Yeah, I'm a big defender of Romo, but yesterday was just bad. His accuracy was off big time. I don't know if it's his back, his not practicing regularly, or just one of those games.
he always kinda sidearms it, but that one he threw at Bryant into triple coverage was probably the dumbest throw I have ever seen.

It's just one game and the Niners are very good ... but those picks ...smh.
I Predicted 6 wins but that may have been optimistic. It's almost like he should have had some reps in the preseason after not playing for half a year. Romo flat out sucked, but JG is still a retard.

Probably true but no excuses. he needs to be better. And our coaches need to do better as well. Even if you take away the picks and Murray fumble the penalties are inexcusable. Especially by Witten and Tyron Smith. Tyron was putrid after signing a big contract as well. I am sorry but Jerry, Stephen and JG need to be held accountable when talented players under-achieve.
No accountability in this organization ...PERIOD.
Tennessee will be tough so will Rams but they need to win BOTH road games to make up for such a shitty performance.
Oh and double teams are a weak-sauce excuse on why Dez could not get open. Calvin Johnson, AJ Green all get doubled.

Positives:
Ro McClain thumping them 9ers
D technically gave up 21 points

D gave up 215 yards 1st half; 104 yards in 2nd
Murray had 22 - 118 yards - 1st 100+ v. SF in 17 games

Ditto. Diff this year? We can run the ball and take pressure off Romo. But will we? 22 carries has to be a career high for Murray. Gotta hold onto the damn ball though. SMH

If you'd told Cowboys fans that the defense was only going to give up 14 points, they'd have been really happy.
:bang Play action on obvious running plays, where you can see from the replay that the back would have gotten easy yardage, only for Romo to throw into triple coverage. I'd wish for him to take a big hit, but the guy backing him up is even worse and JG will still let him throw the ball 40 times a game. It's interesting when your two favorite teams are the Spurs and the Cowboys, one of the smartest and one of the stupidest teams in sports, respectively.
Jason Garrett said that they're committed to running the ball this season. Someone should tell him that doing it between the 20 yard lines isn't commitment, it's just stat-padding.
They moved their coaches and play-calling around during the offseason to emphasize getting the play in to the QB faster. Romo still ran the clock down to 2 seconds or less the whole game.
I loved when the Cowboys were down inside the 5, and Romo called timeout. He probably asked what the hell that personnel package was on the field. It's the I formation, Tony. That extra guy behind you is a fullback, and no, you don't throw to him.

I wish I were that confident that he won't play like this again. I'm way past defending him for the stupid decisions he makes with the ball. These aren't interceptions off a tip, they're throws into double and triple and quadruple coverage on first and second down.
I erased the game from the DVR too quickly so I can't go back and look, but I think all three of his picks were on play action fakes during rushing downs. Again, that's not commitment to the run, that's using the run when it's easy to try to make your fakes more convincing, but the Niners didn't look to be fooled for a second, as they never looked like they were expecting a running play.
Dez Bryant is out of the game and you still try a back-shoulder throw in the red zone?

Yeah, it's pathetic. Romo can't see the play unfold using the majority of the field, yet you want him to squeeze in a pass into a pass expecting defense with only 15 yards to work with..SMH.
I hope to god Romo has a repeat performance in Tennessee..as some of the others have said, I have typically stood by Romo, but the line has been drawn. I want him to take his fantasy football dream stats and shove em' up his ass with a disgraced exit from Dallas.
They'll end up paying him for the next 3 years just like the other 20 players from the late 2000's Dallas is still paying..

No argument here. Romo played horribly. I gotta think that he won't repeat that performance - unless he is not as healthy as the Cowboys are leading us to believe. I'll reserve judgment until I see him this Sunday. 2 bad games in a row? Things will go downhill from there given their schedule: With the 1st pick of the 2015 NFL draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Jameis Winston, QB, FSU. :lol

I don't see how his health plays a factor in his performance. He was moving around just fine out there, maybe he's not in mid season form, but I don't see how his back will cause him to see Dez in triple coverage as a better option than Williams on the single covered deep route.
If I was Dez and he injured my back on that play, I'm giving his bitch ass a black eye when we get to the locker room.

