What's happening in Jerusalem and the West Bank is underemphasized. Armed settlers are stealing people's homes and land.
As for what's happening to Palestinian and Israeli Christians, almost total radio silence. I guess actual Christians take a back seat to charismatic Christianity's hard on for the end times.

A number of Israeli leadership has direct ties to Europe. Especially the ones from Poland, came from a time when we were fighting for our ability to exist & wave our flag. They learned from the best.
Ultimately Israeli society is more Western. Thus I as an European am subtly bias. I agree the bombing should slow and Israeli's should go door to door if they feel that strongly bout defeating Hamas.
Genocide is debunked. Gaza population is steadily increasing since the 1960s and multiplying from 2000 to 2040. Gaza is majority children demographic.
But Israeli population is growing even more...
My dream: Arab Worlds lukewarm response to Palestinian refugees should send a message that they are being used as pawns. I think Israelis & Palestinians can once again live together in peace and both benefit from Western titty haha. Bottomline the West supports Israel but for reasons that can change and should.

Israel Air Force commander threatens to bomb Arab countries
Israeli Air Force Commander Tomer Bar has stated that Tel Aviv had plans to launch attacks in Yemen.
Bar shared that the Air Force, as a strategic arm of Tel Aviv, is ready and acting across the Middle East in every required arena and place, according to what the official Israel Broadcasting Authority reported.
The Israeli military official’s statements came days after the Yemeni armed forces affiliated with the Houthi Ansar Allah group announced on Tuesday evening the launch of a batch of ballistic missiles at various Israeli targets, including sensitive targets in the Eilat region.

big domestic sacrifices have been imposed
On 6 November, the Financial Times (https://www.ft.com/content/77d7ff6b-85f7-40ba-babe-ed82a3e8208f) published an extraordinary investigation tracking the devastating economic toll of Israel's war on Gaza - its impact reverberating across personal finances, job markets, businesses, industries, and the Israeli government itself.
The FT reports that the war has disrupted and ravaged “thousands” of companies, many teetering on the brink of collapse, with entire sectors plunged into an unprecedented crisis.
Data cited from Israel's Central Bureau of Statistics reveals a bleak reality – one in three businesses have either shuttered or are operating at 20 percent capacity since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood (https://new.thecradle.co/articles/palestinian-islamic-jihad-al-aqsa-flood-was-a-preemptive-strike-against-the-enemy) commenced on 7 October and punched a hole in Israeli national confidence.
More than half of businesses face revenue losses surpassing the 50 percent mark. The southern regions, closest to Gaza, bear the brunt, with two-thirds of businesses either closed or functioning “to a minimum.”
Adding to the crisis, Israel's Labour ministry reports that 764,000 citizens, close to a fifth of Israel's workforce, are jobless due to evacuations, school closures mandating childcare responsibilities, or reserve duty call-ups.

On Monday, Bloomberg (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-11-12/israel-s-hamas-war-budget-leaves-netanyahu-caught-between-markets-and-politics) put numbers to the economic impact of Tel Aviv's military belligerence: The Gaza war has cost the Israeli economy almost $8 billion to date, with a further $260 million in losses incurred with every day that passes.

Yeah Col Macgregor was saying the toll on Israeli economy is not sustainable.
He doesn not believe USA will pay Israeli bills forever
Seems Israel has taken up a few loans with very high interests too.
No wonder they want to genocide palestine ASAP as they know their current economic model is not sustainable.
Macgregor believes Israel is done sooner or later. Regardless

Official U.N. figures (https://www.ohchr.org/en/news/2023/09/ukraine-civilian-casualty-update-11-september-2023) from early September note that Russian attacks killed slightly fewer than 10,000 civilians since February 2022, and injured just above 17,500. Israel has so far killed (https://www.ochaopt.org/content/hostilities-gaza-strip-and-israel-reported-impact-day-38) more than 11,000 Palestinians, wounding nearly 30,000. It is important that Biden described Russia’s attack on Ukraine as “genocide” on April 12, 2022, commenting (https://www.cnn.com/2022/04/12/politics/biden-iowa-genocide/index.html) that “we’ll let the lawyers decide, internationally, whether or not it qualifies, but it sure seems that way to me.”https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2023-11-19/israel-hostages-gaza-bombing-civilians-genocide-holocaust-studies

