefilled absentee ballot applications from Musk’s America PAC, according to John Fervier, the State Elections Board’s chairman.
There was evidence to suggest America PAC had violated a state law that prohibits any person or entity, other than an authorized relative, to send an elector an absentee ballot application prefilled with the elector’s required information, according to Janice Johnston, the SEB’s vice chairman.

cheaters cry the loudest of all about cheating
Austin Smith — a former Arizona state legislator and Turning Point USA official who spread false claims of election fraud around the 2020 election — pleaded guilty on Monday to election fraud charges.
Smith led the so-called Arizona Freedom Caucus in the state legislature while serving as the “enterprise director” for Turning Point Action, a nonprofit branch of Turning Point USA that helped to fuel false claims (https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/mar/02/far-right-youth-group-turning-point-charlie-kirk) of election-rigging against Republicans.
Smith pleaded guilty (https://mcusercontent.com/cc1fad182b6d6f8b1e352e206/files/2d4679ee-f55a-b49d-895f-2b5110d3fb0e/Austin_Smith_Plea.pdf) to “attempted fraudulent schemes and practices” and “illegal signing of election petitions” after he was found to have forged signatures on his reelection petition. In a now-deleted tweet, he previously (https://azmirror.com/2024/04/18/austin-smith-drops-reelection-campaign-amid-accusations-of-petition-signature-fraud/) called the allegations “ludicrous” and claimed they were part of a “coordinated attack” against him by Democrats.
“Forging signatures, including those of people who have died, in order to get yourself on the ballot is illegal, and it erodes trust in our elections,” said Attorney General Kris Mayes in a statement announcing the conviction (https://www.azag.gov/press-release/attorney-general-mayes-announces-conviction-former-legislator-austin-smith). “My office will continue to hold accountable anyone who tries to cheat the system and mislead Arizona voters.”

FBI shuts down Nevada voter fraud investigation
The FBI has closed a politically charged voter fraud inquiry sought by Nevada's top federal prosecutor, after finding only 38 non-citizens may have voted in the 2020 presidential election, sources with direct knowledge of the probe told CBS News.
The FBI ended the inquiry in late January, after Sigal Chattah (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/judge-trump-nevada-prosecutor-not-validly-serving/), the first assistant U.S. attorney in Nevada, had ordered the bureau in July to open a 2020 election fraud probe that she claimed could help flip a key congressional seat in Republicans' favor. She also said it could ensnare President Trump's Democratic opponents — state attorneys general who had gone after fake electors — sources previously told CBS News.
At that time, she provided the FBI with a thumb drive of data compiled by the Republican Party that she claimed would show that non-citizens had voted in the 2020 election and that people on Indian reservations were accepting cash for ballots, the sources previously said.
But an FBI review of Nevada voter roll data, compared against Department of Homeland Security citizenship data, only identified 38 possible non-citizen voters. In addition, FBI agents told Chattah's office that the statute of limitations to pursue any possible case had also expired, which made bringing a case untenable, according to sources familiar with the case.
Chattah did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Conservative activist Harry Wait said he ordered ballots in the names of prominent local politicians four years ago to expose the risks of voter fraud. Prosecutors determined he was right that voter fraud was an issue — and he was the culprit.
On Tuesday night, a jury in Wisconsin convicted Wait of one felony count of identity theft and two misdemeanor counts of election fraud. The jury acquitted him on a second identity theft charge. He faces a maximum penalty of seven years in prison, though he is unlikely to receive such a severe punishment.https://www.rawstory.com/election-fraud-2676616619/

DOJ is now 0-5 in lawsuits for states to reveal unredacted voter rolls
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a lawsuit against Secretary of State Gregg Amore for refusing to turn over Rhode Island’s full, unredacted statewide voter registration list and related records.
In summer 2025 the DOJ demanded the complete voter file — including voters’ full names, dates of birth, residential addresses, and either driver’s license numbers or the last four digits of Social Security numbers — as part of a nationwide investigation into alleged non-compliance with federal voter list-maintenance requirements under the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) and Help America Vote Act (HAVA).
The state declined to provide the sensitive personal information, citing state privacy statutes and constitutional authority over elections. The DOJ contends this refusal violates Title III of the Civil Rights Act of 1960 (52 U.S.C. §§ 20701–20705) and is asking the federal district court to order immediate production of the complete voter records.

