Let's talk about that amazing Almanac....

I grew up watching the rasslin' with my grandma, I must have been 7/8 years old or around 1957 or so, been a fan ever since, yep ...it's fake.

Started running track/playing football as soon as I could. love both sports and have read all I could about both....ok? Got into the weights at 15, ben lifting ever since.

Can't recall a time somebody in te family wasn't listening to music, totally love music and have read all I could about it.

Now add a freaky almost supernatural memory, there's the Almanac.

Avante
12-03-2014, 01:27 AM
I'll say this then shut up about it.

I'd think you guys would want to see me fail, right now it will be...."hey I was up over 1600 with 4 weeks to go and the playoffs and was going to hit that 60%". I know you're dying to, see see see huh huh you loser...YOU LOST YOU LOST..YIPPPPEE (as you wack off).

I'm the winner now, and if I don't make anymore plays "here" will remain a winner. Whatever I do over there won't matter, that point has been made,

Like I've mentioned I've made 6 others plays going 4-2 I;ve never talked about because I never mentioned them here. That one I did, and yes I played it. I posted my play on the other board, on two actually, what more could I do? We can't have a computer fuck up?

I'll just play on a board where I have a 1000 to play with instead of 680. If this would have happened over there..."ok man just don't make a habit of it, ok?" here it's....YOU MUST SUCK YOU MUST YOU MUST!!!!!!!!!!...hahahaha!!!!!!!

You ever change your mind, I talked about being talked into it and the over. You ever see me play an over? That's doesn't tell you something different was going on? And when had I ever played 1100? I have no doubts at all if I'd....see that thread well I lost 1100,. that it would be...:"ok no problem"...right?

Ok man I realize it's real real important to you that I look as inept as I can, forget it.

Inspired by the HBCU thread.

While at Florida A&M he was a running back (Cowboys made a receiver out of him) and is still the fastest player in history to ever play running back. Speaking of history, he was the first to run a sub10.00, it was windy however. He was the first to break a 6.0 indoors with a 5.9 and is the only athlete to have an Olympic gold medal/SB ring.

At 5-11 195 pounds he'd be as physically imposing as anyone running today and on these modern tracks/training/coaching would be among the fastest in the world.

I saw this as it happened.

Back in the mid 60's the top 4x1 teams in the nation were Texas Southern, Southern U and Grambling. Just think where the SEC would be today if they hadn't been made to wise up. Then again their passion for football would probably have over shadowed their predjudices.

Ok week 14

46-38 plus $1680

By December we have a great feel for who is who. And now is the time we get a total team effort, this is crunch time with playoffs spots and $$$$$$$$$$ at stake. We don't see many upsets now. Those teams that are out of it won't be able to match the intensity we see from teams needing a win.

I like to go with the better QB at home in December if a playoff spot in a goal.

Aaron Rodgers
Peyton Manning
Russell Wilson
Andrew Luck
Dree Brew
Tom Brady
Phillip Rivers

at home......is where the big $$$$ plays go this time of year. Is there a division i the NFL where one QB is so far superior like we see with Luck in that sad ass division?

I'll be looking to go against...TB, Jags, Titans, Jets, Giants, Redskins..on the road. The Raiders had been hanging within then number until at Rams.

Right now...

NO over Panthers...they are done!
Indy on the road vs Cleveland
GB over Falcons
Denver over Bills

Great QB at home (Indy exception) looking at playoff seedings.

Nothing official yet.

Look at that NO game, there we have the classic example of a team playing at home with a HOF to be QB looking for a division title vs a team that has sucked all year wishing the season was over. But.....it looks too easy doesn't it?

Avante
12-07-2014, 11:23 AM
Week 14

46-38 plus $1680

December is all about QB play, and the playoffs. Trends/stats no longer important. Injuries/weather are.

St.Louis - 2.5...red hot vs ice cold.
NO - 9.5...the Panthers are done.
Den - 9.5...looking for that HF advantage
Det - 9.5...the Buc's suck on the road.
Min -6....the Jets suck on the road.
Hous - 5....just go against the Jags.
Indy - 3.5....Andrew Luck vs Brian Hoyer
Mia -3....nervous about this one.
Cin - 3...see above
NE - 3.5...Belichick/Brady off a loss
GB - 12....Falcons suck on the road.
Oak + 8.5...how can the Niners be favored by that much vs anyone?

There I have....Rodgers, Brady, Peyton, Brees and Luck.

That Ariz/KC game simply too..?????
Why mess with two bad teams in Giants/Titans?
Eagles vs Seahawks...????

This time of year it's all about QB play. I want the better QB at home, if possible.

Time to go against those with no playoffs hopes vs those looking at the playoffs if possible.

Home field never more important.

Hey Avante why not just play big on a couple spots like you did here...

http://forums.prosportsdaily.com/showthread.php?880313-Over-Under

...instead of small on a multitude of plays?

Good question little fella. That Ravens play had a ton of trends/stats backing the side and the over. TONS!!!! There is nothing that strong this week. If I could find a real strong "spot" I'd step out on it. Maybe next week.

4-5-1... how do most places count a push?

Avante
12-08-2014, 04:13 AM
I can't get a break, damn!!!!!!!

5 points from going 7-4 today.

5-5 but I do have a Packer team that is 5-0-1ATS at home vs a Falcons team that is 1-5 ATS on the road.

The Vikes game is as if it never happened.

That Panthers vs Saints game, are you fucking kidding?

The last three weeks, ya back...

Denver
Seattle
NE
Indy
GB

All thick in the playoff hunt (back them until they have done all they can as far as seeding goes)

play against

Washington
TB
Tenn
Jags

All wanting the season over as soon as possible.

That system went....6-2 today. Worst it can go...6-3.

Avante
12-08-2014, 04:46 AM
Is there any QB in the league doing more for his team than Russell Wilson? What an amazing athlete this guy is, incredible!

How many turnovers did Andrrew Luck have today?

I give up on the Saints, what a weird team they are. Up then down then up then....sheesh~~~~~~

What a shame the Rams don't have a stud QB, this is a good young team that has played a brutal schedule and will continue to do so.

I talk about "spots", well we saw a classic one today....

The Raiders back at home after being totally embarrashed getting 8.5 from a team that can't score. Talk about e-z $$$$ there it was.

The Ravens could win out with Jax, Houston and Cleveland left, that gives them a 10-6 record. That should do it in the AFC.

Last night a Pat smacks a Charger hard with a shoulder in his chest, this is football, yep....penalty. It's getting stupid how uptight everything is becoming. Who can forget....A GAY PLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !...hahaha!!!!!

