LOL well I don't claim to be an expert, but I feel like I know a good amount. Just don't ask me about whites because I don't like them. I can drink a Pinot Gris but thats about it. Ive gone to a few wine tastings and have read up a little. I mean I can't tell you what year the grape peaks at or anything, but I can recommend some good red's.

Generally i prefer reds - Pinot Noir, Cabs, and Zins. I enjoy Syrah or Petit Syrah every now and then as well. Whites i don't care for too much, outside of Rieslings and an occasional Sauv Blanc. Champagne, however, is probably my favorite. I have a few bottles of Mumm Napa and Domaine Carneros by Taittinger ready for New Years.

I stuck to beer, but with all the microbrews and brewing kits, beer has become a science and art form in its own right, though obviously not on the level of wine. So, I decided if I can handle that, I can take a foray into wine. We'll see what happens.
