Magic was a career 52% shooter to Russ' 43% (46% in February). And Magic still averaged a whole assist during his career more than Russ did in his "magical" February. Shows you how good he was.

tbf though, we don't need anyone on our team to go for 40+. sure it's nice, and people do get red hot to the point where you just try to get them the ball every time, but if we have a 40 point scorer generally something probably went wrong.
Still a great game from WB, and halfway decent(great for him these days) performance from Parker.

Their front office is second to the Cavs this season. Moving Jackson and Perkins and a 1st rounder for Waiters, Singler, Kantor, Novak, and Austine while dipping below the luxury tax and resisting the urge to trade for Lopez.
Its on Brooks, for the minutes he's been playing. We're talking about a guy that sent out a Westbrook, Jackson, Fisher, Durant and Ibaka to go against Manu, Green/Mills, Leonard, Diaw 2.0 and Tim. in a elimation game of the WCF. They had several possesions where Fisher was guarding Diaw in the block.

That was 3 years ago, I said last season. :rolleyes Like someone saying R.C didn't deserve executive of the year because he traded for and later re-signed R.J to a 4 Year, $40 million deal 3 years before won. Durant has misses 32 games and Westbrook missed 14 with a broken finger, this season, and they are 8th in the playoff race. This is the most balanced team they've ever had after all of the trades.

Are you serious? There's just a tiny difference between signing a guy to a contract that's too large and trading away a future top 2 mvp candidate for peanuts and a couple of fucking role players. Every single front office has signed a guy to a big deal who shouldn't have gotten it. How many of them have traded away an MVP?

You're missing the point of the intial point. I said this season. he brought Harden into the conversation. I agree that trading Harden was a bad idea. It looks much worse now that Martin is averaging 20 in Minnesota and Lamb, who OKC liked has been a disappointment. Toronto was much better that season than expected and they wound up with the 12th pick instead of a top 5 pick.
Essentially its Steven Adams for James Harden. Adams ceiling is an above average big man. That can start for the next decade.

Durant
Adams
Ibaka
Bench
Augustine
Waiters
Morrow
Kantor
Collison
that's a balance 10 man unit. With Westbrook playing the best ball of his career. Ibaka has stretched his range out to 3. Kantor has been excellent in the p&r, Morrow is the best shooter they had during Durant's time there. Waiters has an ability to get hot (or shoot them out of a game) Adams is a hustle player, and Singler is a jack of all trades forward who can shoot . The end of the bench has Roberson, who can defend (but can't shoot) and Novak as a 3pt specialist. Not to mention Durant has been really good (when he's played, 25.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 4 apg, 1 spg, 1bpg, 27.8 P.E.R.)
12-13
Westbrook

DJ, Waiters and Morrow are turrible, inconsistent players. Don't even know who Singer is. It's basically Westbrook, Ibaka, Durant and a bunch of bench players.
Sefolosha got a bad rep in the series against us, but he was the only guy that could play solid D in the perimeter for them, and as seen in Atlanta, he's far from done. To this day, they've not been able to replace his defensive production.
Kevin Martin is a starter in 50% of the teams in this league, can score, knows how to flop/draw fouls. Fish only played minimum minutes, and was a steady vet for them. It's a much more seasoned/rounded team than what they have right now, IMO.

Duncan set the standard for the Spurs. He trains like a maniac in the off-season to stay in shape at age 39. Parker obviously doesn't. As the highest paid player on the team, he should have some sort of obligation to at least TRY to keep up with TD.

Parker, Tiago, and few others have often played through the summer for their national teams. This previous summer I was happy TP was going to get some rest in the summer. He was looking rested and doing well until his hamstring injury.

Fairly certain that play was designed to pull Worstbrick off of Moore. If he came off, which he did right away, Gasol could hit Moore. He he stuck, Gasol could go one on one, but Thibs wanted a 2pt cushion so WB didn't go all half court continuation 3 dribbles and layup foul.

