And the legal standard is preponderance of evidence. But that's just on fraud.Nevada and Arizona courts have both found that challenges haven't met that standard, neither for fraud or nor for irregularities.
Would you like to read the decisions?

I'm aware of the spineless judges in the system. I'm also aware of The Big Five.In a courtroom they have standards of proof. Trump & Co. haven't met that standard in any case yet, for any allegation. The problem for Trump isn't the judges, it's that he has no good case.

Rudy Giuliani: Michigan Judge Orders Forensic Audit of 22 Dominion Voting Machines
Arizona Legislature 'cannot and will not' overturn election, Republican House speaker says (https://eu.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/12/05/arizona-republican-speaker-house-rejects-calls-overturn-election-rusty-bowers/3839579001/)
"As a conservative Republican, I don’t like the results of the presidential election," Bowers said in a prepared statement. "I voted for President Trump and worked hard to reelect him. But I cannot and will not entertain a suggestion that we violate current law to change the outcome of a certified election."
"I believe that (Ducey) signed a fraudulent document. And he knew it! I’m requesting we recall Arizona’s certification," Finchem said on Twitter Friday morning. Later in the day, he cited a portion of the U.S. Constitution that he claims allows the Legislature to choose a state's slate of electors.
What Finchem and his cohorts are asking is essentially impossible, though it is garnering substantial attention. Finchem gained more than 5,000 new Twitter followers in the hours following his post.
Why a change in electors isn't possible
The lawmakers may have received support from like-minded people online, but not from fellow lawmakers, which is a problem for their plan.
The Legislature would need to change the law to alter how Arizona chooses its state electors. And the Legislature is not in session after voting to adjourn in May.
The Legislature cannot convene on its own without support from two-thirds of the members in each chamber. That means Democrats would have to agree, which is unlikely. Republicans have narrow majorities – 31-29 in the House and 17-13 in the Senate.
The governor could call a special session, but any change in law would require a supermajority of lawmakers to take effect immediately rather than in a few months – meaning several more Republicans than Finchem and Townsend plus some Democrats would need to agree.
Bowers echoed a recent opinion from lawyers at the Legislature that said even if lawmakers wanted to alter how Arizona chooses electors, such changes could not apply to this election because voters already have selected electors at the ballot box.

Time's a wasting. No challenge unresolved by Dec.8 will affect the Electoral College. Even should DJT be awarded Georgia's electors, that would not change the EC result.

Defund the police definitely made it worse, but Imo the cause of that is Democrats having horrific messaging on the economy. Republican presidents have been disasters for the economy for the last 30 years.

Trump is absolutely certifiable. This whole schtick is figuratively pouring gasoline all over the country with a box of matches in his pocket. Lmao he keeps “almost” starting to talk about the senatorial race... only to circle back around about how rigged the presidential race was. He did just say that the last three weeks he’s worked harder than he ever has, fighting the voting fraud... uhhhhhhh I guess while he’s been golfing or sulking in his bunker. This dude is cra-azy.
But the most fucked up thing is this fucking rally is packed with thousands of people, packed shoulder to shoulder, loving him, egging on his claims, devotingly screaming in agreement. Seriously. What the motherfucking fuck? As ridiculous as this past month of Trump’s hiding and non-conceding and bitching and moaning and sulking and crying... his loyal faithful is... still loyal, still faithful. I mean, holy fucking shit.
Trump is a completely deranged lunatic. I think his supporters are even worse.

Problem for republicans is that they do not seemingly have a credible spokesperson/attorney making a salient case to public - regardless of what is being found.
It's the other way around, tbh... they have spokesperson/attorney making a salient case to public, but what is "found" will not survive scrutiny by a court of law.

