We were at the game this morning and watched as Mills scored 24 and Baynes added 16 for Australia. How do I upload photos from my computer? All I find is an option to include a url link. Thanks! The photos you can actually upload have to very small. Much better to post them somewhere else and then use the link which give you pretty much unlimited space.

Campazo, Ginobili needs to relentlsy attack the PG and Center...its their main weakness.

Defensively, they can not allow the US tl have any semblance of ball movement. Let Kyrie and Melo hog the ball...both are very prone to iso ball. Live with the result. Stay on your man. Do not help of Kyrie and Melo has the ball.

The place filled up slowly.

One problem is that the 11:00 game was supposed to be the USA vs. Argentina, not Australia and Lithuania. So I'm sure that kept some people away. We were certainly disappointed as when we bought our tickets we had the winner of group A. I heard that NBC asked them to change the USA game to a later time slot.

So tough luck to those of us who had tickets to the 11 AM game. I never knew that they could switch things around like that. But we had fun anyway.

Win or lose, much respect to Manu and his Golden Generation squad. They've already won for their country, they don't duck under pressure or cower like a little bitch and abandon their country because they lost like one certain bitch-made soccer player who'd rather play for a Barcelona team full of All-Stars.

Agreed. Kawhi and Danny are already elite 3-point shooters, if Parker becomes a real threat from deep the Aldridge/Pau high-low game becomes absolutely deadly.

USA is going to beat Argentina. I'm rooting for USA, but I do hope the Spurs players on Argentina do well. And it's okay if Argentina gets blown out of the gym. I'm sure they'll have fun either way and they already are the most decorated international team after the USA for the last 10+ years so no reason to hang their head low.

Manu strikes me as one to get emotional in the Spurs farewell tour.

I don't mind it, I just hope it isn't an all year thing. Obviously everyone can't just back out like Tim and skip the attention whore tour, but just be decent about it. A player retiring not named Tim Duncan shouldn't overshadow an entire season of basketball.

"A Hall of Fame player. A Hall of Fame competitor. And as fierce a competitor that as a coach I've had to face in my entire time in international basketball," Krzyzewski said. "Really, there's been nobody completely like him. He plays all positions. And with the heart and commitment that he's had for his country, no one could have represented his country at a higher level or better than Manu Ginobili. ... Ultimate respect from all of us."

Ginobili, 39 won't play in the Olympics again, and after the final horn sounded, U.S. forward Carmelo Anthony wrapped his arms around a player who beat him in his first Olympics but also a man he has grown to respect.

"I know what he means not just to basketball in Argentina but to the country as a whole," said Anthony, a four-time Olympian. "He's put in a lot of work, and he has represented them in a great fashion. He's put that country on his back over the years, and I just told him, 'Thank you,' especially for me playing against him over the past four Olympics. I just wanted to say, 'Thank you.'"

By the time Argentina head coach Sergio Hernandez took him out of the gamem a section of the Carioca Arena 1 crowd gave the 2004 Olympic gold medalist a standing ovation. Players on the USA bench joined the spectators in paying tribute to Ginobili.

One of those players was recently crowned NBA champion Kyrie Irving.

The Cleveland Cavaliers guard explained to FIBA.com the reason behind his gesture for the Argentine icon.

"He has offered so much, not only to the NBA but to the global game," the 24-year said. "I just appreciate his talent. Just him being a championship winner and a lot of kids want to envy that. Not just in Argentina but worldwide. Watching his game, watching him for years even before I got to the NBA, it's just a lot of respect and a lot of love for what he's given to the game of basketball. "

RIO DE JANEIRO -- Mike Krzyzewski can still picture the whole scene. It's one of his favorite stories to recount from his time in international basketball, how he looked back over his shoulder in his first Olympics as Team USA head coach to get a handle on all the commotion behind him before a semifinal game in Beijing.

"In the tunnel, not in the view of any spectators, was the Argentina team," Krzyzewski said, "dancing together and showing spirit.