...the roots of the historical struggle against antisemitism before the creation of Israel in 1948. It was a struggle that aimed to protect a powerless group from powerful states, not to defend a powerful state in its attack against a powerless group. It was a struggle for a people to live in dignity in a society where everyone’s humanity is recognized, not to legitimize a state where leaders, politicians and TV anchors call openly to wipe out places and people.

the humanitarian pause, netted out, may represent a setback in the information war for the US and Israel
And there was some concern in the administration about an unintended consequence of the pause: that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there and turn public opinion on Israel.https://www.politico.com/news/2023/11/21/biden-hostage-israel-hamas-war-00128351

Please. The Biden/US after fleeing Afghanistan with those 13 American children in the back of the cargo plane re-learned the principles & manipulations of the aforementioned "information war" and have it down to an exact science. Israel? After The Holocaust they're peerless in said "information war." Those old Jews hopping into limed pits before being head shot weren't a waste after all.

Conservatism is simply a dead end. Pure nostalgia. The mix with populism and full blown demagoguery made it dangerous, because democracy isn't working for them anymore. In the US it's become a cult.
The only reason Old Joe has a shot at re-election is because he's likely running against that loser. But the options are a shit sandwich nonetheless.

Buddy, that's a big end of statement. The West is at its best a healthy balance while still being the global train for Liberalism. As an European I grew up Liberal and still view myself as such. Immigration isn't the biggest problem today but it's fair long term argument. "You" are in power we can't control that. But we can debate how society will look in the near future.

Yesterday with daybreak, Roi was murdered. The quiet of a spring morning blinded him, and he did not see the stalkers of his soul on the furrow. Let us not hurl blame at the murderers. Why should we complain of their hatred for us? Eight years have they sat in the refugee camps of Gaza, and seen, with their own eyes, how we have made a homeland of the soil and the villages where they and their forebears once dwelt.
Not from the Arabs of Gaza must we demand the blood of Roi, but from ourselves. How our eyes are closed to the reality of our fate, unwilling to see the destiny of our generation in its full cruelty. Have we forgotten that this small band of youths, settled in Nahal Oz, carries on its shoulders the heavy gates of Gaza, beyond which hundreds of thousands of eyes and arms huddle together and pray for the onset of our weakness so that they may tear us to pieces — has this been forgotten? For we know that if the hope of our destruction is to perish, we must be, morning and evening, armed and ready.
A generation of settlement are we, and without the steel helmet and the maw of the cannon we shall not plant a tree, nor build a house. Our children shall not have lives to live if we do not dig shelters; and without the barbed wire fence and the machine gun, we shall not pave a path nor drill for water. The millions of Jews, annihilated without a land, peer out at us from the ashes of Israeli history and command us to settle and rebuild a land for our people. But beyond the furrow that marks the border, lies a surging sea of hatred and vengeance, yearning for the day that the tranquility blunts our alertness, for the day that we heed the ambassadors of conspiring hypocrisy, who call for us to lay down our arms.
It is to us that the blood of Roi calls from his shredded body. Although we have vowed a thousand vows that our blood will never again be shed in vain — yesterday we were once again seduced, brought to listen, to believe. Our reckoning with ourselves, we shall make today. We mustn’t flinch from the hatred that accompanies and fills the lives of hundreds of thousands of Arabs, who live around us and are waiting for the moment when their hands may claim our blood. We mustn’t avert our eyes, lest our hands be weakened. That is the decree of our generation. That is the choice of our lives — to be willing and armed, strong and unyielding, lest the sword be knocked from our fists, and our lives severed.
Roi Rotberg, the thin blond lad who left Tel Aviv in order to build his home alongside the gates of Gaza, to serve as our wall. Roi — the light in his heart blinded his eyes and he saw not the flash of the blade. The longing for peace deafened his ears and he heard not the sound of the coiled murderers. The gates of Gaza were too heavy for his shoulders, and they crushed him.