It seemed that a bunch of Romo's passes on Sunday were lofted and lacked the zip of his past years. I noticed he was not setting his feet before these throws. I hope he really can make all the throws, because these lobs will never make it to the receivers before the "windows" close. Since I saw very little of training camp, I wonder if his mechanics are back yet.
Bryan: I believe the observation that you had of his game against the 49ers is the correct one. The best example of that to me was the third down throw across the middle to Cole Beasley (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/cole-beasley/6e53e694-ce2e-4523-8502-b90b16f24127/) late in the game. It’s a throw that Romo has made a hundred times, but in this case his left foot was wide open, as were his hips. His momentum was all going to the left trying to make a throw that required him to be square to the target. He tried to throw the ball by flipping it and it was way too high. What was strange about his game is that if you look at the early throws to Williams and Bryant on the slants he was right where he needed to be.
David: Jerry Jones talked about this a bit on his weekly radio show on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday. He pointed out that Romo’s longest gain of the day, a 57-yarder to Dwayne Harris (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/dwayne-harris/9b00b4f8-7c68-442c-8d8e-5323d8596f06/), came on a “duck” of a throw. This raises some pretty obvious questions about whether Romo is rusty after a limited preseason, or if he is still feeling the effects of his back injury. I saw him make enough good, accurate throws during training camp that I’m willing to chalk it up to rust. But it’s something to keep an eye on.

Bryan Broaddus has some good analysis on Romo's INT's:
Two of the three interceptions Tony Romo (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/tony-romo/172ae69b-87c1-49f5-a2e6-5ed85b6d5dfc/) threw in this game were just outstanding heads up plays by the San Francisco secondary. On the first pick of the day, the 49ers were in a single-high look with Eric Reid down in the box on the left side of the defense. Dez Bryant (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/dez-bryant/e61ca891-9bbe-4449-98b1-d7837f6e4874/)’s route took him right to left across the secondary. Tony Romo has to believe that Reid is going to stay down and play to the curl or flat, but instead he retreats directly back into the crossing Bryant. On the play you can see that Reid is reading him all the way by his reactions.
On the interception by Perrish Cox in the second quarter, Romo’s third of the day, the Cowboys lined up with Jason Witten (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/jason-witten/0597e391-ded8-4e9e-9eaf-51c4b5d5b6d6/) and Gavin Escobar (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/gavin-escobar/5f700b99-4ed5-481e-800f-81aacdf745f5/) tight to the formation on the right side. There was no receiver to that side of the formation, so on Witten’s release, Cox worked inside with him -- along with safety Antoine Bethea. Cox, looking back at Romo noticed that Dez Bryant had beaten cornerback Dontae Johnson and had moved on to Eric Reid. Looking inside, Cox turned his head back outside to track the ball and cut off Bryant. Cox was underneath Bryant as the ball was coming down and was able to get his hands up to finish the play with an interception.
It looked like Romo was looking for Bryant again on the audible that led to his sack near the goal line. It’s never a bad idea to try and get the ball to Dez Bryant when inside the five-yard line, but in this particular situation it was the wrong decision.
Chris Culliver and Eric Reid lined up playing coverage on Bryant inside and out. The options were limited with Bryant on the outside. Inside the box Romo was faced with six 49ers defenders, but he was able to match them with five offensive linemen and Jason Witten as a blocker. When the ball was snapped, the line and Witten all came off the ball like it was going to be a running
play. Murray even started toward the line and created a pocket for Romo to put the ball in, but that never happened.
Romo’s eyes went directly to Bryant, who was working to get away from the coverage, on the outside left. Along the offensive line, Tyron Smith (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/tyron-smith/9355eb13-012a-4e9a-ab54-320cce7d65b2/) had stepped hard inside right, which allowed Justin Smith to swim over him and take a direct path toward Romo -- who was waiting to see what was going to develop on the outside. Bryant was caught in no man’s land on the route and Smith was able to finish the play and sack Romo.
If Romo had handed the ball to Murray going to the right side, the only defender that might have had a chance to stop him was Ray McDonald -- who was locked up with Zack Martin (http://www.dallascowboys.com/team/roster/zack-martin/683d0ebc-6c47-4dfb-ab36-ce11302eb879/). I like my chances with Murray and a head of steam to get that one yard for the first down, or even better, find his way into the end zone.

Regarding Romo, I think it's just going to take some time to get rid of the rust. He had zero time during OTA's and was very limited during the preseason. I saw some better things from him yesterday, like being able to move more in the pocket, but he still has some work to do.