I'm all for SAFETY SAFETY at the HS/NCAA level, at the pro level it's now a business not unlike boxing/MMA/pro wrestling (don't laugh it's very dangerous). These guys know the risk.

During a regular season all these pro teams play to win their division, they keep up on where there are. That's why we see the ebb and flow, the ups and downs. It is funny watching some of you........THEY SUCK, haha!!! The Pats losing to the Chiefs who lost to the......winless Raiders?????????????? What does that tell us?

The Seahawks are now serious, the bullshit is over, it's time to get that home field advantage. And they do it the old fashion way, run the ball, don't fuck up and play that monster D.

The Pats, Packers, Broncos and Seahawks on another level.

Russell Wilson...wow!!!!!! Ya know what puts him above Andrew Luck, he's not going to make that bonehead play.

Avante

I'm guessing Michael Sam is still looking for an NFL job, the Falcons could sure use a pass rush. What we saw last night was ridiculous at the pro football level.

Black QB's

Ohio State has three of them.

FSU...Jameis Winston

Alabama a black QB

UCLA, Georgia Tech, TCU, ND, Auburn, Marshall, all with black QB;s. Clemson has a black QB.

Where does the NFL get it's QB's?

QB..Aaron Rodgers
Rb...Marshawn Lynch/Justin Forsett
RB...Chuck Muncie/C.J.Anderson
TE...Tony Gonzalez
WR..Desean Jackson/Isaac Curtis...actually faster than Jackson, a 9.3 guy.
WR..Wesley Walker ....also faster than Jackson, 9.5 sprinter. (blind in one eye)

Detroit

Been into pro football since the early 60's, at no time have I ever been more intriqued by a players first start than I will tomorrow with Johnny Football. Bummer that I won't be seeing the game out here in Cali. Obviously will see/hear all about it aftewards.

If I'm Cleveland I do use his running ability as part of the offense. Letting Johnny know....don't push it, take what you can then bail".

That will work at any level of football if done right. Nobody does it right other than Seattle. It is suppose to be a weapon used to move the chains not gooble up big yards.

I just can't see Manziel suppressing his macho. If he 's a couple yards away from a 1st down he's going for it. Defenders love nothing more than knocking QB's out of a game.

Let's see...

56-46 plus $1860

Looking ahead to week 16

Those teams fighting for playoff positioning, is where my focus will be.

Seattle at Arizona, that defense vs a third string QB?

The Ravens vs a Texan team with who at QB?

The Bills vs the lowly Raiders?

Carolina at home vs a rookie QB at Cleveland.

Dallas still has to win, the Colts don't.

Detroit has to have it, the Bears are done.

The Packers coming off a loss vs a 2 and whatever TB team.

The Steelers at home vs a one trick pony Chiefs team.

The Pats vs Jets, seems too easy. The Pats - 21.5?

Eagles in a must win vs a Redskins team with QB problems.

Hmmmm?

Avante
12-15-2014, 01:14 AM
Tom Brady covered
Peyton Manning covered
Aaron Rodgers didn't
Andrew Luck covered
Russell Wilson pushed
Big Ben covered

Hmmm?

As of right now it's looking like the Pats vs Seahawks in the SB.

The Packers don't have the D. The Cards don't have a QB. The Broncos won't beat the Pats there in the cold.

Andrew Luck vs Russell Wilson

Luck has a better arm, but he isn't the athlete that RW is and he doesn't play the game as intelligently as RW does. When Luck is moving the ball there is always that...."when does he throw that INT???"...we don't do that RW.

spurraider21

Right now RW has a better comp % than Luck does.

Luck throws the ball a lot because he has to, that gets rewarded? Nobody throws more INT's than he does.
I have no doubts of any kind that RW could do the same things Luck does if he was asked to throw more.

Seattle and Indy are built very differently. Luck has to carry the entire offense, and he does. He's also been much better in 2 minute drills this year. Wilson has struggled in those situations in a few of their losses this year, most memorably against San Diego and Dallas.

If Wilson had receivers like Hilton, Wayne and good pass catching tight ends like Luck does, I'm sure his numbers would rise. But I've seen Luck carry an offense consistently. Maybe Wilson has that ability (I'd believe so), but until I've seen him do it, I'm going to give Luck the nod

When looking at running backs the only stat that really matters is.....average per carry.....that says it all. When it comes to QB's it's that....completion %. RW has always had a high completion %. Yes I know...:"but he doesn't throw it as often"....I get that but it's real obvious RW can pass the ball. Give him those Bears receivers and he'd throwing for 4000 yards.

i like yards/attempt instead of completion%... even though i hate looking at one stat as an end-all-be-all

lets also not forget Luck has thrown for 38 touchdowns with 2 games to go. wilson has yet to reach 20 this season

Let's not forget that RW has a career passer rating of 98.9 compared to Luck's 86.9. Lets also not ignore Luck's 41 INT's compared to RW's 24. Yes Luck has 82Td's to RW's 69.

most wins in first three seasons

Will he add...first QB to win a playoff game after a SB winning season in a long time?

Why are the Cowboys having the season they are, oh yeah...DeMarco Murray. What are the Broncos relying on right now, oh yeah....the running game. Who are the defending champs....a game manager at QB, the ultimate monster back and defense. What are the Pats doing better than ever......defense!

What hapened to my Niners, we stopped doing what?

That trend I mentioned to you won again tonight, as we discussed a few days ago..

Home dogs at 7.5 or higher are now 28-9 in the past 37 games..big trend, hope we get a few more shots at some of those this season..I only bet 1 unit, sadly, was too scared to bet more on Geno Smith..

Avante

Another chance at playing this trend this week, the Redskins are a +8.5 home dog..

I'm not going to play them straight up, but I'll probably tease them with the Pats or Seahawks..

The last 4 weeks of any season begins a different situation. I no longer look for trends not that that one isn;'t a solid one. Now it's about the playoffs. Good teams looking for playoff positioning, bad teams wanting the season to end.

Check it out....

Pats covered
Colts covered
Broncos covered
Bengals coverd
Sants covered
Cards covered
Cowboys covered
Steelers covered
Ravens didn't
Eagles didn't
Lions didn't
Packers didn't

So just by playing playoff contenders with a solid QB....8-4.

Right now ya wanna look at QB play. Brady, Peyton, Luck, Romo all won you $$$ only Rodgers losing any.

I teased the Pats and Colts last week, won huge..I agree that betting on the teams in playoff positioning vs. shitty teams is the best bet..

