I dont think thats how most of the polls "work" but its hard to disagree with.
It does not look like 2 losses are " allowed" at this point.

I don’t expect Ewers backed by Manning every play off year, that’s rare. I guess I want as many games as possible to be meaningful.
Like I would love 10 conference games. And two out of conf. It won’t happen. If they are going to have conf championship games I would like the loser out of the playoffs. That kind of thing. If the “superior” confs are going to play superior teams, I still want some sort of consequences for losing.