PR prison gangs used drugs to get prisoners to vote for the Republican candidate for Governor
When Trump was inaugurated, prosecutors were told to stop investigating ties to political officials
Puerto Rico’s representative in Congress and four other members of the House of Representatives have asked the Department of Justice’s Office of the Inspector General to investigate why a federal probe into a prison drugs-for-votes scheme was abandoned after the 2024 elections.
“Credible allegations of election fraud uncovered through federal investigative work warrant serious scrutiny and transparent explanation,” the members of Congress wrote in the May 20 letter, adding that it was essential for “public confidence in democratic institutions” that such claims are handled consistently, “regardless of the political actors involved.”
The letter (https://embed.documentcloud.org/documents/28140213-election-protection-letter/?embed=1) was signed by Resident Commissioner Pablo José Hernández Rivera, a Democrat and member of Puerto Rico’s Popular Democratic Party, as well as Reps. Robert Garcia, D-Calif., ranking member of the House Oversight Committee; Nydia Velázquez, D-N.Y.; Adriano Espaillat, D-N.Y., chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus; and Jesús “Chuy” García, D-Ill., a member of the House Judiciary Committee.
Their request follows a ProPublica investigation that published earlier this month detailing how prosecutors had uncovered a drugs-for-votes scheme being run by a violent gang in Puerto Rican prisons (https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-doj-puerto-rico-election-fraud-prison-drugs-votes) and were deep into looking at whether now-Gov. Jenniffer González-Colón or her campaign were involved. In the days following President Donald Trump’s election in 2024, as prosecutors prepared the indictment, they were told by supervisors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Puerto Rico to exclude the voting-related charges against inmates and prison staff, four sources with knowledge of the investigation told ProPublica. Then, once Trump took office, they were told to abandon the probe into potential political ties entirely, the sources said.

fake primary residence in Alabama, bona fide domicile in Florida
State law requires Senate candidates to live in Alabama for only a day, but gubernatorial candidates must reside there for at least seven years, and Tuberville's voting record suggests he hasn't.
"This is the Tommy Tuberville who stood on the Senate floor this year and demanded the country pass the SAVE Act, the bill to require proof of citizenship to register and a photo ID to vote, to stop people from voting where they’re not supposed to," Whitmire wrote. "In 2018, his vote did count — only in a state where he says his taxes show he no longer lived as a 'resident citizen.'"
"The tax records show that Tuberville moved to the Auburn house that August," Whitmire wrote. "But Florida election records show he and his wife, Suzanne, voted in Florida that November, three months after the income taxes say he became an Alabama resident. That’s also after the homestead exemption."https://www.rawstory.com/tommy-tuberville-residency/

Voter fraud maven Jak Posobiec does the voter fraud
Lives in Maryland, votes in Pennsylvania using his parents' address
The 40-year-old Posobiec has voted in Pennsylvania elections from 2004 to 2024, both in person and by mail, according to a copy of his voting record viewed by Slate and the Handbasket. Until 2016, Posobiec used military and civilian overseas ballots. After resigning from his job as a Navy Reserve intelligence officer (https://www.militarytimes.com/2017/08/17/navy-strips-security-clearance-from-officer-who-tweeted-about-charlottesville/) in 2017, he remained in Maryland while becoming a full-time influencer and political activist with groups such as Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point USA. He continued voting in Pennsylvania via absentee ballots and, later, in-person on-demand mail voting (https://www.pa.gov/agencies/vote/voter-support/mail-in-and-absentee-ballot/mail-ballot-before-election-day), using his parents’ home address in 2018, 2022, and 2024, according to an official copy of his voter information file from Montgomery County obtained through a right-to-know request.
In a 2017 divorce complaint from his first wife, Posobiec listed a Maryland apartment as his address. Both he and his current wife, Tanya, have posted on their personal social media accounts photos of the suburban Maryland home they appear to have resided in since 2018. Tanya often calls the house “home”—at least five times, according to our review—and shows many milestones of family life there. She also lists her location as the District of Columbia on Facebook and enrolls in family crafts and lessons in the area, according to her social media posts. She registered to vote at their Maryland address on Election Day 2020. (Posobiec voted that year in person in Pennsylvania.)
Perhaps most damningly, Posobiec listed a Maryland address—the same one he and his wife show in social media posts—more than a dozen times in his 2024 political contributions, according to Federal Election Commission filings.
Some of those contributions (which, again, listed Maryland as his home address) were made on Oct. 27, 2024. Exactly two weeks earlier, Posobiec posted a photo on X (https://x.com/JackPosobiec/status/1845480941159866781) featuring a Pennsylvania ballot and captioned: “SECURED THE BAG. Just stopped by the county voting board and did the deed—easy and even open on Sunday! Vote Early, Pennsylvania!” His voting record shows that he voted by hand-delivered mail-in ballot that day.