This week, I'm going to tease a combination of the Pats/Seahawks/Packers again..not sure if I'll go with a 3-team teaser, since I think that's generally too much, but 2-team teasers have been profitable for me, as of late..

NFL is easiest to bet on from about week 13 to week 17, when playoff positioning matters, and bottom-feeders are ready for their vacation..

You have Brady/RW/Rodgers.....which is what I'm talking about.

I love that Lions vs Bears play. The Lions are 7-1 in this "spot" the last 8. And this Lions team is better than last years while the Bears are the worst D in the league.

Another strong play will be the Steelers at home vs a Chiefs team that struggles on the road. The Steelers with the better QB at home, with the playoffs on the line. Love that combo in December.

Ok starting Sunday I will be taking.....Denver, Niners, Seattle, Indy and Cinncy every single week. I might add a few plays that look good. Will probaly take Niners to cover at home vs Sea and vice versa in Seattle.

I will post the line but if something happened and I failed to post that week they are my plays. This computer is on it's last legs.

It's a time proven system the one I started using about five years ago, it's not as much about winning as it is ....how much will I win? Just the last two years an average,...55-32.
Denver: 7-7
49ers: 4-10
Seattle: 8-6
Indy: 10-4
Cincy: 7-7

this power system is a combined 36-34 this year. for your standard 110 to win 100 bets, that leads to a total of -$140

this is why systems/trends are for chumps. rather than stick to this phony bologna system, you've made your picks on a week to week basis and actually having a profit. well done :tu

Take out a Niners team that had injuries (no Smith) on the defense and now it's....

32-20

The last three years just playing....Den/Indy/Seattle/Cincy.....77-46.

This stuff is all about systems/trends/stats. Since week one I've gone 55-42....here. And that's betting systems/trends/stats.

You look for "spots" where one team has a huge advantage when it comes to trends. Yep, homework. The bottom line is are you winning $ as we saw, I pulled myself out of a - 330 hole to being over a grand. I think I'll stick to my systems/trends/stats.

you can't just "take things out"... take off the niners... take off week 1.

plus even with that being said you are inflating your record with those 2 bogus picks. and even if we grant you that, 55-42 isn't even 60%, let alone 70%... and thats after removing your week 1 debacle

Do you really think I'm playing the Niners without their stud pass rusher?

Stop with the bogus picks deal, those were just as legit as the picks I make here, just because I posted them on another board doesn't take away their validity. I do count them because they are part of my season, so let's keep it real.

Dude, nobody hits 70% ok, and it's really hard to hit 60%. Most guys hit around 55=60 if they are good at this. It's more about money management, as you have seen I know when to play the big $$$. I've only lost one big $ play.

You can't be this naive. You honestly haven't noticed a huge difference this season? Take away that horrendous week one and add a couple plays I talked about but bailed on because of bogus weather reports and I'm sitting at 57-42. That's not bad.

I'm the real deal guy, the genuine article. An historian/gambler.

Avante

Ok, talking playoffs.

The Packers are the weakest defensive team among the big 4. That's NE/Den/Seattle/Packers. So it all comes down to that home field advantage.

No team in the history of the leqgue is any better than that Belichick/Brady combo. Now add that defense. If they are home, they will represent the AFC. Peyton on the road in the cold....nope!

Nobody can beat Seattle at home not even the Pats. in a meaningful game. Its real important they play there. As of right now that is a ..? Arizona is done due to injuries.

The Pats vs the Seahawks.....is what we will see.

If both teams show up healthy, I'd have to give the Seahawks the nod. The RW factor being the difference.

Colts...Andrew Luck
Cards...great D
Cowboys,...Tony Romo

Who wins the weak NFC South.....Drew Brees

look at the bad teams

Titans...no QB
Jags...no QB

But I thought the running back was more important and that it's still a "two yards and a cloud of dust" league?

You have never understood what is being talked about there.

Who are the defending SB champs, yep....a team that plays that monster D/runs the ball..right? What team went undefeated....yep, that Dolphins team with Csonka/Morris/Kick and that D. Look at the 85 Bears, those Steeler teams. Those Packer teams of the 60's had 4 HOFers to be on the D and two HOFers to be at running back.

Look what happened to Peyton Manning and that prolific passing attack vs that stud D of the Seahawks in the SB.

This is how it works....

When you can run the ball, the D gets a longer blow, the offense is in third and short instead of third and long. Now that opposing D is guessing. When you run the ball you wear down a D, which pays big dividends come that third quarter.

Look at the Cowboys this season, what are they doing differently now, could it be......running the ball?

Look at this....Russell Wilson is just a game manager, Andrew Luck is far better......ok so how come the Seahawks are a far better team, oh yeah......run the ball/defense.

Great QB's don't lose the game for you, they protect a lead. They move the chains.

Avante

I'll try again....

Slow down people, ok? Start looking at the big picture not week to week or even a few seasons. Give things some time..ok? Acting like a retarded banty rooster over a game/season....rookie!

I'm a Niner fan, we have seen it all. We've been the very best, and we have sucked. So ya simply go with the flow and look at the big picture. How many teams have been more successful than my Niners? How about....the Steelers, Cowboys, those way back in the day Browns teams and that's it. I go with ...the big picture...not just 2014.

In 1985 the Bears were as good as any yeam had ever been for one season. They were sorta like the Seahawks today, stud back, great D and a solid QB. They also didn't have a great receiving gang.

Anyway....

The Seahawks were 3-3 and it's not looking good......remember? And it was....Russell Wilson can't.....that defense can't.....that was 7-1 ago. Now it's looking like they are once again the team to beat the NFC, the Cards have no QB, the Packers are weak on the D. The Cowboys aren't beating them twice in Seattle.

The Pats are 2-2 and just got their ass kicked by the Chiefs, well that's it for Tom Brady....right? Hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

Slow down people, give things some time, ok?

Avante

I have no interest in the Jags vs Titans game tonight. None! So I'm going to say the home team wins it. See if this.....two bad teams, go with the home team....works. No $$$$ play, no nothing, not even sure I'll watch it.

Cutler to the Texans, hmmmmm? That just might work.

It's looking like....

Broncos vs Pats
Packers vs Seahawks

...isn't it? Who could fuck that up?

I'm not drafting Mariota or Winston in the first round.

Armani Cooper is the guy who could make a huge impact immediately.

Did Clowney make his $$$$ and really doesn't care all that much about earning it?

The Steelers are the best "prime time" team in the league they thrive in prime time. As we know the Bengals don't, they got a little lucky tonight, can they get lucky again next week?

