Let us proceed...
According to the Biden White House, it costs (at a minimum) $37,012, per year, to house a federal inmate. Multiple that by the 80 criminals deported, it comes to $2,960,960.00. Subtract the cost of the flight and we just saved $2,108,960 per flight.
Annual Determination of Average Cost of Incarceration Fee (COIF) (https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2023/09/22/2023-20585/annual-determination-of-average-cost-of-incarceration-fee-coif#:~:text=Based%20on%20FY%202021%20data,%2437%2 C012%20(%24101.40%20per%20day).)

That's going to be difficult. This isn't January 19, 2025 anymore. Daily crossings are already at pre-Biden levels and dropping.
But, if they manage to cross, again, I'd be in favor of spending another $10,650.00 to send them back.

Before when? Before they attempt to cross the border again? That's a them problem...not a US problem. If you're talking about crimes they may commit after sneaking back in? It's a chance I'm willing to take. I suspect there will be a lot fewer, out there committing crimes, than there are today.

And one day, too late, your principles, if you were ever sensible of them, all rush in upon you. The burden of self-deception has grown too heavy, and some minor incident, in my case my little boy, hardly more than a baby, saying ‘Jewish swine,’ collapses it all at once, and you see that everything, everything, has changed and changed completely under your nose. The world you live in—your nation, your people—is not the world you were born in at all. The forms are all there, all untouched, all reassuring, the houses, the shops, the jobs, the mealtimes, the visits, the concerts, the cinema, the holidays. But the spirit, which you never noticed because you made the lifelong mistake of identifying it with the forms, is changed. Now you live in a world of hate and fear, and the people who hate and fear do not even know it themselves; when everyone is transformed, no one is transformed. Now you live in a system which rules without responsibility even to God. The system itself could not have intended this in the beginning, but in order to sustain itself it was compelled to go all the way.”

Well, here's a few things we do know.
1) House Speaker Pelosi declined National Guard support 3 times, leading up to January 6th.
2) An unarmed Ashli Babbitt was the only person who died from violence on January 6th. They hid her shooters identity as long as they could and then, Biden pardoned him on the way out the door.
3) It's still unclear how many FBI "assets" were present that day and whether or not they were involved in inciting the crowd. The DOJ Inspector General say there were at least 26 FBI informants there.
4) Capitol video from the day was selectively edited to make it appear the protestors overran Capitol security when a look at the hundreds (may thousands) of hours of video show where Capitol Police moved barricades to allow entry and appeared to be giving guided tours to protestors.
5) Biden found it necessary to pardon all the politicians involved in the January 6th committee. Why?

A United States military flight carrying illegal migrants departed for India on Monday as the Donald Trump administration intensifies its crackdown on undocumented immigrants, an official stated, according to news agency Reuters.
Trump had pledged to carry out the largest deportation in American history, and the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has compiled an initial list of nearly 18,000 undocumented Indian nationals, among 1.5 million individuals marked for deportation.

A federal judge on Wednesday ordered a second nationwide pause on President Donald Trump’s executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship (https://apnews.com/article/birthright-citizenship-trump-executive-order-immigrants-fc7dd75ba1fb0a10f56b2a85b92dbe53) for anyone born in the U.S. to someone in the country illegally, calling citizenship a “most precious right.”
U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman said no court in the country has endorsed the Trump administration’s interpretation of the 14th Amendment.
“This court will not be the first,” she said.
She added: “Citizenship is a most precious right, expressly granted by the 14th Amendment to the Constitution.”

