WASHINGTON — The special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, has delivered a report on his inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 election to Attorney General William P. Barr, according to the Justice Department, bringing to an apparent close an investigation that has consumed the nation and cast a shadow over President Trump for nearly two years.
Mr. Barr will decide how much of the report to share with Congress and, by extension, the American public. The House voted unanimously in March on a nonbinding resolution to make public the report’s findings, an indication of the deep support within both parties to air whatever evidence prosecutors uncovered.

yep, Mueller has spawned maybe dozens of other investigations, and Dem Congress will respond to Mueller's report by launching even more investigations.
not indicting Trash, doesn't mean Muellers hasn't found Trash guilty, just the Mueller is respecting the controversial idea that a sitting Pres cannot be indicted.
I expect Trash will end up before a grand jury, just like Slick Willy, which SCOTUS has ruled is perfectly Constitutional.

They did. No one knows what is on the report and Barr will try to cover for Trump as long as possible.
But it will come out eventually.
Trump lied about the Trump tower mtg, created a false statement about it. Trump encouraged a foreign power in public view to hack into HRC's emails (felony) and openly obstructed justice.
There is zero chance this report does not condemn Trump for these acts. This report might end up being the

“Maybe he missed the boat here,” Matthews responded. “Because we know about the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016, we know about the meeting at the cigar bar with Kilimnik. It's hardly unheard of for CI investigations to forego prosecution because information required for conviction would compromise national security.
Just spitballing, if in fact a foreign country had compromised high officials in government, revealing that we knew might endanger ongoing countermeasures, intel methods and personnel.

There's a disconnect in this exchange. I don't think WH is saying Mueller won't find evidence of collusion (and I think that's what TSA is alluding to), but that he won't actually charge the president with the crime (which is another can of worms).
I would concur that whatever evidence Mueller finds will end up in a report to Congress, who might or might not make it public when it matters, and might or might not act to impeach (again, a political, not judicial process).
Even if Manafort is not being charged with collusion, that doesn't rule out that Mueller doesn't have evidence of collusion (or that 'he's sitting on it'). He simply feels he has a strong enough case for this particular trial with the current charges.
He could very well be still developing information on the primary investigative target, and trials like these might also yield additional information through plea deals, discovery, etc.
One thing that's been pretty clear from the get go is that Mueller and his team run a pretty tight-lipped ship. Adventuring what might come out, information-wise, as a result of his investigation, is more of an exercise in wishful thinking than anything else.
When the Prez was elected, I prognosticated he would finish his term, and I don't particularly think that outlook has changed. The only thing that could put a dent on that is Democrats winning both chambers of Congress in the next mid-terms (definitely not a given).
Then, *IF* the Mueller investigation does uncover some gross criminal behavior (also not a given), there would be, at least, the political power and momentum to actually go through an impeachment process.
I think, looking at this situation today, the odds are still fairly largely in Trump's favor (even if he indeed colluded). But America loves drama, so sit back and enjoy the show.

They can't show anything. Some stuff will surface due to indictments of third parties, but the final report will go to Congress and then they get to decide what and if it becomes public (which normally does not, or is heavily redacted).
Then it becomes all about what's in that report and who is going to turn a bling eye (if there's anything of substance). Because we all know, historically, eventually these things leak out.

I think the Mueller report will outline a few things...first, it will exonerate Trump of conspiracy charges....I say this because if Mueller had found any indication of a conspiracy, there would have been dozens more indictments today....after all, Trump didn't commit conspiracy alone....so where are the co-conspirator indictments? not there....
My guess is Manfort's close ties to Russian intelligence, giving them sensitive polling data for reasons unknown and Stone's collusion with Julian Assage weren't enough to prove a criminal conspiracy existed...short of Gitmoing the Russians indicted on hacking charges, there was little place else for this investigation to go.....I guess the tea leaves were there when Jerome Corsi and Roger Stone's names came up....the two are wanna-bee clowns...

I don't think he has that power when it comes to the Executive. And I'm not even just talking about the President, but members of the Executive overall. Notice he went after Flynn almost a year after his resignation, and he only charged him with lying (Flynn probably had the biggest question mark as everybody knew he had discussions with the Russian Ambassador).
Don't forget that impeachment applies not just to the President, but "The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States". I would argue that includes any member of the Executive.
So it would be up to Congress to act, *if* there's anything there. But then it's a political process, not a judicial one.

I don't think he has that power when it comes to the Executive. And I'm not even just talking about the President, but members of the Executive overall. Lol talking to the Russian ambassador. How dare he. Issue was that he did not disclose it. Dumb but not criminal
There is nothing to act on as there was no crimes committed. Sure they can try to impeach a president for anything like having orange hair but they wil be handing 2020 to repugs if they do that

My guess is that Mueller found a lot more incriminating about Trash than we already know, but recognized that prosecuting the Pres was not his role (Special Counselor, not Special Prosecutor), but that was the role of the other branches of govt, esp Congress.
Why have Trash and his mafiya been "forgetting", obstructing, lying for two years if there were nothing to hide?
And then of course NY, NJ, SDNY, etc all have their knives sharpened to cut Trash and his org to pieces.
Premature ejac (metaphorical since we all know you Trash defenders/fellators are dickless wimps) as there is much more to cum in the gangbanging of Trash and his mafiya.

This insisting that Trump be guilty or else is beginning to resemble the god of the gaps argument.The emphasis on legal hazard is overrated. Short of legal culpability what the investigation reveals might be fairly serious problems for the USA and for Trump.