The Steelers have only lost one regular season ending game since Tomlin has been there.

Big Ben at home vs Andy Dalton on the road, boy that's tough....ha~~~~~

The Steelers are 3-1 at home vs Cincy the last 4 seasons.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Packers simply own the Lions at home, this will continue.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Falcons are a far better home team than the Panthers are a road team.

Home teams win all three.

The Chargers have beaten KC 6 times in KC in the last 10 years. If they win they are in. Hmmmmmm? The Chargers........???

I'll be going with those I saw play, so no Otto Graham, "Slingin' " Sammy etc.

Top 20 QB's since 1960

1.Joe Montana.... his success with good enought stats...unmatched.
2.Peyton Manning...will leave the game owning all the stats
3.Tom Brady...second to Montana when it comes to that success/stats combo
4.Aaron Rodgers...obviously too young to be among the stat leaders but his greatness will be realized down the road.
5.Johnny Unitas...his dominance of his era was amazing. He made Hall of Famers out of Ray Berry/John Mackey and Lenny Moore the first great receiving running back (would have been a receiver today)
6.Dan Marino
7.John Elway
8.Drew Brees
9.Brett Favre
10.Fran Tarkenton
11.Warren Moon
12.Dan Fouts
13.Steve Young
14.Big Ben
15.Troy Aikman
16.Philip Rivers
17.Roger Staubach
18.Jim Kelly
19.Y.A.Tittle
20.Sonny Jurgenson

Joe Namath/Terry Bradshaw were like Andrew Luck, they threw way too many INT's. When Luck cleans up his bad decision making he'll be on that list after his career.

Russell Wilson is a strange case, without his running ability which he won't have at 35, what now?

I have this little theory that once we start seeing NFL players doing tv commercials/ESPN spots, there goes their game.

Patrick Willis
Kaepernick
RGIII
Drew Brees
Eli Manning
Calvin Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Cam Newton

....none have played better since we started seeing them doing those commercials.

Peyton is the king of the NFLer/TV commercial and appears to be the exception, as is Aaron Rodgers. It also hasn't seemed to have hurt Russell Wilson/Richard Sherman, yet.

Week 17

59-47 plus $2040

Week 1 and week 17....rough.

So many ? this week.

Those in the playoffs? Those out of them ?

Here goes...

The Seahawks vs Rams under the 41.5. I don't see the Rams scoring over 17 or the Seahawks scoring over 21.

Indy - 7, they looked like shit last week, they don't wanna limp into the playoffs. Have owned their division ATS.

SD plus 1, the Chargers are one of the best December teams in the league, the Chiefs one of the worst. Now add 3-1 ATS last 4 vs KC. And haven't lost both Chief games in over a decade.

Packers at home have owned the Lions, the Lions haven't won there in 23 years. I'll lay the 7. Aaron Rodgers at home vs Matthew Stafford on the road, gotta like that. Also like that new center for the Lions.

Avante

Another good week going 3-1, so...62-48 plus $2230

Might as well play the Steelers minus 3.5, will play $110. Wouldn't play the game if chasing my $, but will playing house $.

The Steelers one of the best December home teams in prime time, the Bengals just the opposite on the road. Now add the Steelers are 6-2 in this "spot" the last 8 vs the Bengals.

Avante
12-28-2014, 11:56 PM
How's bout....

63-48 plus $2330 for the regular season. Since a shitty week 1...63-45. Like I said it does get easier having gone 13-4 in the last 3 weeks.

Ok time to start working on....

Cincy at Indy
Balt at Pitt
Ariz at Caro
Det at Dall

Notice in every game the better QB is at home?

Those who followed my plays won over $1300, you're welcome.

Now it's all about...QB/home.

Notice how all the elite QB's have home games? What are the odds of a team with an inferior QB beating the spread on the road? I start there and need a great reason to play a road team in the playoffs.

Wild Card games

The Cards plus 6.5, I do see the Panthers winning the game but more in a 24-20 type game. And a Cards win wouldn't shock me at all. The Panthers are only here because of that weak division. That Cards D is what I'm banking on.

Will play 110, don't like playing road teams in the playoffs.

Not sure what I'll do in that Pitt/Balt game, without Bell...???

Same with the Colts/Bengals, the Bengals are the better team but the Colts are at home***

I will lay the 6.5 and back the Cowboys, there we have that combo...better QB/running game/home field....advantage. Also playing a another 110.

The Cowboy pick does seem too easy, that's usually not good.

*** right here is the big difference between Luck and Russell Wilson. I can see Luck throwing that INT, while RW doesn't lose games for his team.

The best thing about playoff games from an ATS perspective is we know we'll get a 100% effort and lines less than 7. Early in a season we really don't know what kind of effort we'll get. Yes these guys are watching their division standings, they don't need to win every game and know it.....early on. If ya noticed it was the final month when everyone now had to have it that I made my $$$$$. Yep, it gets easier later on.

Just heard it's raining in Pitt and they expect rain later on, so no play there. Rain comes into play in the kicking game.

Are you kidding me? It's raining in Carolina also, well there goes today. Never play $$$$ games where weather can be a factor. No plays today.

This season when I decided to give out my legit $$$$$$$ making plays......crickets....hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!! You could hear.."damn, he's pretty good". Which is no fun, it's only fun if....YOU LOST YOU LOST YIPPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Nobody is ever going to pat you on the back, they are only interested in kicking you in the ass, that is internet mentality. Yep...punks in hiding.

If you wanna find out if someone is an asshole or not, just stick them behind a computer with no repurcussions for their actions.

I once posted a mile long list of every track/footballer of note, had what schools/NFL teams they'd played for, their PR's. Tons of tracksters/footballers listed. Guy comes on...."you spelled (have forgot what) wrong"........hahaha!!! That's internet mentality, trying to see what you did wrong.

If you are winning, a totally different deal, hahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Once again a black QB will be playing for the National Championship and a great chance of a black QB playing in the SB with RW. That ability to extend plays, put defenses in...."will he run or throw"...a very big deal.

I'll just say it, if that black QB's has some smarts like RW it will work. Guys like Kaepernick/RGIII simply don't have the smarts to get it. Not sure what to think about Newton, sometimes he comes off dumber than a rock other times he appears fairly intelligent.

Try...49 games ago. We have to go back to weeks two/three of 2012. Since 2011 it's only happened twice.

The best Bengal backs prior to Hill/Bernard.

Corey Dillon Washington
James Brooks Auburn
Icky Woods UNLV

OK...

