US officials believe ‘total victory’ over Hamas unrealistic: Report
The administration of US President Joe Biden reportedly does not believe that Israel’s stated strategy of pursuing “total” victory over Hamas in Gaza is feasible.

“Sometimes when we listen closely to Israeli leaders, they talked about mostly the idea of some sort of sweeping victory on the battlefield, total victory,” said Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell, according to US news outlet Politico.

Helicopter carrying Iranian President Raisi crashes, local media reports

A helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi crashed while visiting a northern region and his condition is currently unknown, Iranian state news agency IRNA reported Sunday.

Lebanon, even though it has a flag and even though it has political institutions does not meet the definition of a country.

Once Palestinians are removed from the West Bank there will basically be very few Israeli Arabs and thus the vote in a still democratic Israel will come almost entirely from the Jewish population.
This is very clear. The West Bank has a dense population of Israeli citizens, many of which are Arab.

I know you know there are Arab people who are Israeli citizens and can vote and are supposed to have their rights protected by the Israeli government. They are citizens. There are Jewish lawyers who help many of them. But it is obviously very difficult. This is part of the reason Benji wanted to just get rid of the Israeli Judicial branch of government.

An unspecified number of troops in the US have been put on prepare to deploy orders, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said on Monday.

“Secretary Austin increased the readiness of additional US forces to deploy, elevating our preparedness to respond to various contingencies,” she said. “I’m just not going to get into specifics for [operational security] reasons, but these forces cover a wide range of capabilities and missions.”

Singh also said that additional air defense support going to the region, announced by the Pentagon on Sunday, are units previously scheduled to deploy that will now be joining units already there instead of replacing them.

The reinforcement of air support capabilities, she said, includes “a certain number of units already deployed to the Middle East region that will be extended, and the forces due to rotate into theater to replace them will now instead augment the in-place forces already in the region.” It will include “an additional few thousand” service members in the region, she said.

“I can tell you these augmented forces include F-16, F-15E, A-10, F-22 fighter aircraft and associated personnel,” Singh said.
