Its been a while since I have been.
And apparently they have finally got the Cotton Bowl in some sort of reasonable shape.
Anyways it is definitely electric. The 1/2 and 1/2 split is an amazing feeling when something good happens for either side.
If it stays close to the end, the more likely bad blood comes out by the end.
If its over early in the 4th quarter, 1/2 the stadium becomes very sparse. Hopefully its a sparse crimson color.

While still officially committed to Georgia, Texas has kept communication going through his coach since offering in March.

He says he's a fan of Texas' DL and would like to visit Austin if the staff makes him a priority.

Shivers has received two Vanderbilt crystal balls on 247 this week.

"When I was researching the job I knew there was a dynamic wide receiver coming back named Daylan McCutcheon," Dodge told Horns247. "I think he probably had 25 to 30 Division I, Power Five offers. I met Daylan the first day I was here like I met all the rest of them. On my first day there were three head coaches — one from Florida State, one from USC, and one from Ohio State that were all personally on our campus to see him on that day. So I figured he's probably a pretty good player."

"Sometimes those guys can be the biggest headache for a new coach to come in," Dodge continued. "They think they know everything and they've arrived and you gotta get those guys to kind of buy in."

"Offseason, getting evaluated, all the kids, spring football, he's one of those guys at the high school level that approaches practice about as professionally as I've ever seen. For a 17-year-old kid, when he steps on the field every day, he doesn't wait for the position coach. He literally steps on the field and starts working on his craft. That was the thing that was most impressive about him. Just watching him work day in and day out. He catches the ball and sprints. If we're going team offense on the 50-yard line, he catches the ball and he goes and scores. Nobody tells him to do that. He's very versatile. He's twitchy. With the ball in his hands, after the catch, he's borderline dynamic. Really, really twitchy. Great with the ball in his hands. Everybody we've played has done something to take him away. It's always interesting what's it going to be this week. I've moved him around, I've played him outside, played him inside, got him the ball. He's the second-leading pass catcher in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Versatility, tremendous strong hands. Very rarely does he ever drop a ball. I think sometimes when you're talking about receivers — let's don't get things twisted — the most important thing is let's catch the damn thing."

"I tell him and I tell our team and tell our receiver room, the fun thing about all of us right now is we're not near as good as we can be," Dodge said. "He's got so much upside, too. He's going to get into a college dining hall and nutrition center. He's gonna work his tail off. He's a strong kid. He's going to put on good weight. He's long. He runs track. He carries his speed really well to the field. He runs track to be better at football. He's got plenty of speed and will get even better. I can't say enough about him. From a leadership standpoint, he knows who he is, the kids know who he is. He's not a rah-rah guy. It's just watch him work. It's really nice to have your best player be one of your top three or four workers, too."

"Very confident that this team will take care of business," Dodge said. "But anybody who's played in it and has been a part of it knows better than anybody else the old cliche: throw out the records. You gotta go in there and be ready for a damn bar fight. That's gotta be the mentality. Don't blink when they make a play because it's going to happen."

"Since Sark has been at Texas, obviously our football program has improved greatly because of him and his staff. I've got five walking, talking testaments to that. And that's the five kids I coached at Westlake that are playing for him. I get feedback from them all the time on how he handles things. It's interesting to lift up the curtain. It makes me proud as a former player. It's one of those deals where it's a whole lotta talent and a whole lotta unselfishness."
