I am shocked she's doing so poorly. This was supposed to be her one to win.
Check out this link. They seem to be ahead of every channel by at least 3 thousand votes.

Of course its bullshit.
The only reasoning I keep reading is that Trump will just call him a socialist and that will just do him in. It might initially but that stuff wears thin as you go further in. It's like Trump calling Hillary crooked. It worked at the beginning but the overall theme was she was just an extremely shitty candidate. Nothing to do with label.

I also worry that despite Bernie having a good shot at beating Trump, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll do well in the senate. Moderates seem to do better in getting out the vote en masse. 2018 is a great example of that.

As long as Klobuchar is in the race, Bernie will benefit since she’s taking votes away from Buttigieg. Pocahontas needs to drop out at this point. She finished 4th in a New England primary and is only going to get worse from here on out while she’s the only one taking votes away from Biden.

I think all the Warren progressives have already defected over to Sanders and if they haven’t they definitely will now.
Sanders needs a bit of a perfect storm at least through Super Tuesday in order to win though, this was not a great night for him and the turnout should be a major red flag.

Yeah looking at the numbers, it looks like there were a lot more moderates voting than progressives, plus this was mostly a white state so you’re right about not being a great night for Bernie. He’s gonna be in the top 2, but he needs to expand his base in the party or he’s not gonna win. The only question is which moderate will be his biggest competitor.

I think if he got his coalition of fiercely loyal supporters from 25-30% of the primary electorate to 35-40% he could replicate what Trump did in 2016 but I’m not sure what the path is. Four years ago everyone thought it was as simple as “Trump has more votes going against him than for him so he’ll lose once they find a mainstream Republican for the other 60% of the primary voters to unify around” and it never happened because it’s a slower and more dynamic process.
Primary voters like high school drop out Tryquesha Jefferson who has the reading ability of a 5th grader don’t see things in terms of “well I’m a moderate so I need to pick the moderate!” Over time the candidate who’s winning the most votes gradually gets more of an advantage because of fundraising and name recognition imo.

People (at least white people) are nervous as shit about replicating 2016 and picking a candidate who loses to Trump so they’re more indecisive and unsure about things than they’ve ever been in a primary. If you look at exit polling most of Buttplug’s voters didn’t decide on him until the last minute and likely did so after the message of him being “electable” had been crammed down their throat leading up to Election Day.
Its why I’m still hopeful Bernie can pull it out - his supporters vote for him because they like him and the other candidates are all trying to run on the platform of “I might be a total piece of shit but I’m electable.” At some point the candidate who actually inspires more people should win out.

Bernie will keep on doing interviews like he did last sunday - and I see that Bernie NOW gets it -
he knows how to answer now:
example: Question: "blah-blah SOCIALISM - blah-blah- how do you defend - blah-blah?"
Bernie: "trump took 800 million from the govt for his corrupt businesses - trump gave farmers billions - that is Socialism!"
"only difference is - trumps tax cuts for the rich - is Republicans believe in socialism for the rich!"
question: "blah-blah you once defended Dictator blah - from blah-blah -how do you defend blah blah?"
Bernie: "c'mon - that was in 1974? - did you also find my 3rd grade essay I wrote? - look - Trump cozies up to putin and kim jong un and he defends them and attacks our allies......"
As long as Bernie stays on this track - he will be the nominee as more people "get it" -
the way to beat trump is easy as shit - IF YOU FOCUS ON HIS CRIMINALITY!
If I ran against trump - and he attacked me - my first response would be:
"i have a question for you mr trump - why did you have unprotected sex with a porn star while melania was pregnant with your child? Did she get tested afterwards? Did you? Did your son?"
next time he attacked me - I would respond by:
"why did you stand next to putin and defend russia? did you accept any money from russia? are you aware of ANY GOP member - that accepted anything of value from russia - either thru the NRA or directly from the kremlin? will you explain to the american people why you chose to believe russia over the usa?"
I would be like a pit bull - over and over and over -
any question directed at me - would be automatically returned in the form of a question to trump:
"what about your health care plan?"
answer: "I would have the bestest, free, health care plan on day 1 and would never even explain how to pay for it - thats how it works isnt it - mr trump?"
Bernie got this - if he can withstand the Democrat/Bloomberg/DNC attacks.

Economically National Socialism was a boon for Germany. Got them out of depression (Germany reached full employment in 1936 when the rest of the world was still coming out of the Great Depressiom much more slowly) and led to massive advancements in infrastructure (the autobahn was built by the nazis).

