I know a girl whose parents gave all their children different last names and no first names -- literally. On their birth certificates their first name was blank (her social security card had "X." for her first name). The parents' logic was that the kids could "define themselves" as they grew up.
What was especially screwed up was, they gave them messed up last names. For example, her sister's last name was Cinderella.

If you have a common last name, come up with a less-used first name.
If you have a unique last name, come up with a common first name.
Do not name anyone something you just made up.

:lol Sorry I'm a little late posting on this topic (I was at lunch :)) But reading your post reminded me of a funny story. I remember back when I first started college, we had to take placement exams, and my friend, Christine, sat near me. Anyways, you know how on those standardized exams, you have to write in your name in the box and then fill in the corresponding bubbles? Well, apparantly they didn't have enough boxes, and she could only fit in part of her name: She ended up only being able to fill it to "Christ."
She's turns to me and goes, "Oh no, I can't fit my whole name! I'll have to be Christ for the day, you think they'll give me bonus points on the exam?"

So on the way home from Trinity last night/early this morning I'm driving along, it's probably like 2:20am...so there's hardly anyone on the road. I'm driving down NW Military towards Wurzbach and it's 35MPH right there, well being so late and such I was going like 50MPH.
I didn't see the cop on the other side of the road until it was too late to break and the whole time I'm thinking "please don't make a u-turn, please don't make a u-turn" and of course he does and comes up behind me, right on my ass. By this time I'm going the speed limit and everything, but the dude is still tailing me. Finally, he turns on his lights and bright ass spot light and pulls me over.
I had just paid my first ever speeding ticket less than 3 months ago(or rather the court fee and defensive driving fee), so I knew I couldn't afford another one. I was ready to bust out the tears and plead for mercy...but I guess I had luck on my side last night. The cop asked for my license and asked me if the car was mine, I mistakenly said "Yes, ma'am" (D'OH!) then profusely apologized. Then he gave me some speech about the speed limit law needs to be obeyed and all this. I was just waiting for him to break out the ticket notepad thingie but he just handed my license back to me and said "okay" and got back into his car and drove off. WOOHOO!
Maybe I should go buy a lottery ticket :lol
Anyways just thought I'd do my part to keep the thread going! :)

I can't believe you only got off with a warning!:wow
Maybe he didin't have you speeding on his radar long enough to get you. ..... but he obviously knew you were speeding.
just for future reference.... don't speed late at night when your the only person on the road: it means your the only person available ot be pulled over. :princess

since you're all *chicken* (that better??):lol I'm gonna jump in and confess:oops
my last ticket was Feb. 2004. I got it in a spitshit piece of rd FM 616 between Blessing and Markham where Jackson and Matagorda counties meet. That's right - the one cop for 50,000 miles pulled me over as I crossed the county line for goin 69 miles per hour.
Apparently the speed limit is 70 in Jackson county, but 65 in Matagorda county. :wtf?
bastards.
What really sucked is the whole road was torn up on both sides for 1 mile becasue they were widening it and adding a shoulder : and there was no posted speed limit! :ugh!
Meanwhile the cop made me late for my midwife apt. (in Baycity)... I was able to do defensive driving. Which I had to do the last week of April '04 when my daughter was 3 weeks old.... i spent most of the time behind a partion in class with my breast pump. :lol
I would've fought this ticket, but I noticed that the Judge and the cop have the same last name, hte courts hours were for 3 hours a day on WEd. Thu & Fri, and less then 500 ppl. live there......... so I doubt some chick from San Antonio was gonna get off.

Can't believe they don't have any Spurs ones! :depressed
Maybe they figure that the Spurs have too many Real Woman fans that don't be needing to show-off an over abundance of belly.

Yeah, but they make their merchandise very well. ;)
I guess it doesn't matter if it's not official, as long as it looks cute, very well-made, and looks like the Spurs' Spur.