Fantasy Football owners who drafted Romo thinking he's gonna go for his usual 30+ TD's better drop him while they can.. Unless the OL goes down, I can see a lot more bus driving from him from here on out.
Not only was the attack balanced, but Dallas killed Tennessee in time of possession. Limiting the D's time on the field, and when they are on the field they are playing above expectation. Back at .500, can the Cowboys shed the 50/50 curse and string together more than a couple of wins??
Best D-Line in football or not, the game in STL is very winnable, especially when you're averaging more than 5 YPC.

But, maybe you're right, he's probably spectacular now.
Not spectacular by any means, but solid in the slot.
Yeah, he hasn't been "spectacular," but he has been the best CB on the team. He's been solid.

I think he's fine. He had a bad game. Everyone talks about his back, but nobody mentions he is also playing for his 3rd offensive coordinator in as many years..he will get in a groove. The running game improving is going to help this transition big time.

I like his attitude. It's good to have a guy in the defense not afraid to hit people, and actually have the body to do so. Claiborne likes to hit, but he injures himself nearly every time he tries to light someone up.

He also didn't play football for 9 months, and was very limited during the preseason. I think Romo will get better as the season progresses (of course barring any injury). He did look a little better against the Titans, although his accuracy and zip were still off a bit.

Yeah, you're right because he's supposed to be opposite DeMarcus Lawrence..if you think about it, the defense is in a good position at the moment. They are playing above expectation while remaining injury free so far, and they are going to be working in Spencer, Lawrence, Scandrick, and Melton here in the next several weeks.

Agree with trill. The gameplan was executed perfectly. Our defense isn't bad anymore (it's actually 12th ranked in total yards allowed). We're ranked 2nd in yards rushing. We're finally getting what we wanted. I'm of the opinion that Romo has a few games left where he can perform well...just not right now...let's milk this running game for all it's worth while we get some defensive players back and Romo heels up.

Romo's back is fucked - don't mind him missing an early practice. Dez is nursing the shoulder injury and Mcclain is an old man and given a free pass to recooperate as well. BRANDON WARREN
DENVER, CO
Guys, do you view Romo's back surgery in the same light as Peyton Manning's neck surgery? It did take Manning a full year almost to regain the zip on the ball. Should we have the same view of Romo?
Rowan: That’s an interesting thought, but I don’t think we should have the same view of the two. Manning’s greatness in his ability to diagnose and sit in the pocket to throw. He’s not moving around a lot and gets the ball out quick. Romo’s greatness is in his ability to buy time and turn nothing into something. That requires a lot more moving around, which is tough to do with a bad back.
David: That is a great point that, to be honest, I had forgotten about. Manning did take some time to get back to being himself in 2012. I do think Jason Garrett has a point when he says it’ll be a process for Romo to work himself back all the way from the injury. My question is, can he make progress on that during the grind of an NFL schedule, especially if he’s taking new hits every week?
http://www.dallascowboys.com/news/article-Mailbag/Mailbag-How-Much-Can-Late-Additions-Help-The-Defense/872b5e7f-9c82-437d-ad40-2a649855f856
I think he's on to something here, and something that I never really though about. It took Peyton awhile to get back to himself, and people thought he was done after that surgery. Perhaps the same could be said about Romo.

Jerry running his big mouth as usual...
"Claiborne's demotion came a few hours after Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show that the third-year cornerback had not been worth the sixth pick of the 2012 draft, which Dallas moved up to acquire.
"Is he what we had hoped for at this point when we drafted him with the sixth overall pick, giving up the [second-round] pick to go up to the sixth pick to get him? No," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. "But he's going to be a good player."

Too early to give up on completely. But Claiborne needs to realize this is the best thing for him. Needs to start from scrath. He should go back to LSU in the off-season or go workout with a good vet like Champ Bailey or Charles Woodson. Focus on technique and getting his body healthy. I wont make excuses for him I was yelling at the TV last sunday he sucks!!! but kid has been hurt every year and he never in camp so has missed so mich coaching and development and he really never earned his starting spot which is on the coaches too. if he is demoted to Nickel or Dime corner and earns his way back as a starter it will be well deserved. Cowboys did not do him a favor by not forcing him to compete for and earn a starters spot. Our whole defense was so bad (still is mediocre) it has hidden how much he has struggled. Gotta get his technique fixed and his confidence back. Also extra film study. He has talent.

I’m going to play a hell of a lot of plays for this team. I’m going to play a big, big role for this team – in this game to come and in games down the road,” Claiborne said. “I’m a grown man, and I’m here to stand up and fill the shoes that I need to fill and do whatever I need to do for this team.”

