-nobody was more impressed with the weekend than S BJ Foster of Angleton. A source said they're surprised he hasn't pulled the trigger yet, and Texas is expected to be his pick once he makes a commitment this summer.

-UT is the team to beat for ATH Jaquayln Crawford and the staff wants to take all three of him, ATH Justin Watkins and WR Jaylen Waddle. Many have been under the impression the staff wouldn't be able to pull that off or may not have room, but Crawford being able to play both sides of the ball makes him a safe take.

-speaking of WR Jaylen Waddle from Bellaire Episcopal, the word is Texas has a "commanding" lead behind the scenes, but he doesn't want to make a decision until after his senior season.

I hope Leiatao makes it in, although I'm not super optimistic that's going to happen. Sounds like he's got a lot of factors helping him but bargaining down to a misdemeanor will be tough. I'd still take him with a felony charge for selling drugs since it's non-violent but I think Herman doesn't think it's worth it from an optics perspective, which I get. I have zero tolerance for violent crime, but drugs are just a different story to me. Selling drugs doesn't make you a bad guy imo, but it's definitely stupid. Cases like Mixon (misdemeanor charge) are 10x worse to me than this felony charge, but law enforcement sees it differently unfortunately.

If anything, give it to the "first time" dealer who could use the family structure. If all is as it seems, it stinks. Let him go to the SEC. Baylor or Oklahoma. He will be fine learning his lesson elsewhere. If he is really a good kid he can prosper elsewhere.

Think about the kids kids who come from really rough backgrounds who do bypass all the shit and do the right thing. Reward them.
