Yeah thats one where the special teams coaches say to the returners knock the damn thing down, we take over way back up field.
I think it becomes confusing because you are expecting punt, so players might become confused as to how to field it (like if you were not looking you might think, bad punt)
I think the confusion of "fielding it" is part of the strategy. If the punt returners dont aggressively attempt to knock it down its not good.

This is where you get the best pitcher on the softball to throw it up while kicking her leg.

They haven't won a true road game since October 16, 2021 against Missouri.

I've been thinking about that this morning since they'll need at least two more teams (total of eight) in order to be considered an FBS conference in 2026.