more attempted rule by presidential decree
also, clear violation of 18 USC §1701 (https://uscode.house.gov/view.xhtml?req=granuleid:USC-prelim-title18-section1701&num=0&edition=prelim)
State election officials could soon face a stark choice: Hand over voter lists to the Trump administration or risk losing Postal Service delivery for mail-in ballots.
That dilemma stems from newly proposed USPS rules that seek to comply with an executive order (https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/31/politics/mail-in-voting-trump-executive-order) President Donald Trump signed this spring to crack down on mail-in voting. If courts let the order stand, it would give the federal government an unprecedented role in elections (https://www.cnn.com/2026/05/11/politics/trump-postal-service-election-fraud-crusade) — and could put even more voter data in the hands of Trump officials searching for supposed election fraud.
The proposed rules lay out new conditions that states would have to meet to send ballots through the mail, including giving the agency lists of all voters set to receive mail ballots.

The National Design Studio is a White house managed skunk works that among other things is attempting to replace Vote.gov
Some of the NDS’s work is even more opaque, including an apparent redesign of the federal government’s voting registration hub.A sign-in page run by the studio on a White House-controlled web address carries the title “Log in to vote.gov preview”. Above the password field is a notice: “For official use only. Actions will be recorded in accordance with applicable law.”
Vote.gov is a federal voter registration website. By law (https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/PLAW-107publ252/html/PLAW-107publ252.htm) it belongs to the Election Assistance Commission (https://www.eac.gov/about) (EAC), an independent, bipartisan body that Congress established in 2002 after the disputed 2000 election. Congress created the commission specifically so no sitting president would control the federal voter-registration system.https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jun/28/government-website-visitor-tracking-surveillance-fears

The studio’s version has been live on White House systems since 17 September 2025, according to public records of secure web addresses (https://crt.sh/?q=vote-gov.previews.ndstudio.gov).
Late last year, the NDS began presenting its system to state election directors.
The first such briefing, on 17 October, was on a call of the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED). Call notes summarising the meeting (https://www.votebeat.org/2025/10/28/trump-administration-proposes-online-federal-voter-registration-form/) record members representing states of both parties expressing (https://www.spotlightpa.org/news/2025/10/trump-digital-voter-registration-plan-state-opposition-elections/) “serious concerns with this project not complying with state law” and noting that “the developers do not seem to want to spend the time to understand election official concerns”.

Six days after the 17 October meeting, on 23 October, a National Design Studio engineer, Akash Bobba, reportedly briefed the system (https://www.votebeat.org/2025/10/28/trump-administration-proposes-online-federal-voter-registration-form/) on a recorded conference call organised by the National Association of Secretaries of State. Under the studio’s design, voters would be required to verify their identity through Login.gov, the federal sign-in gateway, and to have their citizenship checked against a database run by the Department of Homeland Security.
Asked on the call what the federal government would retain of the personal information voters entered into the system, Bobba reportedly said (https://www.votebeat.org/2025/10/28/trump-administration-proposes-online-federal-voter-registration-form/) that “clear data retention policies” would be given to states ahead of implementation, but conceded: “I don’t know what they retain and what they are logging.”
The Election Assistance Commission has been part of the discussions. Its chair, Donald Palmer, reportedly said (https://www.votebeat.org/2025/10/28/trump-administration-proposes-online-federal-voter-registration-form/) the commission was “facilitating discussion with state election officials on modernizing an accessible tool to provide a verifiable digital registration option”.
The Guardian contacted the Election Assistance Commission for comment but received no response.
The EPIC’s Davisson said: “With vote.gov, that’s the province of the Election Assistance Commission. But if you’re centralizing that in the White House, the White House is going to have sort of access to that backbone of data.
He added: “Doing that outside of the appropriate channels, I think, is definitely going to – it’s dangerous and it’s going to erode trust.”
The Help America Vote Act of 2002 put voter-registration administration under an independent bipartisan commission, structurally outside the reach of any sitting president. The studio’s version appears to collapse this arm’s-length arrangement.

A former Republican lawmaker who questioned the integrity of Arizona’s elections and served as a leader for the conservative group Turning Point Action was sentenced Tuesday to probation and a five-year ban on running for public office for using nominating petitions that contained forged signatures in a bid to qualify for a 2024 primary election.
Austin Smith, 30, pleaded guilty (https://apnews.com/article/arizona-exlawmaker-indicted-petition-signatures-61a2d926acec2423f964ed4febd1374f) in mid-November to charges of attempted fraudulent schemes and practices, and illegal signing of election petitions. He had acknowledged trying to use petitions with forged signatures that he knew were false and forging a dead woman’s signature on a nominating petition.
Smith represented an Arizona House district in the Phoenix suburbs for one term before dropping his reelection bid (https://apnews.com/article/austin-smith-turning-point-arizona-forged-signatures-6da8cb5625f234d365047138229ccbe6) in April 2024 when questions arose about signatures on his nominating petitions.