The only constitutionaly set date in the election process is January 20th.
All other dates are set by federal law and are arbitrary, founded on obsolete concerns such as the slowness of horse travel 200 years ago.
Experts believe that the basis for these dates was to provide enough time to affect the presidential transition of power, a concern which is fully obsolete in the age of internet and air travel.
The only Electoral college deadline specifically required by the Constitution is noon on January 20th when Trump's first term officially ends.
All other deadlines including the "safe harbor" deadline of December 8th, the Electoral College voting on December 14th, and even the Congressional vote count on January 6th - are dates set by federal law.
It is well established that the U.S. Constitution is the highest law in the land, holding precedence over both state and federal laws.
In the event that federal law presents an obstacle to faithfully adhering to constitutional requirements, it is necessary to disregard the statute in favor of the plain meaning of the Constitution.
The so-called "safe harbor" provision in federal law (3 USC 5) simply asserts that if a state has established laws governing the appointment of Electors, and a determination made according to that law has been made at least six days prior to December 14th, then that determination is final on December 8th. SCOTUS has ruled that the law does not actually require states to appoint Electors by that date in order for those Electoral Votes to be counted by Congress when determining the winner of a presidential election.
In the current context, states have laws in place awarding presidential Electors according to the popular vote. Because the laws governing the vote were violated in numerous ways in several key states, certification of the election results cannot be said to have been made in accordance with the laws established in those states. Therefore, the resposibility still rests with state legislatures to appoint their state's Electors, because no "determination made pursuant to such law" has actually been made.
There is significant flexibility and precedent in U.S. law for changing the date that electors are appointed, changing the date electors convene to vote, and changing the date electors have their vote certified by Congress.
The investigation into fraud will be rigorous and will continue whether or not the Electoral College vote is held December 14th.
The deadlines for the seating of electors and their voting is not necessary for the effective transition of power. These deadlines were created for the convenience of travel, just as election day was placed uniformly on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November to allow farmers to complete the full harvest prior to voting.
These dates have nothing to do with the transition of power and are largely not relevant to a time when electors do not have to ride horses to Washington, D.C. to vote. Accordingly, these dates should not interfere with state legislatures effectively investigating the management of the election, especially when we experience unprecedented manipulation of election rules calling into question hundreds of thousands of ballots.
The Constitution makes clear that the responsibilty rests with state legislatures to appoint Electors. This should be done as expeditiously as possible, but the only deadline state lawmakers have an obligation to meet is the one set forth in the Constitution - noon on January 20th, 2021.

Talk about a word salad, and a number of omissions.
First thing omitted is that the opportunity for legal electoral contests as plastered in 3 USC 5 expire on that date (Dec 8th).
So while legislatures can certainly "investigate" whatever they want post-facto, the candidates (in this case Trump) can't keep filing frivolous lawsuits (I mean, he can, but the safe harbor date precludes, by law, the contest of the election result, which makes them moot).
Then there's the "there is significant flexibility and precedent in U.S. law for changing the date that electors are appointed, changing the date electors convene to vote, and changing the date electors have their vote certified by Congress.". Sure, but the dates are already set this year, votes are certified, electors are appointed, so there's no apparent reason, at least yet, to delay that vote. It would make sense in a situation like Bush vs Gore, where a recount was ongoing, and elections were not certified, but that's not the case here.
Then it claims "the responsibilty rests with state legislatures to appoint Electors". Well, yes, but it omits something else which is very important. State electoral law, voted by the state legislatures, determine how electors are appointed and under what criteria.
This is important because it means state legislatures would need to reconvene and vote on a new electoral law that does away with the previous one and appoints these electors. It also brings into question whether the governor can veto, considering that's certainly an authority held by the governor when it comes to state laws.
But it won't get anywhere near close to that, no legislature so far has shown the inclination of doing anything remotely like that (rightly so, it's political suicide), and clock's ticking. Plus this would need to happen not just in GA, but GA, PA and a third state to even come close to turning the election around.

Problem for republicans is that they do not seemingly have a credible spokesperson/attorney making a salient case to public - regardless of what is being found.
This is dumb. They don’t need to make a case to the public.
they need to make a valid case in a court of law. nothing credible has been presented to do that.
it doesn’t matter what the people that think for you tell you bout fraud, so you keep sending Trump money (and you do), it matters that they make a legitimate legal case with factual evidence. There is none. Republican governors are certifying these elections

Certainly but I'm more and more thinking that Trump still thought he could maybe, somehow overturn the result and at least give it a shot, with the same schtick he's used and worked his whole life.
They thought they could replicate 2016 by winning the opinion and bully their way into overturning the election with the help of a few rep judges and governors. The more they were losing in court, the more they were intensifying their PR and bullying (Powell's Kraken, big hearings).
But it's indeed not about convinving PEOPLE and fake news this time, but facts and real court, with people who have a bit more conscience or simply didn't want to risk their job or go in jail for him.
Crazy and unreal anyway.

Now that California doesn't have a Republican governor to veto gerrymandered districts the way it did in 2010, time for them to redistrict Nunes & McCarthy out of Congress.
