Those movies always make me cry....and I hate crying. :lol

aww man, you can't watch them at certain times of the month. That's for sure!

But my FAVORITE Lifetime movie of all time is the Betty Broderick movie. I've seen it a gazillion times and watch every time it's on. It's a classic!

I dunno...I'd be too afraid of the mess I'd come home to if I were gone for any length of time...... :wow :lol

Seriously. My office is always a mess. That's a given and will never change. But the rest of the house is pretty neat. That is until 3pm every day. Then the cycle begins.

And the dog is pretty messy too. Her toys are everywhere. And she's a thief!

So, are "real" women messy or organized?

I say organized women are certainly more attractive. Especially when they have their own little personalized calendar that they use on a regular basis. :lol

I've never been able to keep a personalized calendar. I'm organized, but not that organized.

Shelly,
I just bought a Swiffer Wet Jet today. I remember from a previous thread that you bought the swiffer sweeper and the wet jet. Do you like them? I'm going to try mine out tomorrow. But before I invest in the sweeper I wanted to ask about that one.

The wet jet works really well! And I love the vac also. My only complaint about it is that it has a small container and if the filter gets clogged, you'll lose some suction. But it's easy to clean, so not problem! It's battery charged and it lasts a pretty long time.

I heart them so!

Well, with the six month old boy (who is now 20.2 lbs and 28 in long, I'm gong to rent him out as chocks for 747's) having a cold and sneezing green beans and mangos all over hell's half acre, trying to clean the floor is a lot like that deal that Sisyphus cat had to deal with.

might I point out that although the vBookie title was "Eagles over Falcons" it was actually a over/under bet.. nto a bet on who would win or by how much.....

:lmao Falcons wont 14-10. Do you even watch football or did you just randomly pick the over/under? Because if so....winning $500 is pretty damn good.

The title wasn't "Eagles over Falcons". It was:

Monday, Sept 12, Eagles vs Falcons

Each vbookie on NFL football is either just win/loss, spread, or over/under. This one was over/under.

kicker guys?

Kicker :

Another term for a hick or a redneck. The term is usually used for high school guys. They tend to wear their Wranglers inside their boots and they are all seen dipping at school at least once. They are also loud, they drink a lot of alcohol, they're wanna be players, and they all drive loud trucks with sound systems. Also, they all have stickers of the rebel flag somewhere on their truck, and they always yell "GIT HER DUN"!!
I went to Walmart the other day and I passed a bunch of kickers that were dipping by their trucks

yeah something like that its really delish though
It's gross. I tried it once.
Here's a recipe.

Genuine Haggis (from Michael Prothro, [email protected])
1 sheep's stomach bag plus the pluck (lights, liver and heart)
1 lb Lean mutton
6 oz Fine oatmeal
8 oz Shredded suet
2 large Onions, chopped
Salt and pepper about 1/4 pint beef stock. Soak the stomach bag in salted water overnight. Place the pluck (lights, liver and heart) in a saucepan with the windpipe hanging over the edge. Cover with water and boil for 1 1/2 hours. Impurities will pass out through the windpipe and it is advisable to place a basin under it to catch any drips. Drain well and cool. Remove the windpipe and any gristle or skin. Mince the liver and heart with the mutton. (Add some of the lights before mincing if you wish.) Toast the oatmeal gently until pale golden brown and crisp. Combine with minced mixture, suet and onion. Season well and add sufficient stock to moisten well. Pack into the stomach bag, filling it just over half-full as the stuffing will swell during cooking. Sew up the bag tightly or secure each end with string. Put an upturned plate in the base of a saucepan of boiling water, stand the haggis on this and bring back to the boil. Prick the haggis all over with a large needle to avoid bursting and boil steadily for 3 to 4 hours. Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Menudo is a wonderfully aromatic soup made of tripe, hominy and chili, and is stewed for hours with garlic and other spices. the broth is rich, red, papery, and glistens with fat. It stimulates the senses, arms the insides, and clears the head.
Menudo is served in big open bowls brought to the table steaming and fiery. It is usually eaten in the wee hours after a night out on the town and widely proclaimed to be an antidote for hangovers.
Mexicans brag about menudo's goodness, about how the hot broth with its medicinal condiments, particularly the chili, replenishes vitamins A and C, soothes the stomach, and stimulates the gastric juices to overcome any loss of appetite.
Wherever there's a Mexican community, there's menudo.

A large saucepan (see note below)
1 calf's foot (about 1 to 1 1/2 pounds)
2 pounds honeycomb tripe
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic, peeled
6 peppercorns
2 teaspoons salt, or to taste
4 quarts of water
A comal or griddle
3 large chiles anchos
A spice grinder
A large chile poblano, peeled or 2 canned, peeled green chiles
The calf's foot
1/2 cup canned hominy (1 pound) drained (see note below)
Salt as necessary
1 scant teaspoon oregano

Have the butcher cut the calf's foot into four pieces. Cut the tripe into small squares. Put them into the pan with the rest of the ingredients. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Lower the flame and simmer uncovered for about 2 hours, or until the tripe and foot are just tender but not too soft. Meanwhile, toast the chilies well. Slit them open and remove the seeds and veins from the chile poblano, cut it into strips, and add to the meat while it is cooking. Remove the pieces of calf's foot from the pen, and when they are cool enough to handle, strip off the fleshy parts. Chop them roughly and return them to the pan.

Add hominy and continue cooking the menudo slowly, still uncovered, for another 2 hours.

Add salt as necessary. Sprinkle with oregano and serve (see note below).

This amount is sufficient for 7 or 8 people. It should be served in large, deep bowls with hot tortillas and small dishes of chopped chile serranos, finely chopped onion and wedges of lime for each person to help himself, along with Salsa de Tomate Verde Cruda to be eaten with tortillas.

ObiwanGinobili

here's anothe variation of Menudo

3 pounds tripe
3 pounds nixtamal (hominy) frozen, not canned
3 pounds pigs feet (not calves) cut into quarters
1 large onion diced
1 bunch green onion cut up in 1/4" pieces
1 bunch of cilantro chopped
2 tablespoons Oregano
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
1 head of garlic
2 tablespoons salt

Wash tripe thoroughly, remove excess fat and cut into bite sized pieces, wash nixtamal and pigs feet well and combine all ingredient in a large pot with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil and simmer slowly until corn opens and is cooked (not overcooked). Skim off grease. It is best if you can refrigerate it in order to remove all grease.

Serve with fresh cilantro, chopped green onion, chiltepin, limon and toasted bolillos.

Buen provecho!!

well I can't decide between an apple, a pear or a peach....

i liek peaches, but if they've been thru a frost they are all grainy on the inside .. mealy kinda... and you can;t tellthat just by looking at them.
so i may be in possesion of a whole bag full of shitty peaches.

dilema