Same with Russia & Nazi occupied Ukraine. Death tallies is like (cause of death) in the "newspapers" now...about half the time there is nary attribution. Another few years and the only causation will be when foul play is involved.

Ole Joe spoke with Qatari leaders to resolve previous delay in hostage exchange. How did it go? Hostage release is back on.
A group of hostages was seen leaving Gaza in a Red Cross convoy late Saturday night local time.
The Red Cross had earlier confirmed that it was headed to the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt with the hostages, according to the Israel Defense Forces.
Hamas said it had handed over 13 Israelis and seven foreign nationals to the organization, though Qatar and the IDF each said the number of released foreign nationals was only four.

On April 10, the BBC reported that Israel estimated 150 Palestinians had died in Jenin, and Palestinians were saying the number was far higher.[65] That same day, Saeb Erekat, on a phone interview to CNN from Jericho, estimated that there were a total of 500 Palestinians killed during Operation Defensive Shield, this figure also including fatalities outside of the Jenin camp, in other areas of the West Bank.[66] On April 11, Ben Wedeman of CNN reported that Palestinians were reporting 500 dead, while international relief agencies were saying possibly as many as 200; he noted that his efforts to independently verify the claims had so far come to naught since people were being prevented from entering the camp by Israeli soldiers.[67]
On April 12, Brigadier-General Ron Kitri said on Army Radio that there were apparently hundreds of Palestinians killed in Jenin. He later retracted this statement.[68] Secretary-General of the Palestinian Authority, Ahmed Abdel Rahman, said that thousands of Palestinians had been killed and buried in mass graves, or lay under houses destroyed in Jenin and Nablus.[69] On April 13, Palestinian Information Minister, Yasser Abed Rabbo, accused Israel of killing 900 Palestinians in the camp and burying them in mass graves.[70] On April 14, Haaretz reported that the exact number of Palestinian dead was still unknown, but that the IDF placed the toll between 100 and 200.[50] On April 18, Zalman Shoval, adviser to Sharon, said that only about 65 bodies had been recovered, five of them civilians.[47] On April 30, Qadoura Mousa, director of the Fatah for the northern West Bank, said the number of dead was 56.[71]
Based on figures provided by the Jenin hospital and the IDF, the UN report placed the Palestinian death toll at 52 Palestinian, around half of whom were thought to be civilians.

Israel is making Gaza uninhabitable for those displaced. Most will have no homes to return to, the places they were told were safe are being bombed, and in the meantime, the whole population is being denied clean water, fuel and food.
Schools, hospitals, universities, places of worship and government buildings -- civil society in total -- are being demolished.
It's de facto collective punishment and ethnic cleansing. Totally disproportionate, indiscriminate and barbaric.
Israel is also supporting/turning a blind eye to settler pogroms and violent disposessions in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
All of this is strategically short-sighted. None of it will make Israel, or Jews, safer in the medium to long term. Quite the opposite, imho.

I like how you do not include Hamas, their actions which are continuous to this day, and the role they play.
I am sure that the Israeli's are sitting in their meeting rooms Himler/Johnson style planning on the Trail of Tears style destruction of the Palestinian people.
As for the geopolitical situation, you are talking like this is still 1975. The Arabs are silent on this issue for a reason. Hamas is an Iranian proxy. The Saudis, Jordanians, and Egyptians all share the same issue.
If anything, they are on Israel's side in all this. The Egyptians are letting relief columns in but they are allowing ZERO refugees. Same for the rest of the Arab countries. Their silence is deafening to me.
This is a sign of a larger trend and a reason why Hamas freaked out. Sunni nations have been normalizing relations with Israel for the past couple of decades.
The only issue with Israeli interests is American leftist cancel culture responding to them like they did with police brutality and defund the police. Reactionary childishness.

Now you want it both ways. Are you concerned about the humanitarian situation for the Gazan people or are you more interested in your Jewish Sheldon Anderson congressional conspiracy to steal land?
Thhe reason I ask is because the very next paragraph after the one you quoted states:
"Israel is trying to keep civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip as low as possible, but Hamas is not allowing the refugees to leave and Egypt is unwilling to open its borders," the plan's authors write in the opening paragraph. They later go on to explain that "the only moral solution is to ensure that Egypt opens its borders and allows for the refugees to flee from the tyrant control of Hamas. The US Government provides Egypt with approximately $1.3 billion in foreign aid, and these funds can be allocated to the refugees from Gaza who will be allowed into Egypt."