Trump needn't be guilty or even indictable for anything for Mueller's report to pose a serious political threat to him.
Consciousness of that is one reason his backers are spinning so hard before word one has been revealed. The gloss that no further indictments amounts to exoneration is premature and might not be sustained.

CNN chief legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin also offered rare favorable commentary regarding President Trump.
"This is really good news for a lot of people around Donald Trump," Toobin told "Situation Room" host Wolf Blitzer earlier. "Donald Trump Jr, Jared Kushner, Jerome Corsi, the writer who had a draft indictment presented to him by Mueller’s office and they decided not to go forward with this.
"Let’s be fair here," Toobin continued. "There has been a lot of suspicion around certain people. And a lot of negative things have been said and imputation of criminal activity.
“Mueller has said, ‘I am not proceeding.’ There is no better news to receive than you are not being indicted by the United States government,” Toobin added.

I believe the Mueller report itself won't show anything that implicates David Dennison. Why? Because Barr, the Rs, and Kavanagh will make sure he's protected.
What he will outline is a blueprint for the SDNY to go after his children, close associates, his businesses, etc. SDNY is the key here, not the Mueller Report.
Barr, et al, cannot do shit about state crimes prosecuted by SDNY.

I also think that SDNY will, at a time convenient that can influence public opinions, will effect the R Senators who are up for re-election in 2020. They're complicit to Trump's shenanigans and will be exposed as such by SDNY. Do they wanna be re-elected or continue to protect Trump?
Right now the R majority Senate is what's protecting Trump. When the Senate is flipped in 2020, his protections are gone - even if he does get re-elected. But if the Senate turns Blue AND a Dem gets nominated as POTUS, Trump = f:lolcked and he knows it.

Yeah, the entire right wing spin is in full force - maybe Barr is also complicit in this - as he probably leaked to the right wingers - some stuff (leaking good now!)
and that last trump interview - trump already knew and he was upset about something (hence the mccain attacks) - and he was happy/confident about something (hence his pre-spinning of "defending myself - is NOT obstruction of justice or abuse of power")
but I knew Barr was a piece of shit and Congress is pretty spineless - so only Mueller's non-indictable - but impeachable conclusions are what is left now.

Barr's memo of June '18
Bill Barr’s Very Strange Memo on Obstruction of Justice
one thing attorneys general of the United States should certainly not do is make up facts.
And ironically for a memo laying out the argument that Bob Mueller has made up a crime to investigate, the document is based entirely on made-up facts. Lederman mentions this point at the outset of his analysis:
the first huge and striking problem with Barr’s memo is that he unjustifiably makes countless assumptions about what Mueller is doing;
about Mueller’s purported “theory” of presidential criminal culpability;
about Mueller’s “sweeping” and “all-encompassing” “interpretation” of the statute and Constitution;
about “Mueller’s core premise[s]”; . . . about “unprecedented” steps Mueller is proposing to take;
about “Mueller’s proposed regime”; about “Mueller’s immediate target”;
about Mueller’s presumed failure to “provide a standard” for what constitutes “corruptly” trying to impede proceedings;
about Mueller’s “demands” that the President submit to interrogation; etc.
To read this memo, you’d think Barr were replying to a legal brief that Mueller had submitted in support of a prosecution of the President for obstruction of a federal proceeding.
Yet as
Barr concedes at the outset, he was “in the dark about many facts.”
Indeed, he presumably was “in the dark” about virtually everything he wrote about.
From all that appears,
Barr was simply conjuring from whole cloth a preposterously long set of assumptions
about how Special Counsel Mueller was adopting extreme and unprecedented-within-DOJ views about every pertinent question and investigatory decision—and
that Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein was allowing him to do so,
despite the fact that Mueller is required to “comply with the rules, regulations, procedures, practices and policies of the Department of Justice” and
to “consult with appropriate offices within the Department for guidance with respect to established practices, policies and procedures of the Department.”
Indeed, it is not an exaggeration to say that
Barr’s entire memo is predicated on two broad assumptions:
first, that he knows Mueller’s legal theory, and
second, that he understands the fact pattern Mueller is investigating.
“It appears Mueller’s team is investigating a possible case of ‘obstruction’ by the President predicated substantially on his expression of hope that the Comey
[sic] could eventually ‘let ... go’ of its investigation of Flynn and his action in firing Comey,” Barr writes in his second paragraph.
https://www.lawfareblog.com/bill-barrs-very-strange-memo-obstruction-justice (https://www.lawfareblog.com/bill-barrs-very-strange-memo-obstruction-justice)
iow, Barr should have recused himself, but legal ethics are anathema to Repugs, and Barr is 100% suspect as Repug political shill
The emphasis on legal hazard is overrated. Short of legal culpability what the investigation reveals might be fairly serious problems for the USA and for Trump.
Another gap
Trump needn't be guilty or even indictable for anything for Mueller's report to pose a serious political threat to him.
Consciousness of that is one reason his backers are spinning so hard before word one has been revealed. The gloss that no further indictments amounts to exoneration is premature and might not be sustained.

I’m not saying there was criminal conduct, that’s something Mueller knows. Clearly he tough it was specious enough to lie about it. However, being this was a Russian collusion investigation, he obviously was a guy that had direct dealings with Russian government officials, that’s what I’m pointing out.

The last vestige of hope for Russian truthers. Maybe someone can find something when the Mueller report gets released. Maybe Mueller missed something? Maybe Mueller dropped clues for other people to investigate?