Moore says it was designed for Gasol but I don't think so. Pau never came down with the ball just tapped it back out to Moore and Moore was ready. Thibs is good at plays out of timeouts, and the Bulls didn't execute that well most of rest of the game so I think it was choreographed and Russ got caught with his hand in the cookie jar, got the old okie doke, so to speak.

No one is saying that Westbrook is a bad basketball player. He would destroy most of the league in 1 on 1. He's obviously incredibly talented and athletic.
But that doesn't mean he's a leader. Triple doubles do not leaders make. Tracy McGrady had monster numbers for a couple of years and his team never got out of the first round.
Westbrook is a high volume shooter that eviscerates ball movement, offensive flow, and team chemistry. Other guards are also starting to torch him for 30+ a night now that they realize he cares more about stats.

Spending more time on one French player than the entire rest of your supposed favorite team :lol You seem to have forgotten the object of the game. Chris Paul has never done anything. His stats and 5 bucks will get him a cup of coffee. I understand you being all excited about the Spurs. If the Clips were my team I'd be over here too. :lol

He's not going to shoot lights out because he's being asked to carry the offensive load for them right now. Defense's are focusing in on him right now, so it's going to be harder to score obviously. Yea, he's turning it over too much, no doubt. But, the #'s he's putting up are still ridiculous, and at the PG position, no less. Still really impressive.

Should work well when Durant returns.

Shooting ~45% or close to it is good considering his position and the workload he carries+the attention he draws. Can't defend 30% shooting though tbf and Im a Russ fan.

36 points on 26 shots isn't that bad, tbh, all things considered..
No system, and no other players that can create on the team..

The issue I think is that he's removing teammates from the game. Sure, OKC doesn't have a ton of talent with Abaka and Durant sitting but he still needs to involve his teammates, because he is certainly going to need them to be in rhythm come playoff time.

Even though tonight he has a terrible % tonight, if he's not shooting that much who is the 2nd offense option tbh? He was being aggressive constantly to the rim with 22 FTAs, missing 2 FTs. When was the last time TP or Leonard had close to that many FTAs. Hate him or not he has the drive to always be aggressive the entire game, and actually make his free throws. I can't say that about some of the Spurs lately. James and Harden also have more turnovers so far if you want to play that argument and westbrook is #4 in assists this season. He's averaging 30/9/9 the last 5 games.

Dude is an MVP candidate. Noone here understands just how godmode he's going. They usually harp on his fg%. :lmao how fucking outdated is that. No context what so ever. He is trying to score 40 every night. Have over half the team assist and try to rebound like a pf from the PG position all while harassing on defense. :lmao fuck all these losers who don't know basketball.

Of course, but being saved by the zebras doesnt count as great playing, Harden & Westcunt in the 80s= What kind of hamburger would you like sir?
When Spurs are aggressive like the Knicks game they get all kind of attacks under the rim but whistles are nowhere to be found.

He does attack the rim a ton also. He is so hyper aggressive. Don't try to discredit his talent because he likes to get calls and even then it evens out because he does turn it over when he doesn't get some calls.

He does but there are whistles for him Lebron Durant Wade and Harden who in a perfect world with fair game would be choking and losing hundreds of games that this stupid dimension prefers to change to favor them.

Sure is, but he also got to the line 22 times. Plus I have no problem with him volume shooting when KD and Ibaka are both out, and he did get 10 dimes. I mean, Dion Waiters got 14 shots? (4-14, btw, no freebies). It's amazing they're winning games at all.
I think he is a fantastic athlete.

He would do that if he has the brain of a chimp. Due to the new TV deal, a max contract in two seasons will be substantially higher than any time before. That's why there's a lot of chatter of free agents this summer opting to sign just for one year.

your ur plan is nice and all if he stays healthy... If he blows a knee which has a good probability to happen your / his plan go to the toilet. I'm a financial guy so by definition risk adverse so for me resigning asap would be a good choice other alternative I have the brain of a chimp which is also a possibility