This is his last chance this year as far as I'm concerned. He's a complete bust at #6 overall, and the typical Jerry result when he tries to move up in the draft or package picks for players.
Dude is a certified autistic, can't cover without interfering, shows no ability to see a play develop, can't tackle and when he does he injures himself, and now he's an attitude problem.

I'm hoping that he'll actually use this as motivation to improve. This will show what he's made of. I think since he was basically handed the starting job without earning it that he's been entitled and hasn't even tried to improve. Being injured at the beginning of every season doesn't help matters either, because you lose a lot of the learning time. Hopefully this will be a good motivator for Mo. Now lets break down the last 6 years of drafts..
The Good:
Dez Bryant - tbh, a down syndrome could have drafted him, so no credit to Jerry.
Terrance Williams - better than last year, but the increased runs have limited him over the first 3 games.
Tyron Smith - played a damn near perfect game against STL. He's a beast and getting better in his technique.
Travis Frederick - Will be the center for the next 8 years at least.
DeMarco Murray - His ability has never been a question, but his durability is. Sounds strange saying, "NFL's leading rusher" DeMarco Murray IMO. Hope he can keep it up.
Sean Lee - I had a hard time deciding on whether to include him because of his injuries, but I don't regret him as a 2nd round pick.
Zack Martin
The Bad:
Gavin Escobar - Wouldn't be on this list if he was drafted in 4th or later IMO.
B.W. Webb - 4th round picks should bring value. Should have been a 6th round project pick if not undrafted.
J.J. Wilcox - He is not the solution at safety. Another project, this one in the 3rd
Matt Johnson - Another waste of a 4th rounder
Tyrone Crawford - Can't see him sticking around after this season
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah - Waste of a 4th round pick on a project corner
Bruce Carter - Showed promise as a rookie, but has fallen off the last couple of seasons. Had a great game against STL, hopefully it wasn't a fluke.
The Ugly:
Morris Claiborne - Moved up to 6th. Smh.
The entire fucking 2009 Cowboys draft. Not one player still w/ the team.

TBD:
Demarcus Lawrence
Solid analysis. But to me the issue with Escobar is not on him. Fasano though no star still plays in the league, and MArty B has been a fine contributor other places. To me the coaching staff has never figured out how to properly utilize two TE's. I thought he was drafted to high in draft night, but figured we were going to run a NE type system which we still do not see. Tough to call Escobar a bad pick when we dont utilize him with the skillset he was drafted for.

Don't need mo. Patmon,Carr, scandrick and Moore will be fine
We have decent enough corners to play aggressive more times than they've shown. I still don't know what the fuck this defense gets by playing ultra conservative. I almost knew the Saints would put points up on the board in a hurry. Thank god for our running game and these young and lively offensive linemen are something else.
Sucks that the defense can't stay healthy. Claibornes injury doesn't impact this team as much as Carter's.
The Cowboys-Texans game should have its own thread imo. Two decent teams by record, and it doesn't get bigger than football in Texas.

No plans to purchase playoff tickets yet. Team is banged up on a improved but still limited defense. But if Murray, Romo and the OL can stay healthy we can be dangerous. I agree wouldnt mind another high pick (3rd) next year on an OG and move Martin outside ...

bill callahan is coaching his ass off. he sucks as a play caller but you can't deny he doesn't know how to coach up an offensive line. we'll see what this team is made of in the next 2 weeks. i think they'll go 1-1 in the next 2 games, beating the texans at home and losing to seattle on the road.

Yeah, I said in another thread that I'm not going to get overly optimistic. The Cowboys have been known to be wildly inconsistent. The moment we begin to believe in this team they go out and lay an egg. I'm hoping the trend ends this season.