"It was beautiful. And that's how they competed."

"I love them," Coach K concluded.

"First of all, we beat an outstanding ... not just a team," Krzyzewski said. "They're what I call a program. An amazing culture.

"Congratulations to Argentina and the magnificence they've shown the world for the last almost two decades."

This was a night to pay tribute to Ginobili, Scola, Andres Nocioni and Carlos Delfino.

The last four holdovers from the seminal 2004 Argentina squad that, after failing to qualify for Sydney in 2000, stunned Team USA in the semifinals and somehow won the gold medal in their first try together.

"Truly amazing," said Kryzewski, who will never forget the achievement because he otherwise might never have had this job.

So both Krzyzewski and Team USA veteran Carmelo Anthony, who was just a 20-year-old on the roster in 2004, made sure not to leave the floor without letting Ginobili, now 39, know how honored they were to scrap with the Argentines for all these years.

"I'm not going to say the exact words [they told me]," Ginobili said. "They were just very cool and important displays of affection and respect."

USA/Argentina, in similar fashion to Spain's 92-67 cruise, was realistically over as a contest in the third quarter, but the Argentina fans serenaded their heroes with song and dance and chants for the entire fourth, paying tribute to the Class of '04 in the only manner they knew how.

Several of the Americans on the court had a similar takeaway, transfixed by an atmosphere they had never experienced.

"I love it, man," Anthony said. "There's nothing like being in front of Brazilians and Argentinians at the same time."

Said teammate Paul George: "This was amazing. We couldn't understand what they were saying, but the environment was just amazing. I'm happy they sent Scola and Manu off on a great note."

And well deserved, but he won't say ahead of time that he's retiring from the Spurs, precisely to avoid the distraction. (I seem to remember an interview he gave the last time Spurs played the Lakers and they asked him about the Kobe retirement tour, and he said something to the effect that it was fine for Kobe, given the circumstances of the franchise, but that it wouldn't be appropriate for the Spurs and what the team was trying to accomplish for the season to have a farewell tour because it is a distraction for everyone else).

He likely goes into the summer same as he has the past couple of seasons, with that uncertainty. But this emotional farewell from international competition seems to have started a closure chapter for Manu. If feels very different from Tony, who also said farewell to international competition by the way. For the french fans, Brazil and crew, bittersweet too, I imagine, but it doesn't have the same aura of finality that Manu has and it's not my attachment to either player. I admire both as HoF Spurs, it just Manu's feels different bc it's closer to the real end to his career.

This is the true. We might assume right that he is on his last year, he just retired from NT, because is logical, the next international tournament is 3 years ahead, so he is saying "i am not going to play 3 more years". But he has not retired from the Spurs yet.

That would be pretty darn awesome. He's left-handed, so he's right-brained, which is probably why he's so outside the box, but has been under one of the greatest semi-orthodox coaches in history for almost a decade and a half...
Sounds like a great combination for either a tremendous, legendary coach, or a flameout of sizeable proportions.
As always with coaches, it will depend on his talent at hand.

I would love to see him go for it.

I read somewhere that the exceptional talents are not necessarily good coaches, bc they have to be able to deal with guys and coach guys from the basics up, who have much less talent than they had as a player and that is not an easy transition... or something of that nature. I bet he'd want to check himself in the game to fix things up. :lol

For me it's about tone - particularly in e-mails. I am conscious of how e-mails can come off, especially from someone in my position (which is usually the person having to direct traffic). So I tend to do it to soften the message some, but it shocks me when I re-read my e-mails how often I slide it in there.

For example - when I have asked for something and that person has not done it yet (and it was stated when to be done and agreed to as reasonable time to accomplish the task).

I will say: "Just following up to see how things are progressing, etc.." Vs "Following up to see how things are progressing"

The more you think about it and are conscious of it, the stranger it seems to me.

Especially for a male. We can already been seen as aggressive sometimes (right or wrong) so I feel it does soften things - but don't want to go to far so I get what that article was probably saying.