already fudging the numbers, in the most crassly misleading way possible -- taking credit now for actions that happened years ago
News of mass immigration arrests has swept across the US over the past couple of weeks. Reports from Massachusetts to Idaho have described agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (Ice) spreading through communities and rounding people up. Quick Google (https://www.theguardian.com/technology/google) searches for Ice operations, raids and arrests return a deluge of government press releases. Headlines include “ICE arrests 85 during 4-day Colorado operation”, “New Orleans focuses targeted operations on 123 criminal noncitizens”, and in Wisconsin, “ICE arrests 83 criminal aliens”.
But a closer look at these Ice reports tells a different story.
That four-day operation (https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-arrests-85-during-4-day-colorado-operation) in Colorado? It happened in November 2010. The123 people targeted (https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ero-new-orleans-focuses-targeted-operation-123-criminal-noncitizens) in New Orleans? That was February of last year. Wisconsin (https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-arrests-83-criminal-aliens-and-immigration-violators-4-day-wisconsin-enforcement)? September 2018. There are thousands of examples of this throughout all 50 states – Ice press releases that have reached the first page of Google search results, making it seem like enforcement actions just happened, when in actuality they occurred months or years ago. Some, such as the arrest of “44 absconders” (https://www.ice.gov/news/releases/ice-fugitive-operations-team-arrests-44-absconders-illegal-aliens-nebraska) in Nebraska, go back as far as 2008.
All the archived Ice press releases soaring to the top of Google search results were marked with the same timestamp and read: “Updated: 01/24/2025”

what bullshit
The lawyer noticed a strange pattern. In almost every state, at least one press release from Ice’s website appeared in Google’s top results. Nebraska, for example, surfaced links for two press releases. One said “ICE executes federal search warrants in Nebraska”, the other said “ICE fugitive operations team arrests 44 absconders”. Both displayed their dates of publication as 24 January 2025 on Google search. But when the lawyer clicked through to the report, the actual dates of publication were August 2018 and June 2008, respectively.
“I’ve now done it in all 50 states … and I’ve done it in multiple cities. And it’s the same thing,” the lawyer said. “They all had the last update of 1/24/2025 and they were all popping up at the front of the algorithm.”
Maria Andrade, a longtime immigration lawyer in Idaho, says Ice arrests have been scant in the state so far. “We had one that didn’t result in detention,” she said. “I haven’t heard of mass arrests in any area at all.”
Yet the first result for a Google search of “ice arrests Idaho” is a press release from Ice saying 22 people were arrested in an “enforcement surge”. The date of publication displayed in the search results is 24 January 2025, but the operation actually happened in July 2010. Andrade said that arresting 22 people would have been a high number for Idaho and that such incidents are extremely rare, given the minimal number of Ice agents, rural terrain and extreme weather. If so many people were arrested in one sweep in Idaho last month, she said, she’d know about it.

A Reagan judge spells it out
In a Seattle courtroom late Thursday morning, Ronald Reagan-appointed U.S. District Judge John Coughenour issued a nationwide injunction from the bench prohibiting the government from enforcing the executive order signed by President Donald Trump on Jan. 20.
The judge had sharp words for the effort to do away with the long-established constitutional right — an effort that has itself become sharply divisive.
“It has become ever more apparent that to our president, the rule of law is but an impediment to his policy goals,” Coughenour intoned. “The rule of law, according to him, is something to navigate around or simply ignore.”
“Birthright citizenship is a fundamental constitutional right,” Coughenour said. “The 14th Amendment secures the blessings of liberty to our posterity by bestowing on all those born in the United States and subject to its jurisdiction the right of citizenship. We are all citizens subject to the rule of law. No amount of policy debate can change that.”
The judge said the government is attempting to issue “a constitutional amendment under the guise of an executive order” and said that effort “is equally unconstitutional.”

