He was also injured for a while. Maybe the freshmen get really way behind if they miss. But I believe in what 4ever says. Herman seems to make everything a competition.

“I like him (Coach Washington),” Cook said. “I’ve watched some videos of him coaching 1-on-1’s, and you can see the development. He’s helped with technique change, so you could say he’s a technically sound guy.”

“They’ve been getting some guys,” Cook said. “It’s good that Texas is keeping some of the top talent in Texas. I feel like Coach (Tom) Herman is going to do something special. We’ll just see what happens.”

“He (Al'vonte Woodard) recruits me every single day,” Cook said. “Every time I put something on Twitter or Snapchat, he always hits me up about Texas. He tells me to come with him and texts me all the time about UT.”

“I know those schools (Ohio State and UT) can get me to the league, so the biggest factor is just where I feel comfortable,” Cook said.

One of the national writers for 24/7 (Wiltfong) has reason to believe UT could be DE Ronnie Perkins' leader after he takes an official visit to UT next weekend.

He was quite high on OU before Stoops retired, but things are much more open than they once were.

It's also helping UT's case that LB Ayodele Adeoye has been recruiting him hard since he committed to UT.

Per 24/7, a new name to know is DE Eyabi Anoma of Baltimore, MD.

Anoma said recently he's in constant contact with the UT staff, but the report mentioned his offer status is unknown at this point.

He's thought to be an Alabama lean currently, but he plans to take all five official visits and won't sign early, so UT has a lot of time to work this one if they choose to do so.
