I like traveling. My only concern about driving is that I would get lost. Although I am much better with finding my way then I used to be.

I remember I missed an entire gtg because I drove around for the full first half of the Spurs basketball game trying to find the restaurant, before giving up.
If memory serves it was on San Pedro.

You should travel as much as possible now before you have children. The roadtrip we took this summer was possibly the 2 greatest weeks of my life. I saw a countless number of amazing things in that stretch. I constantly look back over the pictures that we took and I still freak out when I think about all that we saw.

One of the best things about living in Santa Fe now will be how central we are to a lot of camping and hiking locations. We're within a day drive of so many great national parks.

I find it very serendipitous how we ended up in New Mexico. The first week I met Jekka she went to Santa Fe and I remember her constantly telling me how she loved the state. Its a fairly amazing place.

Seattle is probably cheaper to fly to than drive when you consider how much gas it takes to get there. It's beautiful up there, though - that was one of my favorite family vacations. We flew up and then rented a car in Seattle, drove all around the Puget Sound area and then took the ferry to Victoria and went to Vancouver. Now you have to have a passport to go to Canada, but it's worth it to have one anyways.

Neither Bo and I are big wine drinkers, although Olive Garden has a dessert wine that we both really enjoy.

But I love wildflowers so the trip would be worth it for that alone.

I saw in another thread Ploto mentioning something about it being nice in Tyler during the first week of the month with exhibits and all, so that is another possible destination.


The place I most want to take Bo is to Disneyworld because he has never been and I know he will have a fantastic time.
If we came into some money, I would like to splurge on that and on taking us to Slovenia.

I saved the life of a baby turtle a couple of weeks back. The old lady and I were strolling down a walking path near our house and I noticed a small turtle, about the size of a silver dollar, on the path. I thought it was dead but I picked the little bastard up and his legs starting going. I took him to the pond that was near and put him near it.
