imo theres still no chance that end of the day ukraine will hold up if russia continues to press, but the more difficult it is, the more the russian people (among those who are supportive of the invasion) have to wonder if the juice is even worth the squeeze
IMO the only way Ukraine holds up is with a huge counter insurgency effort from citizens in Kyiv. The Ukrainian army has already distributed automatic weapons to 10,000 citizens, and that number needs to multiply.
