Something Buck does (or that he gets blamed for) looks to be the catalyst, but what causes the friction is MCU's version of the registration act - the government wanting to identify and keep tabs on all "enhanced" people. Stark and his crew are pro registration, Cap is against.

The studio has also confirmed that audiences will soon be able to see the new Captain America: Civil War trailer on the big screen in front of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. What isn't clear here is the record Marvel is referring to. After all, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer received 112 million views in 24 hours, so it could be that they're only talking about the superhero genre. Either way, this is an impressive feat, albeit one we may see topped if a new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer tonight. What do you think?

The first of many scoops from Empire’s cover story on Captain America: Civil War is in regards to mystery character that Martin Freeman will be playing. There were already rumors and speculation that The Hobbit star would be playing Everett Ross in the Marvel threequel, but now the magazine has confirmed it as well as revealed a new Civil War still image featuring the character alongside Emily VanCamp’s Agent 13 aka Sharon Carter. According to Empire, Ross will be a part of the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre in the movie.

Considering the character has ties to the Black Panther in the comics, we should expect Martin Freeman to join Chadwick Boseman to the African Prince’s solo movie in 2018. In fact, this was implied by the Marvel Studios president himself, Kevin Feige

Given everything we've heard so far about Captain America: Civil War, it's probably safe to assume that Marvel is very happy with how the film turned out. According to the site, these guys liked the movie... a lot. Word is that it's very much a Captain America story despite the massive amount of superhero support, and the focus stays firmly on Rogers and Bucky. Spidey and Black Panther are also mentioned in a very positive light.

We've heard rumors of some pretty devastating stuff going down in the final act of this film, so that "emotional horror movie" stuff would seem to back that up.

Obviously this is all a little vague, and it's probably best not to put too much stock in a second-hand report until we learn more - but it's always hard not to get just a tad excited when such positive early word on a big CBM comes our way.

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.