What horseshit, by the plain language of the 14th amendment and according to ~ 160 years of precedent, anyone born in the US is a citizen.
That's where people [meaning legal scholars - not you and me] disagree. Lino A. Graglia, University of Texas Law Professor holds that the 14th Amendment's Citizenship Clause was not intended to grant citizenship to the children of individuals who entered or remained in the country unlawfully. He contended that extending birthright citizenship to such individuals is an irrational public policy that incentivizes illegal immigration. He and other scholars believe the questions of birthright citizenship centers around the constitutional language, "...subject to the jurisdiction thereof..." Everyone agrees that merely being born here [your scholars and mine] agree there are two parts to birthright citizenship. 1) You have to be born on U. S. soil and 2) you have to be subject to the jurisdiction thereof.
The disagreement come with what is meant by #2. However, if you ask the author of the 14th amendment, he would clearly tell you the 14th amendment applies only to people under the FULL jurisdiction of the United States. If you want to understand the difference between full and limited jurisdiction, I suggest you do some reading. Bottom line, for those relying on the case of United States v. Wong Kim Ark as proof that illegal alien babies are automatically citizens, courts and other legal experts (not me) claim the U.S. Supreme Court doesn't discuss the births of illegal aliens in this ruling or any other ruling made since the 14th was ratified. Therefore, the question needs be answered and Trump's Executive Order will be the vehicle by which this question can be answered.
He has some great legal minds and a body of law to support the position that babies, born to illegal aliens, on U. S. Soil, are not automatically citizens because they are not fully subject to the jurisdiction of the United States of America. I agree, there are great legal minds on the other side. That's why I'm trying to be reasonable with you and not claim your position, in opposition is "horseshit." It's not. It has support. The question has never been taken up by the Supreme Court. Perhaps it will now. US v Ark only addressed the status of children born to legal immigrants.
Infants born in the US to "illegal aliens" are citizens and explicitly have been since the 1860s.
See above.
Read the Congressional Globe from the time, they debated this and they knew what they were doing. There's zero ambiguity as to the intent.
I've read the opposing view, I simply disagree after studying the matter. May I suggest you re-read the Constitution. Then, read the 14th amendment's author's (Republican Senator Jacob Howard's) intent by including the language "...subject to the jurisdiction thereof...," finally read what people with an opposing point of view have to say, such as Professor Graglia.
I'll help you out and tell you what the author said about the matter of jurisdiction but, if you won't take my word for it, look it up. They're in the Congressional Globe, as well. Just not the discussion forum but, in the actual Congressional Record.
When asked, in 1866, to provide specific insights into the phrase, "subject to the jurisdiction thereof," he said:
"Simply declaratory of what I regard as the law of the land already, that every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States."
He further clarified that this provision would:
"Not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons."
Remember, Ark was born to legal immigrants. That's the distinction that needs to be clarified by the courts. Trump's executive order is the vehicle being used to get it in to adjudication. Now, maybe we'll get an answer.
I'd be interested to know how your sources at the Congressional Globe forum parsed that language to mean anything other than that babies born to illegal aliens are not automatically granted citizenship.
I'll wait for the U. S. Supreme Court to weigh in before I declare your position "horseshit."

No, it's been debated since it was ratified. It only picked up steam when illegal immigration became an issue in the 80's. The pejorative term "Anchor Baby" arose in the 90's. The left's Dreamer Act and attempts at amnesty and other machinations to allow illegal aliens to remain in the U.S. caused Trump to take up the matter in his first term though, he never followed through. I think Biden's throwing open the doors of the border just cemented the opposition to finally get the courts to shit or get off the pot on whether or not babies born to illegal aliens are automatically citizens.
It's in the hands of the courts now.

I think Biden's throwing open the doors of the border just cemented the opposition to finally get the courts to shit or get off the pot on whether or not babies born to illegal aliens are automatically citizens.
It's in the hands of the courts now.Pass a new amendment with your ghost language that apparently couldn't be written back then.