Colts /Bengals under 49. Last 6 road games for the Bengals when RD's all went under. Last 4 for the Colts as a HF all went under. That's a 10-0 trend.

Will lay the 6.5 and take the Cowboys. Best QB/RB/WR at home. Yes "right now" Bryant is superior to Johnson.

110 to win 100.

Big Ben is better than Flacco...nope!

3-1

Next week...

I don't know if Manning is better than Luck at this stage of their careers or not, sure he's more football smart but his arm...??? This one doesn't fit.

RW far better than Cam Newton.
Tom Brady is better than Flacco.
Aaron Rodgers is better than Tony Romo.

The Panthers accomplished their goal, they won a playoff game. In the Cam Newton era that is all they are a team looking to win....a...playoff game. The Seawaks in the Russell Wilson era about winning another Superbowl. They expect to win playoff games. But.....the brand of football that they play isn't built for 11 point wins. In the RW era...

Oregon NCAA champs
Seattle NFL champs

A very real possibilty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Evolution? With the NCAA going more and more to mobile/athletic/black QB's (look at all the top teams with them) watch what happens in the NFL. And.....with up tempo NCAA football we'll be seeing smaller quicker defensive linemen, big 330 pound run stuffers can't hang at that pace. Where does the NFL get it;s D linemen?
By 2025 there will be more black QB's in the league than ever, and smaller quicker defensive linemen. Yep, a different game.
I saw my first televised NFL game in 1962, it was the Giants vs Bears, that day number 28 Willie Galimore stold the show. Seen a lot of CFL/WFL/USFL/NCAA/AFL/NFL/JC/high school football. And have never ever seen a call as bad as what we saw in that Cowboy game. How can that not be pass interference? That was the classic example of pass interference. Could use that as a poster that reads...pass interference.
Hard to believe guys who make millions of dollars at what they do drafted Johnny Manziel. I would have sat down with the guy and made it very clear if he wants to play for my team he will need to drop his attitude and yes he will change. This..."I'm doing what I want"...won't work. If he can't figure out an NFL QB won't allow him to do what he wants, if he doesn't know an NFL QB is suppose to be the leader of the team I can't use him. If I don't get...."yes sir I understand that and will do what needs to be done"......I;m not wasting a draft pick on him.
After watching him in 2014, I'm dumping him. His immaturity is too obvious.
Denver: 7-7
49ers: 4-10
Seattle: 8-6
Indy: 10-4
Cincy: 7-7
this power system is a combined 36-34 this year. for your standard 110 to win 100 bets, that leads to a total of -$140
this is why systems/trends are for chumps. rather than stick to this phony bologna system:tu
Its a horrible way to bet that is fed to the public without any mechanism to back it.
It assumes that past events influence future events, like a guy reasoning that he has flipped too many heads in a row, so that the next flip has a greater chance of being tales, or vice versa ( I'm on a hot streak, it's got to be heads again)
Its about the same as Avante's reasoning that evolution is bogus. It's hopelessly misinformed.
If he thinks winning one season is a validation that he really is good at this, give it some time, he will eventually regress to .500, and with that 10% off the top, that's a loser. Vegas welcomes him.
Other than the Niners who I would have jumped off because of the Aldon Smith situation, that system currenty sits at 36-26-2. That's a nice little profit.
And if you knew anything at all about NFL wagering you'd be very aware of how history plays a huge part in it. Only fools and rookies ignore history.
I'm at over $2000 to the good ($1580 here) betting angles/trends/history. Looking for "spots" that favor a side. Up above I played an under with a 10-0 trend attached to it, now it's 11-0.
What happens is fools like yourself simply can't figure out what beating the NFL point spread is really all about. They just don't get it.
I started off in the hole 330, so why was I never worried and kept..."calm down it gets easier"..it was because I know what I'm doing and always end up winning $$$$$...always.
Most guys don't have a clue what to look for, they don't understand how these teams do in whatever role they are in that week. Most wouldn't even get....role.
Since week one...64-45...that is what I usually hit, around 55-60% 66-48 on the internet and if not for bogus weather reports...68-48. That rivals anyone out there.
As we saw it's not as entertaining/fun when I'm winning, but it was funny watching..."YOU SUCK!"...to...crickets (damn he's legit)....hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
I really don't like doing all the work and then handing out free $$$$$, that's why I was reluctant to give out legit $$$$ making plays. But......I finally decided to shut up the dumb kids here and as we saw....I did.
As far as evolution goes, there are still too many..."could have"..."maybe"...."good chance"..."not certain but"...involved with it.
I can't play 11 points. I can see the Seahawks at 24-7 ish late in game, then the Panthers score a garbage td...24-14.
I can see the Ravens hanging close, but want to root for the Pats, so no play. NE 24 Balt 20 looks about right.
If Rodgers was 100% I;m laying the 6, what happened if he gets hurt? No play!
Ok, finally....
Without a running game, there's Luck in third and 6ish all day long. While Peyton will spend the day in third and short, there's the game. Denver 28 Indy 20. So will lay the 7.
110 to win 100.
One of the great running backs in pro football history. A 9.2 sprinter while in college.
Who?
Interesting story....
One of the nations fastest sprinters with his 9.2 while at Stephen F. Austin. Ended up with the Houston Oilers, for some reason he didn't make it there. Ended up in the CFL where he tore it up.
Thing about this guy is a real case can be made that he is the fastest running back to ever play pro football. And......he's totally lost in obscurity.
Curtis Dickey who also ran a 9.2/10.10 the fastest RB ever to make an pro football team and star in the NFL. But.....Hopkins ran his 9.2 long before Dickey which makes it superior.
I posted this prior to the playoffs.
Ranking the playoff teams by points scored/given up.
The number will be like this...scored 468 given up 313 so....plus 15. 46 over 31.
1.NE 15
2.Sea 14
3.GB 14
4.Den 13
5.Dall 11
6.Balt 10
7.Indy 9
8.Pitt 7
9.Det 4
10.Cincy 2
11.Ariz 2
12. Caro minus 4....thank God for the weak NFC South
That is about straight up. So far...3-1, but that Ariz QB situation can't be ignored.
Better QB at home....let's see how that plays out today.
So far...3-1
According to that theory...
Brady over Flacco
Rodgers over Romo
Manning over Luck
RW over Newton
Change the word better to....more successful. All the ones on the left have won SB's. only Flacco on the right but Brady has more.
