Mavs/Cavs will be an epic Finals.
Joe how you think my boys in blue matchup v the Cavs?
Just stop. You're mailing this post in. There's no magical formula that's going to make your bench not ty in the postseason. There's no magical formula that's going to bring the corpse of Derek Fisher back to life. The problems you had in the regular season are going to carry over.Honestly what the does a Cleveland fan know about winning? With all due respect, shut the up regular season champ.
And it's funny that you mention Orlando. I KNEW Orlando would be a huge problem for Cleveland in the postseason last year. Know how I knew? BECAUSE I WATCHED THE REGULAR SEASON GAMES. I knew the Cavaliers couldn't match up because I'd seen it.
And believe me, there were PLENTY of Cavaliers fans who were talking the same as you: "The playoffs are a different animal, blah blah blah." They were as right as you're going to be this year. If you weren't living in this fantasy land where the Lakers just show up and win because they're the Lakers, you'd know damn well what a piss-poor match-up Cleveland is for your team.
BTW, I know how big of a threat Orlando is this year as well. That doesn't change the fact that Cleveland matches up awfully well with L.A. And all the ring-smack in the world doesn't change that.
Mavs/Cavs will be an epic Finals.
Joe how you think my boys in blue matchup v the Cavs?
exactly. its like, ignore all the concrete proof if your team didnt win in the past then i wont listen to you.
By that logic the current Golden State team knows more about winning than the Cavs.
So right now the Golden State Warriors know more about winning than the Cleveland Cavaliers?
If only Jim Chones hadn't broken his foot prior to the 1976 ECF when I was ten months old. I'd know all about winning les.
The Lakers are nowhere near as good as the talent on the team and as hyped as they were coming into the season, they have some major flaws and while they have major talent, their team isn't built well..
However, they're going to win the West by default..there's nobody that can challenge them now that Kenyon Martin is pretty much crippled for the playoffs..
The Mavs have a puncher's chance, but I can't imagine them not going soft against LA..
None of the other teams in the West have any chance at all, they're all seriously flawed and lack the star power..
In the East, Cleveland and Orlando can beat them, but it doesn't mean anything..once the Lakers win a few series', they'll have some momentum, and anything can happen in the Finals..I'd still pick the Cavs to win it all, but the Lakers will certainly have a great chance, sadly..
In that case we're both virgins. You've contributed to as many le-winning teams as I have. What you're claiming is the equivalent of a virgin claiming he's not a virgin because he's watched a lot of porn.
wake me up when the playoffs start
The line most likely references a comment Kobe made during his infamous 2003 rape case, when he told Colorado police that he "Should have done what Shaq does ... Shaq would pay his women not to say anything."![]()
You basically agreed that the defending champs will be the Eastern Powerhouse' come June. Come on Luva, are you really dipping this low.
Bologna. If only people could spell
STFU Welcher boy!
I love this! The Lakers lose a few and they are washed up. Forget that they have the best record in the west and 2nd best overall. Forget that the Cav's play in the weak ass east and if you put a strength of schedule factor into play the Lakers would get the home court. Doesn't matter.
The Lakers are going to be just fine if Drew gets back. If not.. it will be an uphill struggle. It changes everything. Yes Fisher is a huge liability. He gets beat often. When Drew is still back there, the guards still have to make a play and he alters shots. With no Drew, it's a layup or dish for a dunk. With that said, Drew being out depletes the bench. It takes Odom off the 2nd unit. Don't laugh, Walton being out hurts the bench as well. So Drew comes back and the starters get that much tougher, Odom goes back to the 2nd unit, and Walton returns to move the ball with that unit.
Lakers are going to be fine and anybody who is writing them off is in for a rude awakening. I like our chances!
Joe dropping the knowledge on these post year 2000/Gasol trade Laker homer morons.
Since when do you need to be a "fan" of a championship team to understand the game of basketball?
From reading Joe's various posts, he's probably forgotten more about the NBA than many of the Laker fans on this board who only watch the NBA when the Lakers are winning. Otherwise they have no interest in the NBA and would prefer to watch The Hills or Jersey Shore over a game that doesn't involve the Purple 'N Piss capturing the W.
yup, the media is just cooking up some drama so the west can look compe ive. in reality, the lakers will steam through and make it to the finals fairly easily. the same media said the lakers were lazy and unmotivated last year and, with the help of multiple key injuries, the lakers made it to the finals and won.
Frontrunning like a true Laker homer.
My guess is that if the Lakers were competing for an 8 seed or missing the playoffs all together, you'd be nowhere near a basketball message board.
Oh, don't really have to guess.
When did you sign up on this board, again?
reg date smack lol
That's the best Spurs fan can muster these days.![]()

crofl ANDREA GLASSNUM
But they aren't and he is. Keep guessing!
Why do the majority of Laker homers (yourself included) frontrun?
Honest question.
You guys were DB Cooper from 05-07 and after that beatdown from the Celtics. But once you won the le, you've descended on all NBA message boards like a horde of locusts.
Guess it's Yankee season if the Lakers aren't doing .
Quoted for embarassment in the very very near future.
Quoted for embarassment right now! Friggen Moron can't even keep his OBSESSION in order!![]()

Unfortunately, the Lakers are still the team to beat in the West.
Key for the Lakers is getting Bynum back and healthy. Walton will be a big help for the 2nd unit as well. Team is looking shaky at best but I have faith they will come through. Well see. I still want the Suns!!!![]()