There are concerns that Murray may get burned out at this pace, so hopefully Randle gets a few more carries as the season continues. I like what I've seen from him, he's finding the holes and has shown some quickness I think only Dunbar can match. Which brings us to the offensive line..
http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol
They are really starting to make some noise as arguably the best unit in football. Three first round picks invested with an average age of 24.8 years old, things are looking really good for the future of the Cowboys line. They do need to work on their pass protection, ranked 26th overall having allowed 8 sacks, but I think they will get better as the season goes on.
You got Tyron Smith pretty much locking down the blind side, and he's showing his dominance against some of the better ends. His technique against STL was perfect. His feet are moving well, his explosion at the point of attack is crazy. I'd like to know what he's benching at the moment.
Travis Frederick might be "slow", but his intelligence is already proving invaluable. He has made maybe 2 mistakes that I can recall w/ the Cowboys, one being the botched snap Sunday. He isn't the most naturally gifted athlete, but he is finding a way to block a second guy consistently..I was fucking crunk during the STL game when DeMarco broke a big run up the left sideline, and you see big ass Travis Frederick running w/ a head of steam looking to block 30 yards down field..he ended up tripping Murray and we missed the TD, but gave me memories of Larry Allen tbh.
Zack Martin has fit in nicely at guard, and his athletecism on the right side has been the difference in the run game this year (other than calling run plays). Now you can actually get yardage on the right side of the field, which makes the cutback with DeMarco so deadly. Whenever the offensive breaks a decent run, I rewind it a few times to see what led to the run. From what I've seen, his fool Martin is mauling dudes, opening some fucking nice holes for the backs. He routinely takes their lineman completely out of the play. Jason Witten helping seal the right side..game over. They are really making Doug Free look better than he is IMO.

The Cowboys receiving corp is producing about what you would expect from a group w/ that many weapons. I really like the way this squad looks in the singleback formation with Dez and Williams out wide. Pick your fucking poison..they both run the fade really well, make great adjustments back to the ball, and if Williams continues his recent play, both have the ability to catch nearly everything in 1 on 1 situations. They are better than last years squad with Williams running more efficient routes and making tough catches, plus the upgrade with Devin Street as the fifth receiver. He's gonna come up big out of nowhere in his 3rd year IMO. I can see a three headed monster on the horizon as the offensive line builds chemistry and the pass protection improves.

Overall, the defense is playing great. Considering the injuries, a lot of credit goes to Marinelli for getting these guys to produce. McClain and Durant have also been big thus far. The Cowboys aren't getting enough sacks, but they are pressuring the QB. Hopefully with Spencer's return we can get to the QB more. They are also giving up a shit ton of pass yards, but to have the worst to the 8th ranked defense in the league, even if it's only 4 games in, is huge.

Great post. :tu

I'm surprised at how large the gap is in carries between Murray and the rest of the RB's. I thought going into the season that it would be a little more equal. I thought we'd see a lot more Dunbar than we have. He was getting start treatment during preseason too, so it made it seem like he was going to be featured more. I wonder what changed.

Yeah, the drop in carries to Randle is crazy. I expected Dunbar to take on a bigger role this year, but Randle has looked good in the pre-season and when used this season. He must be killing Dunbar in practice because he pretty much replaced his role this season.

Dallas Cowboys (http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/_/name/dal/dallas-cowboys) safety C.J. Spillman (http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/12903/cj-spillman) is being investigated in connection with an alleged sexual assault at the team's hotel last month, according to Grapevine, Texas, police.
Police spokesperson Barry Bowling said a report was filed Sept. 20 and that the matter is still under investigation. Spillman hasn't been charged or arrested.

One of the things that Garrett has actually brought to this team is fight.
On that note, there's a rumor going around that during the Bye Week Garrett is going to receive a contract extension of 5 years. I would hope they'd put it off until later in the season, just in case they go 8-8 again or worse.. but oh well.

And he should have. The home games have been an embarrassment this year. Witten called them out too, and a defensive player (I think R. McClain) did after week one. It's sad when home games look like away games. Cowboys get more support and vocal fans at away games, tbh.

There have been too many times this season when I didn't feel like he was really seeing the play develop, and it caused him to take a crazy angle to the ball or miss a tackle. He was a much better player in space today, and by playing that way it allowed him to finish more plays. It was a nice step in the right direction." - Bryan Broaddus

I can't believe what a huge difference McClain makes on this defense. You can see it whenever he's out. On both of the Texan's TD drives he was out, and their run game really gashed the D a lot more when he was out. Hopefully this new groin injury won't keep him out of any games. We'll need him against Seattle.

Fuck yeah, good to have big linebackers. Parcells loves the huge 6'4", 260 lb beast linebackers, and you can see why. He isn't fast, but sees the play develop, and you're gonna feel it when he hits you. I wonder if Lee can play the weak side when he returns..
Also, Cowboys should return to the 3-4 IMO..the personnel works better with what we have at this point.