Republicans are desperate to suppress voting, SCOTUS continues to roil elections during the election year -- RIP Purcell principle
Under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/52/20507), election officials are supposed to finish any program for systematically removing ineligible voters 90 days before Election Day in federal races. That deadline applies to the 44 states covered (https://www.eac.gov/blogs/list-maintenance-national-voter-registration-act) by the NVRA, plus Washington, D.C.
Congress passed this ban on late mass purges to make sure any eligible voters who mistakenly get caught up in a purge have enough time to resolve issues and cast their ballots.
But as this fall's midterm election draws closer, some legal experts are questioning how courts will enforce what's known as the 90-day "quiet period" that's set to begin Aug. 5.
Much of that uncertainty is the result of a brief, unexplained ruling (https://www.supremecourt.gov/orders/courtorders/103024zr_f2ah.pdf) the Supreme Court's conservative majority made before the 2024 election, allowing a Virginia program for removing suspected noncitizens to continue during that year's quiet period.

Statute of limitations passed
So, is there anything wrong with the DOJ using the Grand Jury to subpoena these records from Fulton County? In this Court’s view, yes. These records, even if they lead to the DOJ finding individuals who worked for Fulton County in the 2020 Election who support the theory that the 2020 Election was not fair, would not lead to information that could be used to charge anyone with anything, at least not any viable charge. That is because the statute of limitations for any possible crime arising from the 2020 Election has long expired, as the DOJ must have brought such a case, if it could, no later than late 2025 or the early weeks of 2026.
Congress certified
Thus, an investigation of alleged Had the DOJ moved expeditiously to seek this information after the current President returned to office on January 20, 2024, and within the applicable period of limitations, this Court’s analysis may well have been different. Criminal conduct of anyone that may have led to the certification of the 2020 Election in Georgia would not be a legitimate use of the Grand Jury and its subpoena power, in that no valid indictment could issue from said Grand Jury due to the expiration of the applicable statutes of limitations. The Congress of the United States met to count the certified votes of the Electoral College on January 6, 2021 (although the process was not completed until January 7, 2021, due to well-chronicled events).

the interest of protecting private, sensitive information outweighs prosecutorial interest without a legitimate purpose
no fishing
. The information sought herein (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails) is private and sensitive, so much so that should a private company fail to protect such information from electronic thieves, such company would most likely be sued in a data breach class action lawsuit. Thus, everyone, whether you support the President or you do not, or whether you believe the 2020 Election was fair or believe that it was not, should be concerned about the DOJ’s ability to utilize the power of the Grand Jury to appropriate your private information without a legitimate purpose.

illegal voting is fine when Republicans do it
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in the past two years — despite warning voters that “it is illegal to misrepresent your residence on election records.”https://www.propublica.org/article/ken-paxton-voter-registration-election-law

Despite his own warnings, Paxton appears to have used an address where he did not live while voting in six elections in the past two years, including in May’s runoff that made him the Republican nominee for U.S. senator, according to records obtained by ProPublica and The Texas Tribune.
State Sen. Angela Paxton (https://directory.texastribune.org/angela-paxton/) said in a 2025 divorce filing that Paxton, whom she accused of adultery, moved out of their Collin County home a year earlier. But Paxton continues to list the home’s address in the northern Dallas suburb on his voter registration. Angela Paxton declined to be interviewed. A source close to the Paxtons said the attorney general has not moved back into the home since leaving.

The Election Assistance Commission, formerly an independent US agency, is now subject to presidential control after Trump v Slaughter
Trump just fired all four members, rendering it ineffective four months from midterm elections
In related news, the Federal Election Commission lacks a quorum this year because Trump refuses to appoint another commission. The FEC is powerless to fulfill its congressional mandate.
The EAC was created by Congress after the 2000 election to help states improve election administration without federalizing elections. Its role is mostly supportive: distributing federal election funds, maintaining the national mail voter registration form, testing and certifying voting systems, and offering best practices and guidance to state and local election officials.
Trump cannot simply install replacement EAC commissioners on his own. Commissioners must be nominated by the president and confirmed by the Senate, and no more than two can come from the same party.

hanky-panky in a form-fitting dress
The EAC has been without a quorum before. For years, vacancies rendered the agency unable to perform major parts of its work, contributing to long delays in updating voting-system guidance. The agency regained stability only after the Senate confirmed new commissioners in 2019.
Now, with the 2026 election cycle underway, the agency is again frozen — this time not because commissioners resigned or terms expired, but because the president removed all of them at once.