"If Israel makes, as announced, a ground attack on Gaza, Hizbullah in Lebanon is likely to attack Israel. The U.S. has allegedly let Syria know (via France) that Damascus, and President Assad personally, would be attacked if that were to happen. This is a miscalculation. It is far from certain that Assad, or even Iran, has the means to hold Hizbullah back.
A U.S. attack on the government of Syria would bring Russia into the war. Iran would also respond which is exactly what some of the neocons want.
The war could easily escalate further from there."

The IDF calling US comments about Hamas irresponsible is new on me, but the note of concern about hostages is clearly foreground. Whether or not that concern is sincere doesn't matter: it's politically important in Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces says public discussions about the state of captives held in Gaza has moved into reckless territory, urging those responsible to knock it off.
“The conversation around the issue is irresponsible, inaccurate and should be avoided,” the IDF says in a rare statement.
The pushback is apparently in response to comments from US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller Monday that Hamas terrorists likely held back on freeing female hostages because it did not want them to speak publicly about being subjected to rape and other sexual violence.

Again you gloss over the role of Hamas again. You cannot even consider it.
Gaza is tiny as we have discussed. Let refugees into Egypt, uncomplicate the human shield component of combat and most importantly make sure those refugees get food, water, and health care. Once Hamas has been deposed then to me the best thing is to help those people rebuild their homes.
You're glossing over the Palestinian exodus if you expect them to just leave and wait till they're allowed to come back and given resources to rebuild. Why hasn't that happened in the past 70+ years? Hamas didn't even exist for most of that time
Regardless, it's telling that you think levelling tiny Gaza will eliminate state proxy Hamas. Further still when you use US disastrous response to 911 to justify Israel acting similarly

Why didn't it happen? I think in large part because of the adversarial nature of the neighboring Sunni states. As I have pointed out, in the past 70 years SA, Egypt, Syria, and Jordan would be talking about massing troops and escalating the conflict.
As it stands now they don't give a fuck and Hamas proxies are on the far side of Mesopotamia. They have been these since the 1980s. Same time as the Houthis and Hezbollah.
Gaza is a strip of land like 50 miles long. I am not saying ship them out to another region entirely just out of the war zone about the size of the San Antonio city limits.
Israel and Hamas seem set to battle building to building until it is over. Sunnis ain't doing shit. Deal with the world as it is.

...ha!!! That's rich. Like you dealt with Trump as President. Day 1. You threatened to blow him up in the White House.
Twixt. You threatened to cut his head off. You threatened to shoot him to death.
Last Day. The highest ranking soldier in the U.S., threatened to shoot him to death.
Oh, yeah, you're one sweet dealer, Lumps.

It's funny, you are trying mightily to start this fight after starting several others here.
Sorry Lumpy, you are just ignorant and will hold a grudge about it forever. You'll prove it with your next post. You couldn't just accept my educating you when you specifically asked me to multiple times.

You've really gotten upset since I quoted your "I wonder why Netanyahu was working with Hamas" post and then quoted innuendo.
You just want to snarl or you want to talk Israel v Hamas?

You want to keep your grudge going and act like you aren't. I understand. DMC tried. He didn't fool anyone either.
You won't admit you were just ignorant and take that simply true characterization as an attack. You do you.

:lol "U Mad" is your defense mechanism
You don't think like me -- you think like DMC. He got pissy and combative whenever it became known he was not omnipotent. You're doing the same. It's ok that other people know things you don't. There is no need for you to go on a war footing whenever others see that. I hope this helps you.

You're in full battle mode while trying to act like you aren't. Flowery language will probably follow in an attempt to look more civilized and calm, but that's more a derp move.

Ignorance to what?
Let's go back to where I see the devolution started.
Can you admit that your initial response to me in this thread where you wonder about Netanyahu's motives was innuendo that you led off with?