US officials kept around 100 deported Indian migrants in shackles for their 40-hour flight home, including during bathroom breaks, in the latest incident to spark anger overseas at President Donald Trump’s migration crackdown.
Indian lawmakers demonstrated outside parliament on Thursday, some wearing shackles and others mocking the much-touted (https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/22/politics/trump-modi-morrison-share-stage/index.html%E2%80%99Treated) friendship between Trump and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Trump orders U.S. to prioritize refugee resettlement of South Africans of European descent
President Trump on Friday directed government officials to prioritize the resettlement of South Africans of European descent through the U.S. refugee program, which he suspended during his first day in office.
In an executive order, Mr. Trump accused the South African government of discriminating against Afrikaners, an ethnic group in South Africa made up of descendants of European colonists, mostly from the Netherlands, who first arrived there in the 1600s.
Until the 1990s, White South Africans of European descent ruled South Africa, enforcing the brutal system of apartheid against the country's Black majority.
But Mr. Trump alleged in his order that White South Africans are now the targets of oppression by the country's government, citing a law that U.S. conservatives like Trump adviser and billionaire Elon Musk have said allow racially motivated seizures of land owned by White South Africans. Musk was born in South Africa.
South Africa's government has strongly denied any land confiscations or racially motivated discrimination, saying the law being scrutinized targets land not being used or not serving the public interest.

The U.S. Supreme Court will ultimately decide whether or not the infants of illegal aliens, born on U. S. soil, should be awarded citizenship. Probably because Obama and Biden actually deported the shit out of illegals within the constraint of keeping people actively working our fields, factories and construction sites relatively untouched.
There is no such thing as open borders. There is no such thing as the USA losing clout or getting strong armed by other nations in trade deals. Our allies actively work to prop us up in exchange for our military presence (mainly) and our economic trickledown. It's the Roman empire x100. Instead of Italy you've got a nation with plentiful natural resources who are more than willing to trade with you in exchange for you playing the capitalist game in which we're way better positioned than you.
I understand as always you're aware of this but it bears repeating. Trump wants to pump those numbers up but it isn't possible to do orders of magnitude better without fucking businesses and consumers small and large alike.

A third federal judge on Monday blocked President Donald Trump’s executive order ending birthright citizenship (https://apnews.com/article/birthright-citizenship-immigration-trump-20919d26029cf0f98ecb0dc7f90a066b) for the children of people who are in the U.S. illegally.
The ruling from U.S. District Judge Joseph N. Laplante in New Hampshire comes after two similar rulings by judges in Seattle and Maryland last week.
Laplante, who was nominated by Republican President George W. Bush, said he wasn’t persuaded by the Trump administration’s defense of the executive order. He said he would issue a longer preliminary injunction later explaining his reasoning.

the notion that crossing a border is as big of a deal as plotting 9/11 or bombing the USS Cole is bonkers
Over the last week, the United States government has sent more than 80 men to Guantánamo Bay as part of a larger plan by the Trump administration to hold as many as 30,000 migrants at the Naval base. So far, all the detainees are believed to be Venezuelans. Some are being held in a prison building (https://www.nytimes.com/2025/02/05/us/politics/migrants-trump-guantanamo-prison.html) on the base, while others are detained at the Migrant Operations Center, a dormitory-style (https://www.nytimes.com/2024/09/19/us/politics/migrants-guantanamo-bay-cuba-detention.html) facility. (Mr. Castillo is being held at the migrant center, according to D.H.S.)
U.S. troops are building a tent camp at the site in an effort to vastly expand its capacity to hold detained migrants.
The Pentagon has described th (https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/4054676/department-of-defense-announces-arrival-of-high-threat-illegal-aliens-at-guanta/)e first few Guantánamo arrivals as “high-threat illegal aliens” and their detention at the base as “a temporary measure.” But the administration has not released any details proving the men have criminal records or described how officials determined they were a threat.

sinister scapegoating and McCarthyite smears, this is an old playbook
In a statement to NPR, DHS spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said there is "a system for phone utilization to reach lawyers" but provided no additional detail. The government has not released the identities of the migrants sent to Guantánamo, and several of their family members say they have made repeated calls to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to inquire about their relatives, to no avail.
McLaughlin's statement also said: "If the AMERICAN Civil Liberties Union cares more about highly dangerous criminal aliens including murderers & vicious gang members than they do about American citizens -- they should change their name."