This was just too easy.
See ya in 30 days NLS, to buck all those trends....DUH!!!!!!!
DD hopefully ya learned your lesson, see you in 60 days.
Koolaid Man Brother, I feel sorry for ya ya little shit, you can slither on back after 90 days, if.....you stay away from me....ok?
Anyone out there still not getting Russell Wilson? He's that smart black QB like Warren Moon, a mobile. intelligent guy who knows how to win football games. Anyone ...still...not getting this?
So far the ...more successful QB at home.....is 5-1 in the playoffs. Little doubt Denver makes it 6-1. If.....Aaron Rodgers doesn't reinjure that calf. 7-1.
Russell Wilson at his stage of a career is the most successful QB in pro football history. Nobody has been more successful. Now ya know why I was as high on him as I am, I knew he'd be special.
It's come full circle.
Those 60's Packer teams had receivers nobody here as ever heard of. They had a smart QB who rarely made mistakes. They had a monster back in Jim Taylor and a D with four future HOFers on it. And.....a great coach.
Hmmmm?
Seattle's a very hard team to beat. Takes a team with an extremely physical running game and physical defense and no one else in the playoffs has that combo.
The key to winning in the NFL is....
1.win the turnover battle
2.run the ball
3.stuff the run
No team does that better.
They have the best, Coach/QB/Defense...trio in the league.
Add all that up and they are the team to beat again this season.
The Pats were the better team throughout the regular season mainly because Seattle's offense hadn't been as strong as the previous two seasons while the Pats offense was very good and the Pats defense pretty good as well. We learned more about the Pats today beating a strong Ravens team while the Seahawks cruised in the 4th against a weaker Panthers team. I think Seattle has a better chance against Green Bay than Dallas though depending on that Simon dude to be the number two corner could be a nightmare scenario against Rodgers.
If the Cowboys can win another on the road that would tell us they are a serious threat, but.....there is no doubt the Seahawks have a score to settle having lost to them in 2014. I think they'd be more stoked for the Cowboys.
The Packers are better than the Cowboys, and would be a harder out.
Jordy Nelson was a Kansas State 100/200/400 and long jump champ. He was a 10.6 guy. Not too bad, for a white guy. His 48 second 400m is why nobody runs him down, he has that...speed endurance.
What a shame Russell Wilson doesn't have a T.Y.Hilton to throw to.
What's with all these Cal backs?
What a shame Carson Palmer got hurt. With him the Cards would have been a real threat.
I do doubt the Ravens beat the Steelers if Bell would have played.
Kaepernick working with Kurt Warner, he needs it.
Tom Brady........wow~~~~~~~~
I think Kelvin Benjamin is going to make it, ha~~~~~~~~~~~
Sure Newton looked bad vs Seattle but who doesn't?
Andrew Luck will throw at least one pick later today.
As we are seeing that home field advantage is huge...if...these teams are healthy. I have no doubts the Steelers beat the Ravens with Bell there.
I expect to see more of that today, barring injuries....Broncos/Packers move on.
Next week we will have the better QB on the road, While young RW is a great QB he isn't on a par with Aaron Rodgers.
Avante
01-12-2015, 11:21 AM
Never been more wrong about a game in my life. If we were going to see a blowout in this round it was Broncos beating up Colts. Then Peyton Manning got really old real quick. That's it for him, he's done. If the Broncos let him stay as the starting QB they are stupid. I did nail Luck throwing another INT, actually two, that's what seperates him from Wilson, his decision making.
So 64-49 plus $1470.
So here's the plan, I'm going to pocket a grand, take the 6.5 and put $ 440 on the Buckeyes tonight. Urban Myers has never failed to win the $$$$ as a dog. If he loses tonight my betting season is over. Will end up 64-50 plus $1030 (here). If I win...65-49 $1870 and moving on, with 330 to play, will now pocket $1540.
Meyers is used to the big stage/game that can't be said about Helfrich.
Anyone still think the NFL wants the Cowboys there?
The Colts stand no chance vs the Pats in the cold of Foxboro in Jan.
That Seattle defense at home vs a QB who is limited, now add the Russell Wilson factor.
Like I said long ago....Seahawks vs Pats....will be our Superbowl.
I'll be in a shitty situation tonight, one I don't like. I want the Ducks to win but the Buckeyes to stay close, yep....sucks! I just can't ignore the Urban Myers factor there.
Avante
01-12-2015, 12:28 PM
I 'm having fun with this Russell Wilson thing. Watching a lot of you all thinking....damn, this guy is great....but ya just can't admit it because you've already....just a monkeyballer....a game manager.......so you'd look stupid now.
I'll just say it......here we have the smart black QB, he has that running ability unique to black QB's and is intelligent unlike most black QB's. That's why he's special, a unigue combo.
We saw Andrew Luck yesterday throwing two more INT's and if Tom Brady is on the Broncos they are losing that game. When was the last time we saw RW throw an INT in a big game?
RW's combo of....passing/decision making/running....unmatched in todays game.
There was a time early on where both the Pats and Seahawks were 2-2 and 3-3 and it was....what's wrong with Brady, too much turmoil in Seattle...hahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Green Bay was 2-2, and the Colts were 0-2.
Hopefully you learned something about the pro game, it's all about vs your division, not winning every game, that's the NCAA.
Those four teams in the second half of the season....
Pats...6-2 with that week 17 game meaning 0.
Seattle...7-1
Packers...7-1
Indy...6-2
Other than the Niners who I would have jumped off because of the Aldon Smith situation, that system currenty sits at 36-26-2. That's a nice little profit.
And if you knew anything at all about NFL wagering you'd be very aware of how history plays a huge part in it. Only fools and rookies ignore history.
I'm at over $2000 to the good ($1580 here) betting angles/trends/history. Looking for "spots" that favor a side. Up above I played an under with a 10-0 trend attached to it, now it's 11-0.
What happens is fools like yourself simply can't figure out what beating the NFL point spread is really all about. They just don't get it.
I started off in the hole 330, so why was I never worried and kept..."calm down it gets easier"..it was because I know what I'm doing and always end up winning $$$$$...always.
Most guys don't have a clue what to look for, they don't understand how these teams do in whatever role they are in that week. Most wouldn't even get....role.
Since week one...64-45...that is what I usually hit, around 55-60% 66-48 on the internet and if not for bogus weather reports...68-48. That rivals anyone out there.
