Towns is a beta bitch, Favors would fare better at the moment. Chris Paul ain't guarding centers in the post.

You are not getting it. The center posting up midgets could get 30 and the Rockets would still be content to let the other team keep posting up.

I was gonna post something similar but ot sounded racist as i started typing it but its true. Happened to me once in HS and the thugs on my team wanted to fight them sooo bad. i was pissed too but only wanted to fight when provoked ...sometimes you gotta take that L. It sux but it happens ...they backdoored us to death ...cuz only me and the PGs had hogh bballIQs the frontcourt was all hops speed and height with little skills.

I have to play like that nowadays against these young 16-21 year olds at my gym, tbh..I'm getting old, might have to get back on some test and anavar:lol

I expected them to do it last Summer..I hate coaches masquerading as GMs, we'll see if Thibs is competent enough to move him..even with the max deal, I'm sure there will be a few teams that still believe he could be a star..
Teague should be the other guy they get rid of too, though that'll prove to be harder with 2 years left.

ABC and TNT aren't looking at a worse case scenario but this year totally sucks for them. No New York, LA or Chicago for starters, possibly for only the second (first?) time since anyone gave a damn about the NBA. Philadelphia is good but not a power and in the playoffs for the first time in years. The best regular season team is from a big market but not sexy. LeBron may not get out of the first round and maybe Boston either. They're in a no-win situation between Toronto and Washington. It's not like the Wiz have been great and while from a large market, aren't a big national draw and aren't even that good. The Raptors fanbase is tiny in the US, where they draw their ratings. And New Orleans just swept a series against another small market team. Utah looks like they're gonna take out a big star from OKC, yet another tiny market. Nothing short of epic series' in the WCF between the Rockets and Warriors and the winner against whoever in the Finals can overcome this.

Caltex2
04-24-2018, 04:39 AM
This could easily be your second round:

Rockets/Jazz (unless Karl and Hakeem are coming back, forget about it being nationally sexy)
Warriors/Pelicans

Pacers/Raptors-Wizards (take your pick, at least for TV execs)
Bucks/Sixers (it's not impossible for Miami to come back)

And the lower seeded team could win each series (Steph won't be 100% when he comes back), This is where we might just see some game fixing to generate TV interest.

Dumbass argument :lol

Not dumb at all. His 5 losses is a major reason why he's not considered unanimous GOAT in many fans eyes. He has the stats (30K points, 8K rebs, 8K assts) that no one else has including Jordan. Jordan's rangs are the ultimate neuttalizer... and so are Kobe's.

If he ends up 3-8 in the Finals, only winning with stacked class of 2003 and untimely suspensions to Dr. Dray/Bogut - is he still your GOAT? 3-8 is PATHETIC.

Rubio went 1-5 (6 points) looks good on the surface. Chucky "shut that shit down" like he said he would. But not in the team concept. He put his personal goals (like his triple doubles) above the team's, amassing 4 first half fouls. He was not his aggressive self after that and Jazz took full advantage.

Last night, in a nutshell is why KD left. On paper, OKC should sweep them, but alas, they are down 1-3. Cool with me. If they lose this jersey, the Lakers pro shop should start selling PG13 jerseys that night. :lol

what?!
I am familliar with that Twitter the guys name is Pete and he went from a respected LG poster like say Jamstone or DPG when he is not getting emotional, to a guy that the NBA was blocking his use of film for video breakdowns, geeting that back, to now having a media credential asking Luke and Kuzma questions on live TV in the post game pressor along with Plashke, Jim Hill etc.

Im not this dude agent but i highly doubt anyone but the top 1% of posters on here, could do what he has done in a big media market. If you live local to DFW he has become a Lakers version of ben and skin but did it via social media instead of radio and started just posting well thought out messages on LG. Just because you disagree and or love Westbrook doesnt mean he should be questioned...

And again i love Russ (Go Bruins!) but paying a 30 plus year old PG 40 million after two knee surgeries who plays as hard as he does every night and relies on speed and hops, Pete is right to question that.

No doubt did not mean to rant ...and i know we have fun here ..but all jokes aside i respect the hell out of the time and energy he put in to the sport/team he loves ...to see it pay off is great.

Feel the same about Eric Pincus and Larry Coon ...but Pete's ascencion was more grassroots. Those guys always felt to me, like media who took time to connect with Lakerfans on LG.
Pete was a high level but common poster who has built a career from there. Impressive stuff.

I still like Milwaukee, but Giannis needs to rise to the occasion. He needs to have a signature playoff performance.

Totally dumb. DK wouldn't have won nearly as many rangs if he wasn't playing in the Plumber Era. And he was on the Plumber Era's equivalent of the modern-day Warriors. And he ducked Hakeem like Manny ducked Floyd in his prime.

Unless they go up 3-0 in the conference finals, should they get that far, how can it be a disappointment? They're playing with house money.

Unless they go up at least two games in the conference finals, should they get that far, how can it be a disappointment? They're playing with house money. And even if they did blow a 3-1 lead, they weren't expected to be this good so soon.

I suppose for them it's already a good year, and they can look forward to a bright future. Looking at the landscape right now, they should make the finals. They're the most complete team.

Caltex2
04-25-2018, 02:58 AM
The Raptors have more experience, the Celtics have better coaching, the Bucks are only slightly worse and the Cavs have the best player in the East and perhaps the best currently healthy player in the NBA. It'll be hard for them to make the Finals. Even the Wizards would be hard because they have some players back from injury and if they advance it'll mean they presumably will have beaten the Raps and Cavs.

Arcadian
04-25-2018, 03:52 AM
They're the hottest team right now. First to advance in the east, while everyone else is in a tight series. And they ended the RS on a long streak.

Nobody else out east really looks good right now. I actually picked Toronto to make the finals in my bracket, but I'm pretty sure that was the wrong choice. Embiid would rape and pillage their bigs. Derozan does look really good this year, but he's the only guy they can rely on.
