Watching Arci and Forbes you can tell they are good prospects, but Murray is a freak. Pairing him with Chip and Pop is the best thing that could've happened to him.

Murray has to have an amazing summer league, while Parker has to bomb out in the Olympics and the start of the season for him to have a shot at the sl. Imo

07-07-2016, 06:55 PM
Sure. He does have a knack to get to the rim tho.
The great news is he is playing with the best PG finisher maybe ever to play the game in TP. He can learn so much from TP with Murray's physical tools. How to finish like a pro, in traffic, at a high level.

Not TP just yet, but Simmons if we could get anything for him -alone or in some package.

Kyle defense is just horrible. Going for pump fakes. Letting guys drive by him. Even though he has the length and wingspan, I just don't know if his defense can be fixed because of his foot speed.
If this was the RS, Pop would have called the Danny Green TO and sat his ass for the rest of the quarter. Until Danny brain farts again and Pop has to put Kyle back in...

He has a good foundation for a solid tear drop as well. TP was/is more was the master at that maneuver.
I hope the whole team takes this kid under their collective wing and place on the path to success for the team.
Murray is obviously a project and won't be ready for a few years. Players with that athleticism and size (at the PG spot) don't fall to 29 in the draft unless there's something wrong with them.

No kidding man. He's fearless. First game in the pros and he's showing he belongs. He rebounds elite for a guard, he's got elite physical tools for a guard, and has elite quickness, not to mention he's a monster in transition if he doesn't force it.

This Murray kid is 19 years old! I can see a similar Relationship with Murray and Pop that pop has with Manu, just out of control but does good things. Only difference Manu wasn't as raw because he was playing over seas for some time until he came over here

From what I can tell is that Murray brings his shot further back than the 90 degrees hes suppose to or at least what you're taught to shoot like.. Almost like he's bringing it to his brow and then pushing the ball. If that's the case then that's super fixable with reps and time.

That's what I'm saying. Give this kid minutes and lots of them. No matter where it's from. Lot's of coaching.
He has nuclear amounts of talent to give to this team, if it can be properly cultivated and channeled.
This may be Pop's second most important coaching project (Kawhi being 1st and successfully done) in his career.

Interesting. Dijon in place of Simmons... How much worse could it go and it does give Murray more minutes with the real deal Holyfield.
Kyle Anderson is the Steve Bilko of pro basketball.
Bilko was one of the best minor league home run hitters in history -- for the old LA Angels of the Pacific Coast League in the 50's. Before LA had the Dodgers he was the toast of the town.

Murray is the truth. Gonna be an allstar one day. When they do a look back on this years draft in 15 years he should have been a top 5 pick.
Its the leonard situation all over again. Bad shot, etc makes them fsll in the draft but the intangibles and physical attributes are there. He will be a polished diamond in 5 years time.
Couldnt have been happier the guy i wanted drafted fell to 29. If he was off the board i wanted patrick mccaw.

Indeed. I saw Murray's swiftness and immediately thought of that. I think Pop gives him a chance, training camp and all, but he's definitely got to compete for his spot and there is a pool of talent this season that wasn't there last year, and all guys are younger than him, for a better shooter: Bertans, who might even be a better SF, bc he has legit size, for a guy with quickness with a lot more upside/youth: Dijon. Guard who can shoot lights out: Forbes.... He's got to be moved b4 they league figures it out. Here he is with a bad gamble, 4 fouls.