As we saw it's not as entertaining/fun when I'm winning, but it was funny watching..."YOU SUCK!"...to...crickets (damn he's legit)....hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
I really don't like doing all the work and then handing out free $$$$$, that's why I was reluctant to give out legit $$$$ making plays. But......I finally decided to shut up the dumb kids here and as we saw....I did.
As far as evolution goes, there are still too many..."could have"..."maybe"...."good chance"..."not certain but"...involved with it.
But not with betting, you are sure to make a profit.
http://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/against-the-spread/
I look at who is playing what role that week, this week The Pats/Seahawks are home favs, the Packers/Colts are road dogs. As we can see in both games there is no real advantage there for anyone, so fuck that.
So what needs to be looked at next?
Avante
01-13-2015, 02:21 AM
After watching the impact Edelman and Amendola make on the Pats, I started thinking about other white receiving duos. Won't go way back in the day before we had black players.
Those 60's Packers had Boyd Dowler, a college hurdler, Carroll Dale and Max McGee.
Around that time the St. Louis Cardinals had Bobby Joe Conrad and 9.7 sprinter Sonny Randle.
When Mike Ditka was with the Bears he was a pass catcher, on the other side was speedy Johnny Morris who is still the all time leading receiver for the Bears.
When the great Ray Berry was starring for the Colts, there was Jimmy Orr on the other side.
That Jets team that won the SB had future HOFer Don Maynard and George Sauer.
When the Chargers weren't throwing to the amazing Lance Alworth, they were throwing to Gary Garrison.
So who am I forgetting?
Avante
01-13-2015, 04:00 AM
Ok...
Will pocket $1540, and play $330 on the Pats - 6.5. The Pats as a single digit fav...17-4 in the last 21. The Pats have owned Andrew Luck, why should that change? I have the better QB at home "again" vs the inferior QB on the road "again". Nice "spot" to be in.
If I hit will play 660 on the Seahawks in the SB, if I don't my season is over 65-50 plus $1540 (here)
I don't like 7.5, never have. The Seahawks having to win by two scores, don't like it. Will pass. I can see the classic...
Seahawks 21-7 with a couple minutes to play, then...21-14, yep...a loser.
I will be ignoring this strong trend.....Seattle 20-4 ATS....in that second home game. Yep, Aaron Rodgers even gimply gets my respect.
The Pats do have a history of big power backs, their first 1000 yard rusher was an NCAA wrestling champ fom Syracuse, Jim Nance, he wa a 240pound bull. The franchises all time leading rusher is Sam "Bam" Cunningham (yep, his brother), another big back. Who can forger Antuane Smith out of Houston?
TE types totally fuck up any defense. Too big/strong for defensive backs, too fast for backers. So why not have three of them out there? Sure you'll need a speed receiver/back so the D can't cheat up.
Something we don't see today, the running back duos.
The great combos, both there together.
Bears...Red "The Galloping Ghost" Grange/Bronco Nagurski....HOFers
Niners...Joe "The Jet" Perry/Hugh "The King" McElhenny/John Henry Johnson...HOFers
Packers....Jim Taylor/Paul Hornung....HOFers
Bears...Rick Casares/Willie Galimore.....best back you've never heard of.
Browns...Jim Brown/Bobby Mitchell.....HOFers (Mitchell as a Redskin receiver)
Chargers...Paul Lowe/Keith Lincoln
Chiefs...Abner Haynes/Curtis McClinton
Saints....Tony Galbreath/Chuck Muncie
Steelers...Franco Harris/Rocky Bliears
Raiders...Hewritt Dixon/Clem Daneils
Jets...Matt Snell/Emerson Boozer
Bengals...Pete Johnson/James Brooks
Browns...Kevin Mack/Ernest Byner
Dolphins...Larry Csonka/Mercury Morris
Redskins...John Riggins/Joe Washington
Marcus Allen and Bo Jackson spelled each other, same with Tony Dorsett and Hercshel Walker, more or less. Those mentioned above lined up together, more or less.
So who did I miss?
Stud QB's and their stud back
Otto Graham/Marion Motley
Y.A.Tittle/Joe Perry/John Henry Johnson/Hugh McElehnny.....all in the HOF
Tobin Rote/Paul Lowe
Jack Kemp/Cookie Gilchrist
Don Meredith/Don Perkins
Roman Gabriel/Dick Bass
Darly Lamonica/Clem Daneils
John Unitas/Lenny Moore (first great receiving RB)
Terry Bradshaw/Franco Harris
Bart Starr/Jim Taylor/Paul Hornung....all in the HOF
Roger Staubach/Tony Dorsett
Joe Theisman/John Riggins
Troy Aikman/Emmit Smith
Joe Namath/Matt Snell
Bob Griese/Larry Csonka
Jim Kelly/Thurman Thomas
Kurt Warner/Marshall Faulk
John Elway/Terrell Davis
Joe Montana/Roger Craig
Dan Fouts/Chuck Muncie
Philip Rivers/Ladainian Tomlinson
Peyton Manning/Edgerrin James
Tony Romo/DeMarco Murray
Russell Wilson/Marshawn Lynch
I do get a kick out of this stupid....it's the RB and D....hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Warner was great without Faulk in Arizona.
Fouts put up tons of numbers without Muncie who was a crackhead most of his career.
Rodgers and Brees have won big and put up big numbers without a stud RB and stud defense.
Imagine....
Russell Wilson at QB
Chuck Muncie a 1000 yard rusher at RB
Kellen Winslow who was the guy that actually changed the TE position
Charlie Joiner who like Winslow is in the HOF
John Jefferson, a fantastic speed receiver lost in obscurity because of $$$$.
That's what the statue Dan Fouts had, Fouts couldn't run a lick.
Fouts was a much better pocket passer than RW will ever be. Gimme a break. Wilson has to do most of his damage outside the pocket.
Does it really matter if a QB is in the pocket or not? The point was, RW has never had a slew of great receivers. Fouts had the best trio....ever...and when Jefferson left for GB in came Wes Chandler.
Firsts for Russell Wilson
Big10 QB to throw for 26 TDS as an NFL rookie.
Back to back 100 passer rating as a two year NFL QB.
Two Superbowl appearances in first three seasons.
300 yards passing/100 yards rushing in a game.
Third year QB to have went 10-0 vs SB winning QB's.
Most wins of any third year QB.
First QB to return to a SB after more than a decade.
Most playoff wins by any third year QB.
Yet, we...STILL...see those not getting it. What more does this guy need to do?
Speaking of white receivers....
The biggest difference between blac/white receivers is that size with speed thing. There are no white Calvin Johnson's.
It does matter because most passes are thrown from the pocket. Fouts never played with a number one defense either. That's half the game being dominated.
The bottom line is this....
Kid comes out of Wisconsin, steps right in and starts winning, he's tying records, he's doing things never seen before, he's winning SB's, he's coming from behind to make another SB, he's winning more games after three seasons than any QB in history. How can anyone criticize that? What more does he need to do?
How can anyone criticize...
Two SB's in first three seasons