First time DeMarco is held to less than 5 YPC..he still finished 2nd among weekly rushing leaders (1st A. Foster). He is now leading the NFL w/ 670 yards. That's a good 200 yard cushion over Le'Veon Bell. When asked how he felt after the game, he said he "felt good".
Other thoughts:
-Bruce Carter is tied for 77th in the league lead for sacks (Cowboys sack leader)..DeMarcus Ware is in a 5 way tie for 6th with 3 sacks thus far..The Cowboys have not been able to get to the QB this season, but you can imagine how complete this team can be when they start to invest on the defensive side of the line like they've done with the offensive line.
-Ian Rappaport is reporting the Cowboys have offered DeMarco a 4 year extension "better than what any free agent RB received in 2014" - Glad to see the Cowboys are getting smarter w/ their contracts, no more fucking 7 year max deals on positions easily replaced in the draft. Would be nice if the 4th year is a team option IMO.

i would keep demarco on the field when you need pass protection and use dunbar for some rb screens or in the run game. linehan bragged about how much of a weapon dunbar was going to be and we have yet to see him used in that capacity. but, its still early and i'm sure they'll find a way to mix him in. i just want demarco to be fresh if, IF, we make the playoffs.

And it's not just Witten, but Dez and Harris have been very solid in blocking downfield. The improvement has been evident all over the field, tbh.

I'm not expecting much from the Cowboys this week, tbh. Seattle is a tough place to play much less win. The past few times the Cowboys have been dominated there, so I won't hold my breath.
BTW, what's with the Cowboys playing in Seattle every season?

Well, technically you didn't play in Seattle last year. But, I know what you mean. This year will be the third year in a row that we've played in Carolina. We've won the first two though, so hopefully we continue that trend.

I had to go and look up the recent W/Ls.... I think the 2012 meeting permanently scarred me, because I could have sworn the Cowboys had been beaten down every single time they've played except for the WC meeting (:depressed). Although the 'boys wins were at home and not in Seattle.

DJR210
10-12-2014, 06:57 PM
:lmao who would have thought.. 5-1 fucking Dallas Cowboys. Thorough domination of the Super Bowl champs.. Not gonna start talking shit just yet, but damn Dallas is looking pretty damn good so far.
Some thoughts:
Orlando Scandrick is playing some of the best football in his career. The big play he gave up down the sideline in the 1st quarter wasn't really poor coverage, but more so a nicely executed play by the offense. He was screened off his man at the start of the route, but did a good job of making it back to push the WR out of bounds. He continued to make plays, and his stop at the end of the game was one of the reasons the Cowboys were able to hang on.
Regardless of the Escobar touchdown, I can't understand why the Cowboys continue to focus on passing in the red zone. Empty gun 2 yards out? I know the Seahawks did a pretty good job for the most part stopping DeMarco from getting a big hole, but damn.. DeMarco is good for a 2 yard run w/ the way he is finding ways to get positive yardage even when it doesn't look like it's there.
Dan Bailey becoming the most accurate kicker OOT in 100 attempts is pretty sick. I scoffed at the extension he got in the offseason, but it's nice not having to worry about blown points on missed FG's.
Pass protection today was on point. After a shaky start over the first 4 games, they are improving as I expected. Especially excellent protection on the Witten TD. Romo had over 5 seconds of clean blocking to read the play and find Witten in the endzone.
Terrance Williams is an absolute beast. This kids concentration level is unreal. What a fucking play, these are the types of plays that great teams make. Finding ways to extend drives, and ultimately this paved the way for the upset. :tu He needs an extension really soon.
The special teams coverage unit is fun to watch.. they have a shit ton of athleticism on the return team, even Randall is getting in on the action now. Stopped one of the most elusive return men in Harvin behind the 20 consistently.
Cowboys again not sacking the QB, but against Wilson it's to be expected. A lot of pressures today from Spencer, Mincey, Crawford, and although we couldn't record a sack, the pressures led to dropped or missed balls for the Seattle receivers.
Didn't escape the game completely healthy as Romo took more shots than we would have liked, and was visibly limping at times, and Doug Free was hurt. On the bright side Rolando McClain was able to escape the game w/o re-aggravating the groin and now will have a week to get even stronger.

I think Demarco's workload is a big red flag at this point... he was already leading the NFL in carries by a mile and got 29 more today... he's currently on pace for 424 carries which would set an NFL record (larry johnson had 416). Johnson had 41 receptions that season, Murray is on pace for 48.
Larry Johnson noticeably declined after that season, and its not like Murray has been a poster-child for durability. They need to give Randle more carries or they're just going to wear Demarco out
