The SEC east was way easier then the west, during that time period. Georgia's cross division rival was Auburn, this implied they only needed to play alabama,lsu, arky,ole miss,aggy and miss state every 6 years.

As far as highly ranked SEC teams during that time it was mostly alabama, LSU and Georgia, so.. mostly Georgia didn't have many top 10 match ups.

This year Georgia played @Tuscaloosa and this week in Austin for 2 top 5 match ups both on the road. Next year they get Alabama and Texas again, but in Athens.

Could be the difference. No deflation on my part. Happy we have something big to look forward to.


Personally my biggest game of every year has been beating Oklahoma. And we did that thoroughly with a very meh offensive performance.
Hopefully Aggie keeps on winning or having close games against the better teams they face. I want College Station to be a huge game as well.
