What would happen if when people came up and asked me if I know where such and such is if I answered, " Nope. I don't know" and, when pressed, insisted, " I really have no idea!" ?

I am tempted to conduct the experiment of answering always and only " No" for the last hour and a half of my shift.
However, I fear I have been too well trained and will continue to parrot out the correct answer, even involuntarily so.

I filled in for someone as a favor today and ended up having to deal with our corporation's witchiest customer.


When she first approached my counter, a security officer was already standing there talking to me with two frowning small kids- kids who could have been lost or sick for all she knew having just arrived on the scene.

Did she wait patiently while I helped the little kids? No!

She stood there loudly finger tapping on my counter and even went so far as to attempt to talk over the officer when he was instructing me about the kids.
Keep in mind that I had already acknowledged her presence, as much as the circumstance would allow.

The lady then proceeded with the finger tapping while bitching about how it was taking me five whole minutes of her oh so precious time :rolleyes to complete her transaction.

Ironically, 3 of the 5 minutes were taken up due to her insipid insistance that I give my full attention to her incessant complaining!

Uh, trying to work here lady.

She concluded by threatening to take her business elsewhere.

If this had been a solitary incident, I would not be so irate. But this woman is historically a drama queen who treats all our salespeople as her majesty's :rolleyes servants.
Of course given that, I should not be surprised that she acted as she did today.

My friend's band opened up for Adler's Appetite last night. Obviously, this band features former G n' R drummer Steven Adler, most recently seen on Celebrity Rehab and Sober House. He seems fairly functional behind the drumkit these days, but who knows what was going on in the tourbus before and after the set.
Oh, and regarding the band's set itself: it was an hour of my life that I'll never be able to get back ever again.