However, for me, it's a line between being professional and relationships. My field requires you to build relationships and cater sometimes to feelings, so I don't mind coming across as more casual (since that is my intent).

This is true. I am an attorney and have an aggressive bull dog style in the court room which is pretty much contrary to my personality off the clock. The aggressive nature of my professional style has carried over into my personal life on how people generally perceive me. I get the "he is an asshole or dick" alot because of it. Playing a washed up Fernandez :lol

Props to Spain though, they played a much slower pace than Delusional Argentina. I can't believe Argentina played at such a high pace against the US...Freaking retards.

Really Hoping Australia wins because Serbia will play the only game they know, try to out offense the opposition..Not going to work against the USA

Yeah, that killed them in the group stage. Melo had three wide open three's with baynes on him...:lol

Really hoping the coach doesn't go cute with the minutes any play Ingels, Mills, Delly, Bogut 34+ minutes with Anderson and Baynes playing around 25 minutes.

The talent level drops of significantly when these guys aren't on the floor.

Anderson should start & matchup w/ Melo while Baynes bangs w/ Cousins.

Also nice to see Pau Willing to take those threes...But I doubt it would be used to an extent that Defenses will guard him.

Pau should give Kawhi more room to operate though. TD and Kawhi PnR...100% resulted in a pass to TD because he always gets doubled.

With Pau and lamarcus both being legit midrange threats, should give him more space.

Kawhi should just freeze out Lamarcus now that he's going to run most of the PnR..Gasol is a much better partner in the PnR,,because he rolls and pops and pass..

Apo while i do agree what argentina did to USA was delusional, because we were never going to win that way. You have to understand that with argentina lack of size and athletism, it would have been really hard to score on the US in half court sets.
I do agree that Argentina bench played at a ridiculous fast peace unnecesary, but considering Coach K used a lot of defensive players against us there wasnīt really much argentina would have accomplished in a half court set.

Really, there is not much to analyze, Argentina knew that their only chance was to run them and make them hurry on offense because of the peace happy game. It worked for 6 minutes. We lost, we accept it and move on.

These Olimpcis will be important for the future of our next basketball generation, we gotta build on that, and Manu and Co. retire from FIBA basketball as the only other country with a gold medal not named USA.

Pop NEVER let Kawhi/LMA run PnRs so Kawhi partnering w/ Pau has no implications on LMA's post touches or two-man game w/ Porker. If anything, I just hope the addition of Pau will prevent Danny from trying to dribble drive.:lol

I can't believe this team is stuck with a Diva like Lamarcus. Hoping his minutes go down from 30 to 28.

In the Words of Zach hoe...Kawhi doesn't really have an elite tier star playing with him...Maybe Lamarcus..Not really.

I donīt think anyone should play the pick and roll with LaMarcus because the guy just donīt know how to set a hard screen.

This is a great asset that Gasol brings, he really knows how to put screens.

But in reallity, Manu and Parker are the ones that will use Gasol the most.

Lamarcus doesnt know how to set hard screens because he's looking for the pass. A hard screen result in a perimter playing getting a good shoot. A weak fade results in a pass to him. He's a selfish dude.

Porker was milking the two-man game w/ LMA when LMA was torching OKC.:lol

Manure has David Lee on the bench who is probably the best "roll man" on the team.

I'm really surprised by the lack of minutes George and Butelr are getting in this tournament. Klay can barely dribble the basketball..:lol

I can't imagine George or Butler being eay worse with the three in such a shorter line.

This Coach K nigga is lucky the talent level is extrmely in their favour otherwise, they wouldbt even get past the group stage.

Yeah he's been awful but George has been a plus. I'm not sure why coach K is so stubboron with a traditional SG.

Lowry-George-Durant-Melo-Deandre getting the most minutes isnthe way to go, imo.

Last time I checked they had just 1 gold. What chances for gold do they have left? Soccer, volleyball, and what else?

They have 5 gold, 5 silver and 5 bronze.
