Few comics perform standup comedy as if they were arguing a case before a jury. For Al Lubel it is completely natural. Daughter... labor for 17 hours. I was already on bed rest so I was at home...my water never broke, my doctor had to stick that long pointy stick up there to do it. WTF? :lol

Son ... came on like a hurricane. Serious labor starting at about 5:00am--I think it started earlier but I was trying to sleep through it--got to the hospital at 7:00am already 8 cm dialated and totally effaced....but I MADE them give me an epidural even though they typically won't do them after 4cm. So that slowed him down considerably, he was born at 9:12 or something like that.

I didn't have an episiotomy with either, but tore and had to get stitches each time. Judging by the much quicker time my second one decided he wanted into the world, if I dare have another one, it'll probably be out of my body before I even know what's going on.

Weird, though...my first was a week early, my second was a week late.

Now they'll give you an epidural up to 8cm's.... and they just started giving them really early.. When I had Isabella last April they wouldn't give it to me untill I was 3cm's.... but my Doctor said that now I could get it ASAP. :tu
