Is it too late to bring De Colo back?

Yes. He doesn't belong to the Spurs anymore and I really doubt that the Spurs would pay to take a chance on him again when he pretty much asked to leave.

I don't even think that he plays ever again in the NBA. He wants a bigger role in the NBA but lacks the athleticism to have a major role. He won't leave Europe as a star to be a mediocre bench player in the NBA.

Its kind of sad to see us win with the brand of ball we do. It's bad basketball. A lot of my turn your turn, one on one play, etc. I guess watching the "beautiful game" really changed me. I don't like when someone wins playing bad ball just because they have more talent. It's like bullying. The defense is good though. A lot of pressure and Coack K will make sure his guys are fresh.

I mean, I have always loved watching ARG national team. Outside of SA, they really have been one of the most memorable teams since I have watched basketball.

But the fact they have this same group out there today is ridiculous. It's not even fair to the players (despite the fact they like being together) that they still have the same core so many years later.

But the fact they have this same group out there today is ridiculous. It's not even fair to the players (despite the fact they like being together) that they still have the same core so many years later.

There's actually a couple of promising kids... just too young right now... this is basically a glorified retirement tour...

I'm especially happy to see Delfino out there. He's a guy that hasn't played in 3 years due to a foot injury, like 5 surgeries, etc and fought really hard to be back on a basketball court.

I mean, let's be realistic, Argentina was never very good at basketball before this generation in the prior 50+ years. Odds are we're going to drop into obscurity again. It's good to see these guys together one more time, even if it's just nostalgia.

It certainly seems like this is a different Durant than we've been seeing...found this interesting bit: "Kevin Durant rolled down the blue protective compression sleeve on his left leg and slipped it off to reveal his latest, and most easily visible, tattoo. The face of late rapper Tupac Shakur covered the left side of Durant’s lower leg, and the plastic healing wrap covering the image signaled that the ink had been applied right before he began practicing with the U.S. men’s Olympic team last week in Las Vegas."

He really wants to do the trip to the NBA, probably like Prigioni will have to work and wait a lot, but i see him more NBA ready than Prigioni at his age, if he just builds a bit of muscle he already has the speed to compete at that level.

The guy that has surprised me has been Nocioni, he has shown even more range than before, a much faster footwork in the post and most importantly a great defense. Prigs is not small for NBA standars, 6´3 is about average for the PG position. 5´10 is indeed small, but smaller players have suceeded in todays nba, Isaiah Thomas and Nate Robinson are listed 5´9.

Those teams all have had a pretty good generation of players that have won (except for France, the other two have beat Team USA once or more in their heyday), but they all also have some youngsters they're transitioning to. Don't forget FIBA basketball is also a 10 min/quarter game, and this whole competition is probably 10 games max if you go all the way. So in a way it favors vet talent somewhat. You don't really have to sustain high intensity for long.

Reuters reported (http://www.reuters.com/article/us-olympics-rio-superbacteria-exclusive-idUSKCN0YW2E8) that scientists had found drug-resistant “super-bacteria” in Lagoa, as well as off Copacabana beach, where Olympic marathon and triathlon swimmers will compete. The super-bacteria could cause “urinary, gastrointestinal, pulmonary and bloodstream infections, along with meningitis,” Reuters wrote, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it contributes to death for up to half of all patients infected.

He looks very chunky in that pic.

And nocioni's head looks lop sided and deformed.

And the one on the backrow behind delfino looks like that white correctional officer in orange is the new black who makes that white girl tweaker act like a duck and then rapes her.

Man they just said there is a statue of Manu in Argentina. Did not know that and just googled it, that's pretty sweet! There probably would be one of Timmy in San Antonio but they know Tim would tear it down with one of his customized trucks lol

No way that fat Argie makes the roster tbh...

Gasol/Dedmon/???
Aldridge/Lee/Jean-Charles
Leonard/Bertans/Anderson
Green/Ginobili/Simmoms
Parker/Mills/Murray

Maybe that is for the 2020 Olympics? Cause isn't Pop supposed to be coaching Team USA soon? But Coach K is coaching these Olympics. Might be 2020 that we see our guys at the Olympics.

Forbes is a better shooter, but will have trouble getting open looks because of his size. His defense will also be a problem.

Garino is not bad of an option for #15. You get that defensive toughness and a decent threat in the 3. Spurs just need to unclog that lane and having another big that doesn't know how to pass isn't going to help.

Just checked and Pop is Team USA coach for the 2020 games. Suppose we'll see about Kawhi and maybe LMA, anything can happen.

He sucks tbh, I really hope we don't keep him because of his other countrymen....

i think Bertans will win over the backup 3 spot this season so having Garino on the roster would be a waste IMO. We need a big man just in case one of our bigs get an injury. We're really slim in depth when it comes to our bigs.

LMA pulled out to rehab his hand. Kawhi declined to rest and work on his game, as well as due to the Zika scare and his newborn daughter.

cheers for the info mate. Maybe Kawhi can get there in 2020, LMA might be borderline too old by then and may wanna rest up for the NBA season

Mills shot on very early and FRA really struggling on offense. Spacing is off, movement is awkward and a lot of TOs.
