or OKC trading away Perkins to get Gasol.

Okc has moved on. That meeting with Brooks did them in.

Waiting for LA to renounce him so he can make his decision.

Seeing if they can work out a S&T, if not, they will renounce him.

I think it would be a mistake to trade away Cojo imo, the rest can go.

Cojo is on his way to being a very solid two way rotation player. I hope Anderson works out well, but I don't see Pop using him as a pg, not at first anyway. With Patty being out, Cojo is going to be counted on.

I agree, but the lakers would want something of value for helping the Spurs, if they do a S&T. Cojo is the Spurs best expendable asset right. I hope it comes to Pau just taking the MLE if he joins the Spurs.

Pau would give the Spurs insurance if Timmy or Splitter gets a serious injury. I can't seeing him pick a team where he would come off the bench. Pop isn't going to guarantee him a starting gig.

No way. My wife is from Ukraine and she has traveled all over Europe and the US and San Antonio cultural wise is her favorite here in the states. There is a reason why all the Spurs int'l players love it there. I have been to Spain and most of its larger cities are like SA in that it has a small town feel and a lot of Cultural. Chicago is my favorite downtown in the US, but hell no is it as diverse as San Antonio unless you are talking about getting some Irish whiskey and a deep dish pizza.

I wish Melo would decide what the hell he is going to do already. If Gasol thinks he is going to win in Chicago, he is dreaming. Even with Melo, the Bulls are not going to be title contenders. If he leaves for Chicago, obviously he cares more about money than winning. I don't know why this is such a hard decision for him. The longer he waits, the more likely he is going to go somewhere else.

That means if Pau chooses Chicago, they would have to deal away either Boozer or Gibson. Sad thing is LA is desperate for players, and Chicago has already stated they would rather trade away Boozer than amnesty him. Of course this doesn't matter if he picks San Antonio initially.

Are these players in the top 3 ever to come from their respective countries to play in the NBA? It's amazing, even if we don't land Gasol.

In my opinion, 4 are no brainer number ones.

France - Tony Parker, Boris Diaw
Argentina - Manu Ginobili
US Virgin Islands - Tim Duncan
Spain - Pau Gasol
Brazil - Tiago Splitter
Italy - Marco Belinelli
Austrailia - Patty Mills

That means if Pau chooses Chicago, they would have to deal away either Boozer or Gibson. Sad thing is LA is desperate for players, and Chicago has already stated they would rather trade away Boozer than amnesty him. Of course this doesn't matter if he picks San Antonio initially.

LA is just re-signed with Nick Young (4 years 22 million) and Jordan Hill (2 years 18 million) They also get Jeremy Lin with their cap space.

So when you sum up these, they have no place to absorb any player of Bulls.

And they don't need to sign&trade with Gasol and get back another 7-8 million contract.

I'm nearly 100% certain that today's other transactions mean that the Lakers can no longer do an S&T with Gasol. Gasol will sign as a free agent with another NBA team.

The Cavs board was camped out for over 3 years waiting for a decision from Lebron.

You think I'm kidding, but there is a thread with over 23,000 posts over there on RealCavsFans.

Ever since Oberto left, Manu hasn't had a native Spanish speaker in the team.

You got two guys who speak French, a guy who speaks Portuguese, another who speaks Italian .... c'mon... give Manu a break... get a native Spanish speaker in the team!