Highest passer rating average in first three seasons
Only 300 passer/100 rusher in a game
Most wins by any QB in their first three seasons
Ties rookie TD record
What else does the guy need to do?
Russell Wilson is the best athlete playing the QB position in the NFL, so why not take advantage of that? Why not put....run or pass.....on a defense?
Will never figure out how anyone would not get this.
I challenge anyone to find another QB who had....
more wins
better comp%
better TD/INT ratio
better passer rating
more yard rushing
after three seasons than Russell Wilson. Go ahead check out Marino/Montana/Peyton/Brady...whoever. Go ahead prove my point for me. Look at Rodgers, Farve after three seasons. Bring in Andrew "INT" Luck.
I'm guessing most the critics here had no idea who Russell Wilson was coming out of college, try the all time NCAA passing efficency leader. A 4.5 40 guy. Then when... I.... starting praising him. this old.....AVANTE MUST ALWAYS BE WRONG ....ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which isn't working too good is it, hahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all the reversals we see due to instant replay, just think of all those games that would have had a different outcome back before instant replay.....hmmmmmm?
The worst non call I've seen during the instant replay era was in that Texas vs USC title game. Vince Young is going to the ground, with his knee on the ground he throws a td pass. The TV guys "that will no doubt be over turned"...then it was showed many times, it was never even looked at...touchdown! Amazing.
It's funny watching any of those ESPN/NFLNetwork guys talk about how Russell Wilson is now among the elite, a unique talent, the modern day Fran Tarkenton, a legend in the making. Bill Belichick comparing him to Roger Staubach and then a guy like myself (who saw Staubach play at Navy) who has far far more experience at this than anyone here saying he's great. Then to read a bunch of dummies......................sheesh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Is it because he's what? Black? Short? Wisconsin QB? Runs too much? Doesn't need to throw all over the place? What exactly is it?
Only a blind man or a total fool wouldn't see this guys greatness.
When the Boston Patriots first came into existance in the old AFL their first QB was a cat who was working as a probation officer, a former CFL player named...Ed "Butch" Songin. He sucked, so in 1961 they traded (Raiders)for Babe Parilli out of Kentucky, he was a good QB, they also moved db Gino Cappelletti to receiver. Parilli to Cappelletti was the first potent Italian passing duo in pro football history. Their first stud linebacker....Nick Buonconti.
See, ya learned something.
Hard to believe but 100% true.
A wide receiver blind in one eye...Wesley Walker Jets
A 137 pound kick returner....Gerald McNeil Oilers
A 5-4 "stud" running back....Buddy Young Colts
Gale Sayers having a brother faster than he was
John Riggins winning the Kansas State 100yd in 9.8.
When Bob Hayes was wowing everyone with his WR speed, there were two others in the league who had beaten him....who?
Avante has never heard of hand timers...
How long does it take the avg human being to hear a noise and THEN press a button?
Try this trick:
fold a hundy in half lengthwise
Make sure its new and crisp.
Hold the hundy lengthwise barely above the opened fore finger and thumb of a contestant wishing to lose a hundy.
Give the contestant about an inch of distance between the thumb and forefinger.
Drop the hundy.
The contestant should not be able to pinch the hundy, no human should unless they jump the gun early, the hundy will fall thru before the pinch.
If you can pinch the bill, you have cheated.
It will be really obvious if you get said contestant drunk, like Avante on the prowl for underage Asian girls.
While a junior at Baker High School in Florida, sprinter Houston McTear runs a sizzlin' 9.2 at the Florida State Track & Field Championships. How long does it take to hear that sound and then press that start button?
Where on earth did you get this idea timers went with the sound of the gun? THEY WENT WITH THE SMOKE...ok?
Fucking rookies, sheesh~~~~~~~~~~~
Read..
Someone standing on the finish line, 100m away, won't hear the gun until 0.303 seconds after the start. He might see a puff of smoke from the starter's pistol just 0.270 seconds after the gun. Hand-timers were trained to react to the smoke signal.
I'll go slow...
Hand timing was dumped in 1976 as was running yards. Post 1976 it's been about meters and electro timing, and you add 0.24 not 0.27....ok?
But....
It's real had to beleive that Jesse Owens who ran a 10.2 was just a 10.44 guy. That won't win Cali State HS today.
And yes back in those hand timed days it was all about the smoke from the gun not the sound.
Bart Starr was on a better team, yet....Hall of Fame. Terry Bradshaw was on a better team....Hall of Fame. Joe Namath only had one great season....Hall of Fame.
Russell Wilson is histories most successful QB after three seasons. And he doesn't have the leagues best RB, he does have a great defense but no receivers.
So how come playing on great teams didn't hurt Starr or Bradshaw when it came time for HOF voting?
Marshawn Lynch has averaged 79.1 yards a game as a Seahawk. Shaun Alexander averaged 79.2. Curt Warner...72.1. So Lynch isn't doing a whole hell of a lot that hadn't already been done there. Hell, Chris Warren had 4 1000 yard seasons in a row where he averaged around 75 yards a game.
In his first three seasons STRUGGLE Aikman threw 46 INt's and only 31 TD's. hahahaha!!!!!!!! And Aikman had the all time rushing king Emmitt Smith, a HOF receiver, a great TE, a stud fullback and a monster O line. So why is he doing in the HOF?
How many seasons did Peyton Manning have...Harrison, Wayne, Clark and James?
Warner only played in 24 games in his first three seasons, that won't work.
What seems to get lost in all this is how RW walked right in and took over. How many QB's have done that? The great Johnny Unitas was cut. How many great QB's had a rookie season like RW, and then in his next two...SUPERBOWLS.
Rodgers only played in 7 games his first three seasons in the NFL, but is comparable to Wilson but Warner is not despite playing more than 3x as many games.
Not saying Warner had a better 3 year start than Wilson, but to not include him in the list of comparables by your logic then say he isn't comparable by a different logic for which you contradict yourself is asinine. I guess that is right on par for you though.
Warner did not play long enough in the league to rack up top stats, is not eligible for the hall of fame until this August.
Besides, I thought you were only comparing the first 3 years, in one of which Warner was the MVP of the league, something that Wilson does not have (albeit he won the SB, unlike Warner).
Either you are comparing the first 3 years in the league or you aren't.