This is huge news if true and obviously proves foul play, because why else would the DNC be involved in a partnership with an app developer to develop a smartphone app that fundamentally changed the way its first state primary caucus votes were reported? State party leaders are usually given carte blanche to do stuff like this on their own.

i also still dont understand these conspiracy theories because none of the reported results and mistakes therein came from the app itself. its one thing if the errors (votes going the wrong way, etc) were the result of an "app glitch" or something. instead the app just totally failed (an embarrassment to be sure) and wasnt able to report anything

Come on by, say hi to uncle Joe, and grab one of our free AOL CDs," Biden says in an ad for his campaign tour. "You know, the great thing about AOL is that you get so many hours of internets. Only squares use Compuserve, Prodigy, or MSN. We're keen on America Online!"
The campaign has warned that it's first come, first served, so you'd better hurry if you want to experience the lightning-fast speeds of AOL's 56K dial-up service.
"I love America Online," Biden continued as he booted up his Windows 98 PC. "Every time I hear that grinding, beeping sound while trying to get on the internet, I just know that I'm about to experience the world wide web at a rate of one web page per hour."
His wife then screamed at him to get off the computer as she was expecting a call. "Well, I'd better go," Biden said, chuckling. "But remember, for the fastest interwebs in town, come see Uncle Joe. You won't regret it -- probably."
Rally attendees will receive their choice of a CD or 3.5" floppy disk good for a free trial of AOL dial-up service. Joe will then say hi and shake their hands "and maybe more if you're lucky."

i think warren will get some shots at bloomberg, but for the most part i think think they're going to be too busy ganging up on sanders.
warren's post-new hampshire speech mostly sounded like a concession with her aching to endorse klobuchar... and just yesterday she jumped on the bandwagon of saying Bernie "has a lot to answer for" with respect to his twitter fans. bloomberg also recently released an online ad attacking the same thing. they still never really neatly put away the whole "bernie said a woman cant win" story. it has faded away, but they never had any kind of real reconciliation, at least publicly.

her policy positions are definitely left of the establishment, but her rhetoric lately hasn't matched it. theres that culinary union in nevada which basically said they dont want M4A. bernie supporters on twitter apparently let them have it, which naturally blew up into a story on its own.. and her response to that was
1227771973079650304
the key word of "affordable" health care seems like an even further pivot from her original M4A position. if your policy position fundamentally differs from that union, i dont see how you can really take that position unless you're just trying to play both sides
and she's been leaning into the "girl power" angle quite a bit, separating her and klobuchar from the pack on more than one occasion. of course there was also the whole "bernie doesnt think a woman can win" stuff. nothing of substance, pure political stunts imo
for most of this cycle i had been fully behind warren and contributed to her campaign before anybody else, but imo she has run a pretty poor campaign since she peaked a few months ago. i had worried about this too, back when she released her DNA test results, i was even saying then that she'd be my preferred candidate on policy but that i thought that decision showed poor judgment and i was skeptical of her ability to campaign well
she'd still be my 2nd choice from this candidate pool right now, but doesnt have a realistic pathway to the nomination, and is just playing spoilers imho

one fair criticism on this topic is that he had promised to release his medical records following his heart attack. while he has released some things, its not nearly at the scope which was expected following his promise. and now he has seemingly backtracked on doing so.
and i get that a full release of medical records is probably unnecessarily intrusive, but its fair game when you are that old, have had a recent heart attack, and most importantly, already came out and said you WOULD release all of them

The media should've done it when it happened instead they played the hope and pray he's well card. The moment to bring up his health issue was then, not like 2 months after it happened.

I thought she’d basically be Bernie but more electable but to your point her campaign has been shit. She’s tried playing both sides and has been way too cavalier about it and the whole Bernie is a sexist thing was way too forced.
I still think not running in 2016 because she was worried about the staying friendly with the Clintons despite progressive America begging her to did permanent damage to her image that she hasn’t recovered from. Prior to 2016 she was considered the leader of the progressive movement in America and Bernie basically took that role from her when he was the one willing to risk DNC blowback and run against Hillary in the primary while she was groveling to be Hillary’s VP. There’s no way to know but I don’t think Bernie runs in 2016 if she ran and the cult of followers Bernie has now would be following her.
Between letting Bernie takeover as the king of the progressives and the DNA test shit she doesn’t have the “inevitable future president” shine to her name she used to have. It’s a shame too because the CFPB is a huge accomplishment she can point to that most senators running for President don’t have on their resume.

she was doing very well in early debates with the ridiculously crowded fields, and i think she had the standout moment from those early ones when she railed on people who "go through the trouble of running for president just to talk about the things we cant do and shouldnt fight for"
her medicare for all pivot into "we'll do public option first and then come back to it" was a big red flag (and coincides with when she started plummeting in the polls following her brief stint being virtually tied with biden), but she was still my #1 until that lousy hit job. since then she's been circling the drain tbh
